It now costs taxpayers at least $40 million dollars more per year, with devastating results, like the 20 deaths in the last three years.

Or Walker's proposal to privatize the public assistance call center. His proposal would only have 13 people to do the work, instead of the 30 county workers that could do it for the EXACT SAME cost.

Do I really need to go on?capperhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08751967312821403092noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5888314760091661875.post-10567768675870719632009-01-29T10:08:00.000-06:002009-01-29T10:08:00.000-06:00The most telling comment on this post."Even though...The most telling comment on this post.

"Even though on paper a private agency or corporation may present a lower figure to do the same job, once that money has been taken out of the public's hands, it no longer remains ours."

So the money is government's? It isn't taken out of the "public's" hands when you privatize something. That is putting it BACK in the public's hands. It is taken out of the public's hands when we are taxed. That "private money" also recirculates in the economy, but more in the public sector, where it came from, than within government. Another win-win.

I've yet to see anything outside of the military and police and fire, that government does well. Other than that, half of what we spend on government can be done better and cheaper in the private sector, the other half, there just isn't any real need to do.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5888314760091661875.post-57757629368755114792009-01-28T21:58:00.000-06:002009-01-28T21:58:00.000-06:00Not wishy-washy at all. At least until we get a Sheriff that is willing and capable of doing the job and doing it correctly. That seems a bit wishy washy. Either it's a good idea or not.yoSAMitehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17930132220632116825noreply@blogger.com
