Walker's Pension FAIL

While I was gone, the Democrats did a little fact checking on Scott Walker's most recent commercial. What they found was that (gasp!) Walker was being less than perfectly honest in it. They even put together this video regarding it:

And you can find their press release regarding it by clicking here.

I would also remind the gentle reader that I had already did my own fact checking on this particular ad. I pointed out that Walker made the duplicitous claim that his predecessor, Tom Ament, made a money grab, but then turned around and sued Mercer for the money, claiming that they gave the County bad advice on the pension deal.

It's bad enough that Walker flip flops on every single issue, but does he really have to flip flop on who he is blaming for things as well?

  1. LOL...blame walker for not cleaning ALL the mess the previous democrats made of the pension scandal

  2. Don't people like you get on Obama for mentioning the mess Bush left him? Scotty's been in office SEVEN YEARS. Did you still give Doyle the benefit of the doubt this time last year? Tell me, when does Walker start being the guy in charge?

The fact that you never hold your boys accountable and whine about legit criticism instead of stepping up to answer it is why you have little chance this November....nationally or locally.

  3. People like you? Where were the people like you when this pension scandal started? The ignorant fact people like you want to blame walker for everything, including past democrat pilfering of the tax payers, is funny. Yeah, walkers fault all the loop holes created by dems to steal money from the tax payers for public employees aren't closed. It rained today, hurry up, still time to blame this on walker too.

  4. Hey, I haven't been making 6 figures as County exec for the last 7 years. Scotty Boy has. He and supporters like you need to own where the County is now on the pension issue, or else you're admitting this guy is a worthless figurehead, and that's not exactly governor material, now is it?

Stop whining, stop making excuses, and answer the question. When is the County's pension issue Scott Walker's responsibility to deal with?

  5. Walker's been stealing money from the tax payers for his campaign donors. Is that really any better?

Besides, due to Walker's ineptitude, people are dying. You're pissing and moaning about money, how much is a life worth?

  6. Why is it the dems in this state want to hold walker to task for not fixing dem thievery?

As far as whining goes look at all the stories posted on this site...

  7. Jake, Blaming a politician for citing the failed policies enacted before his tenure, OK. Blaming your predecessor for the current state of affairs after you've been in office over a year, not OK. See the difference?

  8. Anonymous, maybe it's because Walker said that he would fix the pension problem, but instead actually made it worse. Of course, you never want to hold Walker responsible for anything. That's a slippery slope he would never recover from.

  9. "but instead actually made it worse"

    Care to explain?

  10. He failed to get the non-repped employees to give up their back drop like he promised. There are still many that will be making big bucks due to this oversight.

He never addressed the buy back issue, which popped up on his watch.

He pushed for and got the risky pension obligation bonds which proved to be a land mine.

He refused to go after the law firm that OKed the pension deal, denying tax payers that recouped money. (He refused because Rick Graber works for the law firm, and he needed Graber's blessing to run for governor.)

  11. lol, so he is at fault for not "taking money back" from those promised money by dems. He is also at fault for not going after a law firm? The insanity of the walker hating left gets funnier everyday.

  12. He fails to keep his promises and he gives our tax money to cronies, but you are OK with that. Gotcha. In other words, you're as hypocritical as Walker.

  13. Speaking of hypocrite. You are complaining about Walker not taking money back from county employees (pension scandal) at the same time complaining in other blogs about walker requiring furlow days accusing him of stealing from workers.

Which is it, do you want him to take money from workers or not....HYPOCRITE.

  14. No, you're just being obtuse again.

Walker promised to give a certain amount of his money back, but he didn't.

He never negotiated the furloughs, nor did he demonstrate the need for them. This was doubly true when he touted his supposed surplus from last year. How much will you think of Walker when the County has to reimburse each and every worker for those two days of furloughs in 2009? Will you be happy that his grandstanding caused hundreds of thousands of dollars to be just given to workers for those two days off?

  15. LOL< wow back to complaining he didn't give more of his salary back, speaking of obtuse...

So which is it hypocrite, do you want him taking employee money or not...can't have it both ways.

    ReplyDelete
  16. If he wants employees to give up money, he can bring it to the negotiating table. Until then, it is not legal unless he proves there is a need, which he hasn't yet.

  17. Lets not do the pension thing any more- it causes too many problems. Start a 401k

  18. So hypocrite...do you want him to take employee money or not. Deflecting to the negotiating table only ignores your previous statements. Complaining about him NOT taking employee pension money WHILE complaining of him imposing furloughs (you call stealing) are the same thing. Only a lib can't see the difference...unless you are only whining about losing your money while you still want him to take others money...either way opposite positions on these is hypocritical.

  19. No, it just shows that you don't understand the concept of contracts.

  20. Adminstrator's note: I inadvertantly deleted a comment by Anonymous. Here is the comment in its entirety and unedited:

Contracts have nothing to do with your personal position posted on both of these subjects on this very blog...

Tap dance all you want, claiming both positions is hypocritical.

  21. Mmm, seems recent court rulings would go against that stance of yours.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Really, please point to a court ruling that shows you are not a hypocrite. First claiming walker is stealing your money and then complaining, because you want walker to walker to steal money from other employees from a dem derived pension scandal.
