Mary Burke For Governor

  1. We are so screwed. She's even using Abele's talking points.

  2. Are the Dems purposely trying to hand Walker another 4 years?

  3. This is why we need Kathleen Vinehout in the race. Give her a listen, look at kathleenvinehout.org to see her wide-ranging view of Wisconsin and the problems of the state. She seems to me to have a great understanding of the problems of the state -- both in and out of the cities -- though she obviously does not have the money for the slick productions that Mary Burke does.

    1. Here! Here! I hope she jumps in the ring. She has what it takes to lead this state!

    2. Sorry, while I find Vinehout to be more palatable than Burke, I'm not a big fan of hers either.

  4. The timing suggests that Ms. Burke and DPW have increased confidence that Walker's county emails will be released in a timely manner.

I can't find a website or Twitter account for her campaign. That reflects less well on either my meager search skills or whatever organization she has.

    1. The Repubs already bought the maryburke.com domain. This does not show good forward planning.

  5. Vinehout has a handle on the budgetary process and will be able to confront Walker with his lies. Plus she's a college professor, farmer and reflects the blue color values of Wisconsin. I sure believe she will be the best candidate. She speaks with truth and honesty and my gut tells me that's what Wisconsin values most in its leaders...not their connection to money and the corruption that brings.

  6. Big mistake already by the Burke campaign -- the Republicans have control of the maryburke.org domain. Not just "oops" but "!&$@%%@"!

  7. Vinehout is fine; however, she garnered just 4% of the votes against Barret and Falk in that primary. Her base is miniscule. Unfortunately.

    1. But Vinehout was everyone's 2nd choice in that race. Dem voters were basically told by the media, the DPW, and the large pro-Dem organized interests to choose between Falk and Barrett. You see how that thinking worked out.

Vinehout's grown that base considerably since June 2012. Mostly because unlike Burke, she's been calling out GOP lies and corruption and meeting with Dem voters.

  8. She's hired Abele's campaign manager.

    1. Well, Abele did win his election . . .

    2. Not that Abele is a yardstick to measure a good candidate by...

    3. And it would be more accurate to say Abele bought his election...

  9. I Like the contrast:
    pro education vs. huge cuts,
    Harvard MBA vs. Drop out,
problem solver vs. divider and conqueror
Job creator vs. not so much,
able administrator vs. not so much,
    philanthropist vs. not so much,
    private sector vs. career politician.
And by the way, Mary does not just talk the talk and write checks. She walks the walk by volunteering at the school down the block.

    1. Trying to set up her own charter school and voting against teachers is pro-education? Not a very convincing argument when you have to make false statements.

  10. We are essentially a blue state, sans gerrymandered districts, Burke's campaign logo shows the state as red. Clever (not) is she acknowledging acknowledging present state control or her desired outcome?

So send Vinehout a donation and encouragement right now. You need to influence her decision. She's definitely not in if nobody tells her before the 1st of the year, people. DPW choice or the People's Choice?
