Scott Walker Has Hand On Heart And Fingers Crossed

By Jeff Simpson

The flag debate is one that seems to be ramping up instead of losing steam.

We have covered, and everyone has covered, the professional athletes protests during the national anthem.

The Donald has done what he does best - ramp up the hatred to try and win.    He sent one of his many errand boys - Mike Pence - to an NFL game to make a big show of walking out when the players took a knee.

The planned out "protest" cost the taxpayers over $250,000, but a lesson needed to be taught to African Americans for thinking they had a voice in our country.

I left today's Colts game because and I will not dignify any event that disrespects our soldiers, our Flag, or our National Anthem.

Thank Goodness you would never disrespect our soldiers!

Scott Walker, still with his crazed Presidential ambitions, after all he still thinks God told him He wants him to be President(although I think it may have actually been Amy that told him that) .

Scott Walker felt the need to weigh in on the flag debate. to let us know how Patriotic he is

Asked if he would walk out of a Packers game if he saw players kneeling during the Anthem, the governor replied:
"Well, thankfully I've seen them stand. I was at the games a couple weeks ago. You know, the bottom line is I expect my family to stand. It's how my parents raised me, that when the flag goes by in a parade or the national anthem is sung, no matter where you are, you stand and put your had over your heart."
While he did not directly answer whether he would walk out, Walker did call on players and fans to do what he does.
"The appropriate response for me is to do what I expect others to do," he said. "That is stand, put my hand over my heart, and call on others to do the same."
"There are other ways to make their message be heard out there," Walker said. "I'd love for them to find better ways that don't offend service members and veterans in this country."
Well Scott is well known for his short term memory loss, only rivaling the amount of hypocrisy he has.

Scott Walker seems to have forgotten that he once made a production of showing how well he can take care of the flag, while actually doing it wrong!

Then Scott Walker showed his unwavering support for veterans by passing a voter ID bill, that made Veterans ID's ineligible.

Also during the Capitol Protests, he had one of the Solidarity Singers arrested.  This particular Solidarity Singer is a vietnam war veteran and American Hero, who was treated so poorly, he was actually thrown down the stairs.

But Wait!!  There is more-----

According to US Flag Code: §176. Respect for flag:

  • (d) The flag should never be used as wearing apparel, bedding, or drapery. It should never be festooned, drawn back, nor up, in folds, but always allowed to fall free. Bunting of blue, white, and red, always arranged with the blue above, the white in the middle, and the red below, should be used for covering a speaker's desk, draping the front of the platform, and for decoration in general.

(i) The flag should never be used for advertising purposes in any manner whatsoever. It should not be embroidered on such articles as cushions or handkerchiefs and the like, printed or otherwise impressed on paper napkins or boxes or anything that is designed for temporary use and discard. Advertising signs should not be fastened to a staff or halyard from which the flag is flown.

Of course we have come to expect the Wisconsin Media to take dictation and not ask for follow up of any of these blatant issues of hypocrisy.

As long as Scott Walker knows he will not ever have to answer for his ever changing positions, I guess he will continue playing us for the sucker!

PS;  Extra Credit:  Scott Walker, always the politician, and one of 17 people who vied to be the GOP nominee for President (of which The Donald emerged), felt the need to weigh in on the Democratic Primary for Governor(and of course was unchallenged):

He also took a swipe at the size of the Democratic field."One after another's running because they look at the field and aren't satisfied that that person's good enough, so they keep moving to the next and the next and the next," he said.

Now Ron Johnson Wants To Kill Me!

By Jeff Simpson

As I posted a while back, Paul Ryan's goal this session seems to be to want to kill me!

