"Scott Walker In Need Of Makeover" Christian Schneider

By Jeff Simpson

Its gotten so bad in the republican party, that even perpetual righty shrill Christian Schneider sees the writing on the wall:

Now nearing five years old, the tea party is desperately in need of a makeover. But it's going to need more than power-clashing ties and skinny jeans to turn the public's opinion around. In the most recent Marquette University Law School poll, only 23% of Wisconsinites said they had a favorable view of the tea party, with 47% saying they viewed the tea party unfavorably.

Ouch!  That does not bode well for Scott Walker!

"When people ask me, 'How do you appeal to Tea Party folks?' I say: I was the original Tea Party in Wisconsin," Scott Walker said. "Eight years ago we held recalls. We got rid of a county executive who had been in office almost since the time I was born."

  1. The Tea Party philosophy is based on the most extremist demagogues in right wing media. Demagogues such as Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Mark Levin, Bill O’Reilly, Laura Ingraham, Sean Hannity, Mark Belling, Vicki McKenna and Charlie Sykes know that creating fear and anger draws a crowd so the demagogue can make a good buck. Pragmatic politics are not their priority.

A good example is how the Tea Party wants to cuts taxes and balance the budget. Cutting taxes is easy. But when it comes to balancing the budget, reality strikes. The politicians who have to do the cutting quickly realize there are no good spots to cut - unless you want to cut benefits of public employees or borrow money to balance the budget (the ultimate oxymoron of Walker). In the process, the Tea Party leaders have to demonize public employees as greedy thugs fleecing taxpayers. Tea Party rank and file are gullible, so they buy the fear and hate mongering. But it does not make for good government.

The demagogues have turned their loyal listeners into rabid extremists who live in an alternative universe. Shock therapy is required to bring them back to reality. Whether you are Christian Schneider or Eric Cantor, you soon learn that the delusional are lost, and everyone else who are grounded in reality want nothing to do with them.

The Tea Party is doomed to self-destruction. All who tied their wagons to their crazy talk will implode with them.

    1. There is no better example how Tea Party devotees have no sense of reality is Sen. Ron Johnson's lawsuit claiming Obamacare harmed him. Johnson still thinks Obamacare is the government takeover of healthcare. You can't fix delusional any more than you can fix stupid. Delusional Tea Party devotees is the legacy of right wing media.

  2. We need a video clip of Walker saying "I was the original Tea Party" to post and play over and over and over and over and over...

    1. And then in the next frames show the racist idiocy that Tea Party morans are only so glad to show.

Walker never holds his own supporters to account, but he's more than glad to reap any rewards from their act. He needs to be shown as the condoner of hate that he is.

  3. At least the campaign slogan on the wall behind Walker is giving him the proper advice, "Believe in WI again." An idea that has eluded the majority party for four years, starting with the bucks stop here (in his criminal defense fund) Walker himself.

  4. Your right Christian, Mr. Walker needs a makeover. I suggest he start making himself more accessible to his constituents and less accessible to out of state millionaires. Why not some public appearances? Mingle with the crowds at the State Fair, shake hands on Breeze Terrace before a Badge Game at Camp Randle, or walk in Janesville's Labor Day Parade. Let us show you our love, Governor.
