Noooooooooooo!!!

Someone tell me this is a nightmare and will be gone by the morning. Please!

And of course, we know who is to blame. Has there ever been a good Thompson in Wisconsin?

  1. Well, there is George Thompson of Marquette Warrior fame.
Looks like Minnesota is going to have a better record than the Packers...again.

  2. Got to disagree with you here, my cheeseburger teasing friend. I hold PD Favre just as responsible as Thompson for his exit. I hope the viqueens suck, as I do every year. I also hope Favre stinks the joint up. I will never, under any circumstances, root for a viqueen, no matter who it is.

  3. I have to disagree, old chum. Sure, Favre's oversized ego played a part in his departure, but this was not an unknown to management, and they could have handled it, if they chose.

Now, thanks to their mishandling the situation, we lost the best QB we ever had, and are stuck with a second stringer as our starter and no back ups worth talking about. While the dang purple people eaters now have a formidable one-two punch on offense.

All that said, I have no idea what I'll be doing on 10/5 or 11/1. It will be too painful to watch Favre go against the Green and Gold.

  4. Geez...you sound as whiny as my husband...capper. ;) I already told him we won't be watching the Vikings games...but I don't think he was listening. He LOVES Brett and nothing Brett does will change that. I might have to send him your way on Sundays...LOL.

  5. Yahoo sports begs to differ with you on your opinion that Rogers is a second stringer.

  6. Capper, you're as bad as my cousin in your dislike of Rodgers who happened to have a damn good year last year. As to Favre, he's no where near his prime, and the only reason he pulled this prima donna stunt is that he didn't want to go through training camp like all those little people, er, other players. Favre is no innocent in the Packers affair like so many want to believe.

  7. I don't hate Rodgers, but he can't win games. He won't lose them, most of the time, but he can't win them.

And I never said Favre was an innocent.

  8. And as far as Yahoo Sports, who cares? We went 6-10 last year, and I don't see them doing any better this year.

  9. The Packers dug their own grave. They forced Favre to make a decision, and he made it. Im glad he went to the Vikes. I think it will be a good fit, and he still has some good football left in him.