U.S.  House of Representatives Speaker Paul Ryan called on Wednesday for an end to Obamacare’s financial protections for people with serious medical conditions, saying these consumers should be placed in state high-risk pools. In election-year remarks that could shed light on an expected Republican health care alternative, Ryan said existing federal policy that prevents insurers from charging sick people higher rates for health coverage has raised costs for healthy consumers while undermining choice and competition. The rule, a cornerstone of President Barack Obama’s Affordable Care Act, has been praised by patient advocates for providing access to medical care for people who previously could not afford private health insurance. The Affordable Care Act also bars insurers from excluding coverage for pre-existing conditions
Now his good friend  Ron Johnson (S-Married into money), is simpatico with Paul Ryan:

The fact that I have had health care, and been healthy most of my life, but then in 2010, was one of the unlucky ones to develop cancer does not matter.  Ron Johnson looks upon me, and others like me, as irresponsible drivers and my cancer(my pre-existing condition) as equal to a car crash.  Why should he have to pay more, he is not sick.

As if that was not enough, Vice President Mike Pence (R- Shock Gays Straight), goes  a step further(emphasis mine):

Had the 12.7 million people who get newly diagnosed each year, or the 7.6 million people who lose their fight to cancer, only been a bit more personally responsible, then this all would be avoided.

Apparently, Ron Johnson's daughter was not personally responsible(maybe by not exercising enough, or eating right), that she needed major heart surgery at age 2!

It is a very stressful time in America, when we are under one party rule, and the one party that is ruling, looks upon millions of Americans as drags on the system for contracting an illness.  It is even more magnified, when it is your child that has the illness.

I am certain we are better than this and we need to actually "drain the swamp" in 2018!

Our lives depend on it!

Scott Walker - Captain Chaos

By Jeff Simpson

In yet another stop in the "Wisconsin Taxpayers pay for Scott Walker to do anything but actually govern" tour, Scott Walker spent the day at the White House!

On the day of the incredibly UnAmerican partial Muslim ban, Scott Walker spent the day in the White House Celebrating with The Donald and the other guy who is Vice President and I can never seem to remember his name!

When you spend your day posing a religious test on certain people in this world, what else is there to do but celebrate and take pictures marking this momentous day!

The stupidity of the "ban" and its complex far-reaching dire consequences are for another post another day.  I just want to point out that wherever Scott Walker seems to turn up, chaos follows!

As Scott Walker was sitting in the White House discussing how poorly Muslim Countries treat women with family values "Christians" Newt Gingrich and the other guy:

This was happening just down the road at Dulles Airport:

Your not a leader if all you do is create chaos!

By the way- Winner for best sign at the Protests!

Paul Ryan - Human Jellyfish

By Jeff Simpson

Paul Ryan (R-Wall St.) was Captain Constitution every time President Obama signed an executive order:

Top House Republicans slammed President Obama’s embrace of executive action to move his agenda forward on Sunday, saying the president’s freelancing creates a trust deficit that makes bipartisan legislating more difficult.
“We have an increasingly lawless presidency where he is actually doing the job of Congress, writing new policies and new laws without going through Congress. Presidents don't write laws, Congress does,” Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wis., told ABC. “Executive orders are one thing, but executive orders that actually change the statute, that's totally different.”
Now that The Donald has somehow been elected to the Presidency, he is in a fever pitch to sign as many executive orders as he can.  Captain Constitution Paul Ryan's response:

Opps, sorry that was supposed to be off the record.

 Here is his official response:

No wonder Paul Ryan made an appearance on Wikipedia (under invertebrates):

Which is why Charley Pierce, blogger extraordinaire calls Paul The Biggest Fake Ever!

Mike Pence Gets More Than A Performance

By Jeff Simpson

Vice President Elect Mike Pence, took time out of trying not to piss The Donald off, and attended the Musical Hamilton.   When the show was over. the full cast used their curtain call to deliver a message to the soon to be VP:

There are seasons in every country when noise and impudence pass current for worth; and in popular commotions especially, the clamors of interested and factious men are often mistaken for patriotism. Alexander Hamilton

The Trump Stain Will Never Come Out

By Jeff Simpson

“I’ve got to use some Tic Tacs, just in case I start kissing her,” Trump says. “You know I’m automatically attracted to beautiful — I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait.”
“And when you’re a star, they let you do it,” Trump says. “You can do anything.”
“Whatever you want,” says another voice, apparently Bush’s.
“Grab them by the p---y,” Trump says. “You can do anything.”
Of course the WISGOP are front and center in this situation, fully embarrassing Wisconsin.

