Republican Thugs - Blogger Edition

By Jeff Simpson

A Columnist, Claire Van Fossen, at Purple WI recently wrote a blog about - "what if we had a world without police".

I admire Ms. Van Fossen's idealism but she must not be aware that we were living in the Scott Walker Republican Thug era.   Where Divide and conquer is the name of the game.

As long as Scott Walker and others like him, are able to rally the hatred that has been simmering and boiling on the right, we need police to protect us    Ms. Van Fossen found that out the hard way.  Ms. Van Fossen received a plethora of hate mail from Conservatives
Republican thugs.  Including this gem:

Just another violence and hate filled threat from the republican thugs in Wisconsin when someone dared have an opinion they disagreed with.   TGFSW.

On any given day, I would say Progressive bloggers get more hate mail than our Governor does and the biggest difference is we can document ours.

  1. "You can document yours?" Then why no criminal charges?

Robert C. Peffer, 31, charged in a July criminal complaint, is accused of sending dozens of threatening and obscene tweets to Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker’s adult son. Peffer told investigators he was angry at the governor, and that Walker’s son was just an “innocent bystander,” according to a criminal complaint.

Robert Peffer, using the twitter handle @RepublicPrince2, made 419 tweets, 36 of which were threats against Matthew Walker, son of Governor Scott Walker.

Online court records show Robert Peffer pleaded guilty Friday to four misdemeanor counts of using a computer to send threatening or obscene messages.

Judge Dennis Flynn sentenced him to 90 days in jail and ordered him to pay a $1,000 fine on the first count. He stayed 90-day jail stints on the other three counts in lieu of probation.

    2. DB- So are you saying the guy who sent that email should be in jail?

  2. A Wisconsin kindergarten teacher whose angry outburst at signs supporting Gov. Scott Walker led to her suspension and disorderly conduct charge will be returning to the classroom in January after a semester on paid leave.

During a county fair in July, April Kay Smith, a teacher at Amy Belle Elementary School, grabbed Walker signs from the Jefferson County Republican Party booth and began stomping on them in anger.

When a Jefferson County deputy arrived, he interviewed her and the incident report said that Smith appeared “to have glassy and bloodshot eyes and slurred speech.” However, she tested at .06 in her breath test, which is below the legal limit to be intoxicated.

    1. blaska,

it's really hard to fill sorry for walker,

      I mean really hard.

    2. Great example of conservative justice, fire and black ball teacher for knocking down yard signs. Good one Mr. Bluster. Of course, if we ever catch the right wing thugs stealing and defacing Democratic yard signs, perhaps they too should lose their jobs. They're cowardly attacks in the middle of the night, as usual.

    3. yes knocking down a cardboard sign is way worse then threatening to rape someone. I am so thankful for WI reporter for making sure no one forgot who this teacher is and prolonging hr suffering. It was unfortunate though that thy were unable to get her fired. as had as they tried.

I mean who wants someone who would destory a cardboard sign, at a county fair, in the middle of the summer teaching their kids right.

    4. kind of like kedzie's kid getting beat up over a yard sign,

when investigated he was beat up because of drunk stupidity.

    5. Kedzie loved when his kid got beat up because before he even went to the hospital to check on his kid he called the romney/ryan campaign to try and make his kid a martyr

  3. The state Department of Justice documented dozens of threats against Walker, his family, and Democratic and Republican lawmakers during protests over Walker’s 2011 proposal to effectively eliminate collective bargaining for public sector employees and the recall elections that followed. The threats were made by email, letter, phone, verbally and via social media like Twitter and Facebook.
One email sent to Walker’s campaign warned the governor could “watch” while the sender sexually assaulted his wife. Another email to the Walker campaign said, “DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE. I HOPE YOU, YOUR WIFE. KIDS GET MURDERED!”

One letter to Tonette Walker, which was postmarked in Green Bay and sent to the executive residence, began, “HI TONETTE, Has Wisconsin ever had a governor assassinated? Scotts heading that way. Or maybe one of your sons getting killed would hurt him more. I want him to feel the pain.”

    1. blaska if these threats are true, why are you the only one talking about them.

actually, I believe in nothing you say.

      NOTHING !!!!

    2. Sure there have been some threats and they have been dealt with, but there are also just as many against Democrats. I acknowledge that there are idiots sending stupid stuff to repubs.

The point im making though, is when Scott Walker says someone threatened to "gut his wife like a deer" and there is absolutely no proof that ever happened. that means that came from Scott Walkers mind. What kind of sick twisted psycho would make up a story about their wife like that for political gain?

    3. Then there was the mad spitter incident that Walker used to talk about that absolutely did not happen.

Again using his family as a pop for his political ambition. Scott Walker is someone in need of psychological counseling.

