The Walker Budget Is Already Working! Part XIV

Scott Walker's budget must be really kicking in, because the news of job losses are coming in fast and furious:
Weather Shield Inc. plans to shutter its factory in Park Falls, located in Price County in northwestern Wisconsin, leaving 154 workers without jobs.

Layoffs are expected to begin Oct. 24, according to a plant closing notice filed Tuesday with the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development.
Remind me, did he say he was going to create 250,000 jobs for Wisconsin or that he was going to lose 250,000 jobs for Wisonsin?

Preliminary Budget Hearing Scheduled

Dear Community Members,

The City of Milwaukee will hold a 2012 Preliminary Budget Hearing to ensure the 2012 City of Milwaukee Budget addresses the needs of our community. Mayor Tom Barrett, Finance and Personnel Committee Chair, Alderman Michael Murphy, Budget Director Mark Nicolini and budget staff will provide information regarding the budget planning process and give attendees an opportunity to share input on City services. City residents are encouraged to attend.