Rep Michael Schraa, who represents the 53rd Assembly District, and whose profile reads,   Hubby 2 an amazing gal. Dad to 3 awesome girls and then tweeted this in response to Trumps words:

Here's Wisconsin state rep 's reaction to the story, as shared on Facebook:

A State Rep. and father of three girls makes light of a 59 year old man talking about raping any woman he finds attractive.   Welcome to Wisconsin - 2016.

Luckily for Mr. Schraa, and unfortunately for the 53rd Assembly district, Mr. Shraa has no opponent to vote for.  Enjoy two more years of this Roger Rivard type of comedian.       Do not bother looking for the tweet, Captain Courageous deleted it.

But wait there is more.

Until 8:00 PM tonight, Donald Trump was on his way for a lovefest with the Wisconsin Republican Party.  Scott Walker, Ron Johnson, Paul Ryan, Scott Fitzgerald et all had just bought new lipstick to kiss The Donalds butt.

However, due to heavy pressure, Paul Ryan cancelled The Donalds appearance.   Paul Ryan was completely disgusted(emphasis mine).

"I am sickened by what I heard today," Ryan said in a statement issued late Friday. "Women are to be championed and revered, not objectified. I hope Mr. Trump treats this situation with the seriousness it deserves and works to demonstrate to the country that he has greater respect for women than this clip suggests. In the meantime, he is no longer attending tomorrow’s event in Wisconsin."

Apparently to Paul Ryan, calling a woman "Miss Piggy" and a Latina woman "Miss Housekeeping" is his way to champion and revere women.  With friends like that .....

But wait there is more!

What will the Donald be doing now that he was uninvited from the Paul Ryan hugfest?  Hanging out with Reince Priebus of course.

But wait, let's throw one more fun fact in for good measure.

Republican Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald predicts that with the help of the WOW counties.  Granted they would still be sending us Wild Bill Kramer if he wasn't in prison, but really it is no surprise that Scott Fitzgerald would find no problem with The Donald's behavior.

"I’ve not only become a believer that he is the best candidate to be the next president, but it’s about unifying that message behind the Trump campaign," Fitzgerald said.

There will be lots of love, lots of how great the GOP is and no talk of Trump tomorrow in Walworth.
Do not let them fool you.  Everyone on that stage will gladly walk in the voting booth and pull the lever for Trump.   Maybe when Trump wins in November, he will replace all of the Generals with the people on the stage tomorrow.

Sleep well thinking about that!

Mike Pence WIll Save Us(From Mulan?)!

By Jeff Simpson

 n

Mike Pence actually blamed Mulan on liberal propaganda to get Women on equal footing in the military!

“Despite her delicate features and voice, Disney expects us to believe that Mulan’s ingenuity and courage were enough to carry her to military success on an equal basis with her cloddish cohorts,” wrote Pence. “Obviously, this is Walt Disney’s attempt to add childhood expectation to the cultural debate over the role of women in the military.”

“I suspect that some mischievous liberal at Disney assumes that Mulan’s story will cause a quiet change in the next generation’s attitude about women in combat and they just might be right,” Pence continued. “(Just think about how often we think of Bambi every time the subject of deer hunting comes into the mainstream media debate.)”

But wait- There's more!

Its not just that women can not handle it, its that they will want to sleep with their commanding officers(emphasis mine).

“It is instructive that even in the Disney film, young Ms. Mulan falls in love with her superior officer! Me thinks the politically correct Disney types completely missed the irony of this part of the story,” writes Pence. “They likely added it because it added realism with which the viewer could identify with the characters. You see, now stay with me on this, many young men find many young women to be attractive sexually. Many young women find many young men to be attractive sexually. Put them together, in close quarters, for long periods of time, and things will get interesting. Just like they eventually did for young Mulan. Moral of story: women in military, bad idea.”

The High Price Of Bigotry The Walker Edition

When Indiana Governor Mike Pence signed the Right to Bigotry law on Friday, he set off of a firestorm he hadn't expected. The blow back has been fierce, with people, companies and other entities pulling out of the state or threatening to do so. The biggest of which - so far - has been from Angie's List, which is pulling out of a $40 million, 1,000-job expansion that they had planned for Indiana.