    5. Blaska, you are really trying hard today. It does NOT matter what your political affiliation is - no one should threaten to harm another for political persecution. You are incapable of having an unbiased view. You buy into us vs them, no matter what. No one that reads this blog agrees with your opinion. No one wants to hear your juvenile rants about anyone other than Walker backers. I am tired of you. Tired of Walker constantly trying to horrify people across the nation in his public pity party. No one said they would gut Tonette like a deer. Walker will not provide proof. Nor could Walker substantiate his meeting with union zealots that blocked his Pope mobile mentioned in his book. Another fabrication of Walker's imagination. Walker is not the Eagle Scout he pretends
to be, and there is significant PROOF of that. So Blaska, do yourself and enjoy the nice weather today, take a walk and blow off some steam. And please, stop trying to peddle your pro - Walker BS here. Peddle it in your column to the right wing zealots. And last, stop justifying rape because some guy harassed Scott Jr. Not on the same level, although wrong.

    6. No, no, no. I think the point Blaska is trying to make is that anyone who sends a criminal threat should be charged with a crime. And even serve time for the offense. Is that correct Mr. Blaska?

  4. Come on Blaska, everyone knows you authored the "DIE DIE DIE DIE " email and the Knotzies sent the other threats you mention.

  5. Only Blaska would try to justify threats of sexual violence towards women. You're a real piece of work, buddy, and not even remotely in a good way. And how are we supposed to know those threats towards Walker are even true considering he's been caught lying about them? He can't tell the truth about anything.

    1. yes Meg in rightwing world, especially in Fitzalkerstan, its very much ok to threaten a woman with sexual violence because she dared to have an opinion that was not run through the Waukesha filter.

  6. Nope, Blaska is correct. Multi-millionaire Nick Hanauer wrote about it in "The Pitchforks Are Coming... For Us Plutocrats". According to Hanauer, "If we don't do something to fix the glaring inequities in this economy, the pitchforks are going to come for us."
As Walker turns this state over to the .01 percenters like Hanaeur, he increases the possibility of creating the anarchy which Hanaeur warns about. The threatening messages Walker receives very well might be the tip of the iceberg showing.

    1. If Walker keeps disenfranchising people the way he has in WI, he and his benefactors are ill advised to believe revolt won't happen. When the majority have nothing to lose, revolution will begin. Wonder how many will stand with Walker then? Blaska isn't right about much of anything. Austerity hasn't worked out well for Europe, and if Walker keeps sticking the screws to constituents and political "friends", Walker may finally begin the process of people collectively pushing back. Big and bold. Surgical even...

  7. Are you sure YOU didn't write that to Claire Van Fossen, Homer? It sounds a lot like your old purple prose at Purple Wisconsin.. just the right amount of crazy mixed with hate, ignorance and illiteracy.

    1. No kidding, and he actively stoked the flames. But I f one person responds in kind to WHAAAAAA-ska then Mr. Wingnut Welfare screeches "INTOLERANT LIBERALS ARE TRYING TO SILENCE ME!", on his blog and his radio appearances.

The gutlessness and whining by WHAAAA-ska and his fellow Knotsies are probably the thing I can't stand about them most. And rape threats? That guy is not only a sick pud, but he should get a visit from the cops.

    2. Now, now, Ms. Van Fossen pledged not to call the cops for New Years'. Indeed, it looks like she has an opportunity for some "face to face conflict resolution" now that the perp has been identified in the media.

Go figure, according to the story in JSO, the person Claire successfully trolled was an ELCA minister located in LaCrosse. That's Democrat country, and those Lutherans vote pretty Democratic. Collateral damage?

    3. actually he wasnt ELCA, he was WELS synod. He has already resigned and a quick check of his facebook shows him to be a hard core solid republican.

  11. Remember that this happened:

"A Madison man pleaded guilty Tuesday to making a telephone threat to blow up the offices of the Democratic Party of Wisconsin earlier this year, one of more than 100 calls he had been charged with making to the office."

"Prosecutors said Diederich left a voice mail message saying that when the building explodes, the bombings of Sterling Hall on the UW-Madison campus and the federal building in Oklahoma City would 'seem like a firecracker compared to what's gonna happen to you people.'"

  13. Blaska...you are aware that each of the 14 Dem senators received around the same number of "credible" death threats" as your Governor friend Walker? As I recall Erpenbach received just one less credible death threat than walker, yet one of these two has not been seen in public in years, enters and leaves the capital through a tunnel with a bunch of armed security, while the other (along with his democratic colleagues) leaves via the public entryways without security, and is frequently seen going about hid daily life...unprotected by any armed guards and meeting with his constituents (both the supportive ones, and the non supportive ones). Face it Blaska, your hero is an even bigger pussy than you. Also, i'd be interested to know if anyone actually threatened to rape the Governor's sons?

    1. Lying again Blaska! Maybe you have a secret yearning for Tonette, but NO ONE threatened to rape her! Blaska you are sick!

    2. Walker is a coward. Sarge is right. Walker hides behind a large security team and takes tunnels into the Capitol. So much for big, bold, courageous! Walker has security 24/7. I doubt Walker sleeps without security outside his door. Walker is pro-gun, but Walker supporters who bring guns to Walker events have to lock the guns in their car or be denied entry. Lol, Walker is a wimp!!

  14. Scott Walker by now has such a long and well-established record of lies, typically of the self-aggrandizing variety, that — in case of doubt about a claim that (if true) would garner him sympathy — it is probably safer to bet on its being false.
