Mitt i
s in over his head this week when part of his past(there will be more) comes back to haunt him. Hence the story that the right wing keeps circulating that Condoleeza Rice
is the front runner to be Mitt's Vice Presidential Candidate.
You heard it here first, Condoleeza Rice, will
NOT be Mitt's VP! Neither the
Condoleeza Rice oil tanker, nor the
Condoleeze Rice that was in over her head in the Bush Administration will be on the republican ticket this year!
I'd put good money on the likelihood that Chevron tanker Condoleeza Rice was/is a foreign flagged ship.
ReplyDeleteYes, you are correct.
DeleteIn fact, most vessels, while owned by North American companies and wholly operating in North American waters, these very vessels will be "flagged," or registered out of a foreign port.
Why?
Ports with few (if none) regulations, fees, safety standards, etc., are HUGE attractions for ship owners to flock to for the "home" port.
And I thought that picture above was edited, but I was wrong.
But, only briefly....
http://www.sfgate.com/politics/article/Chevron-redubs-ship-named-for-Bush-aide-2922481.php
"... "We made the change to eliminate the unnecessary attention caused by the vessel's original name," said Chevron spokesman Fred Gorell. ..."
Yes that picture was not edited at all, it was taken before the name change.....
DeleteWasn't it more customary to name ships after the aristocracy, anyway?
DeleteOh, right....
But, maybe it was warships..., oh, right.....
this is a rice-a-phony story.
ReplyDeleteI actually like Condi, it's too bad her talent was wasted on that President.
DeleteI really don't like Condi and I hate to be PC, but there's a sexist element in that vid (P.M.S.Y., etc.). I'm a guy, but I'm kind of tired of seeing sexist bashing of strong women (Hillary Nutcrackers, etc.) - it seems ubiquitous in our culture.