What Pence also did was take the heat off of Scott Walker, his bigotry and its high cost:
The State of Wisconsin's unsuccessful court battle to prevent gay marriage will cost taxpayers more than $1 million, under an agreement released Friday.

State Attorney General Brad Schimel, a Republican, and attorneys for eight gay and lesbian couples reached the agreement after the couples successfully sued to overturn the state's 2006 constitutional ban on same-sex marriage.

The couples were represented by the American Civil Liberties Union, which sought $1.25 million to cover its costs because the couples prevailed in their lawsuit. Ultimately, the ACLU will receive nearly $1.1 million, under the stipulation released Friday.

Carl Tobias, a law professor at the University of Richmond in Virginia who believes bans like Wisconsin's are unconstitutional, said that he wasn't surprised at the cost to state taxpayers and that it could have been worse. Gov. Scott Walker, one of the defendants, and then-Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen, both Republicans, opposed the same-sex plaintiffs at every level of the federal court system, he said.

"The state never seemed to appreciate how much taxpayer money is expended on this type of litigation in which it was pretty clear from the outset that Wisconsin was going to lose," Tobias said.
The article does not include the cost to taxpayers for the state's attorneys to fight this quixotic battle, the court costs, the loss in work hours for the scores of people that testified, etc., which would raise the cost easily over $2 million.

At least there's a chance that Pence will have to pay for his hatred politically. The only thing that Walker will have to face is the grumblings of some rabid, foam-at-the-mouth, uber conservatives that are mad that he gave up so soon.

Republican Crazies!

Do we really want these people running our country?

1.  Our very own Senator Ron Johnson thinks if employers can't deny coverage to cancer patients, its the end of the world as we know it. (Ed. note - I purposely left the video out, because the stupid burns)

KEYES: I know Richard Murdock had said even though businesses should give people, for instance, with cancer, health coverage, they shouldn’t be legally required by the federal government.

JOHNSON: They shouldn’t. Listen, our rights are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. And when we start expanding beyond that realm, when you create a right for somebody, you create an obligation for somebody else, and then you’re taking away that person’s right. And that maybe doesn’t seem all that great, but it’s just true. Our nation was based on the foundation of freedom and limited government.

2.  Indiana Congressman and gubernatorial candidate(what makes these guys think they are eligible for promotions?) Mike Pence  believes that the SCOTUS upholding Obamacare is equal to the terrorists attacks of  9-11.

In a closed door House GOP meeting Thursday, Indiana congressman and gubernatorial candidate Mike Pence likened the Supreme Court's ruling upholding the Democratic health care law to the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, according to several sources present.

3.   Mitt Romney invested in medical-waste firm that disposed of aborted Fetuses!

Here's what happened with Stericycle. In November 1999, Bain Capital and Madison Dearborn Partners, a Chicago-based private equity firm, filed with the SEC a Schedule 13D, which lists owners of publicly traded companies, noting that they had jointly purchased $75 million worth of shares in Stericycle, a fast-growing player in the medical-waste industry. (That April, Stericycle had announced plans to buy the medical-waste businesses of Browning Ferris Industries and Allied Waste Industries.) The SEC filing lists assorted Bain-related entities that were part of the deal, including Bain Capital (BCI), Bain Capital Partners VI (BCP VI), Sankaty High Yield Asset Investors (a Bermuda-based Bain affiliate), and Brookside Capital Investors (a Bain offshoot). And it notes that Romney was the "sole shareholder, Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President of BCI, BCP VI Inc., Brookside Inc. and Sankaty Ltd."

The document also states that Romney "may be deemed to share voting and dispositive power with respect to" 2,116,588 shares of common stock in Stericycle "in his capacity as sole shareholder" of the Bain entities that invested in the company. That was about 11 percent of the outstanding shares of common stock. (The whole $75 million investment won Bain, Romney, and their partners 22.64 percent of the firm's stock—the largest bloc among the firm's owners.) The original copy of the filing was signed by Romney.
