The Walker Budget Keeps On Working! Part CXXIX

After coming off of a putrid showing by losing more than 13,000 jobs in June, Scott Walker gives us a break by chasing off only 36 jobs:
Avid Technology will close its Madison operations, at 6400 Enterprise Lane, by Sept. 30, ending the jobs of 36 employees.

The reductions were announced July 2 and are being phased in over three months. Ten of the 46 employees in Madison will keep their jobs but will work from their homes, said a spokeswoman for the publicly traded, Burlington, Mass., company.

Avid makes audio and video technology used in the music, broadcast and film industries. The Madison office was one of several that developed Avid's iNEWS computer and automation technology for broadcast newsrooms, used in more than 600 newsrooms worldwide.

Founded in 1987, Avid had $678 million in revenue in 2011.
The article goes on to say that it's part of a downsizing the company is doing. Apparently, Fitzwalkerstan isn't as business friendly as Walker would have us believe.

Who'd of thunk it?
