He brought it to the senate for crying out loud. In reality, as long as his community school gets fund it is OK.

Mike Ellis told the press that the schools needed a flat amount of state aid across the state, but he has been dead silent ever since and voted to spend more per student in voucher schools than in many rural schools.

Mary Williams district was loaded with struggling rural schools, she voted for expansion of vouchers and cuts to public schools. Then the GOP moves the most affected schools out of her assembly district just in case the citizens might choose their schools survival over party politics.

So while some property owners are enjoying their 13 bucks in tax relief, the rural schools face do or die referendums to increase their taxes.
What the current GOP has done to our schools is the worst sign of the cowardly and money hungry thieves we have running the state. They are told to do what the puppetmasters tell them or their campaign funding will be cut. If they still decide to vote for their schools, the party runs someone else whom they support in a primary. What do they do, they choose the money and tell lies.

What do we do Fred? Where do we go from here? My district has lost teachers and the ones we have are looking to bail out. Our board has cut their pay, taken money out of their HRAs, taken away their work protection, thrown out their contracts. Our building is falling apart, we have few aides, long bus routes, etc.. By the way, we were one of the best in the state only a few years back. Meanwhile, voucher schools get well over twice the money per student as we get from the state.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
