The Walker Budget Is Already Working! Part LXXX

Now Scott Walker is turning on the companies used to privatize services, or at least the ones that the Doyle administration contracted with:
Job reductions announced this week by HP Enterprise Services are related to a planned phase-out of one contract with the state of Wisconsin, a company spokesman said Thursday. About 134 employees will be affected at the Madison facility, 313 Blettner Blvd. on the East Side, and 23 in Milwaukee. The reductions will begin April 28.

Two years ago, the state contracted with HP to expedite the processing of food stamp requests by augmenting government workforces at enrollment services centers in Madison and Milwaukee, said William Ritz, public relations manager for HP Enterprise Services.
I guess they just didn't donate enough to Walker's coffers.

Of course, he's also kicking more people off of food stamps, saying "Let them eat cake." With less demand comes less work and less jobs. Just like what's happening with the rest of the state.

  1. OK, we are all convinced, now tell us how or what Falk can or will do to improve these situations? Maybe by pushing more food stamps we wouldnt need to lose these jobs?
If she doesnt have the endless contributions Walker does she will need you to help deliver her message, because I havent heard anything of substance from her yet.
She'll have to figure out something better than "he is so bad, how could I be worse?"
She might also be wise to distance herself from all the thuggery we saw in madison during the protests.

    1. If you haven't heard "anything of substance," you haven't been listening.

    2. I forgot. Shes sworn to re-instate collective bargaining. And work with the people of WI to solve our problems together. Whatever that means.

And right there, you show why Walker is going to be recalled. Thank you for making such a good bad example.

  2. I don't think this is a by choice move on Walker's part. Basically the USDA wrote to him last April reminding him how the law reads on who may be employed in processing which parts of Food Stamp applications.

The USDA is watching his administration fairly closely and I believe any attempts to circumvent the law will be jumped on fast.

You can ensure the official eye remains on the target by writing letters to the gentleman mentioned by name in the article if you have provable allegations.

    1. Larry,

Those are two separate things. These people were brought on to help the state catch up to federal standards. There was a giant influx of people applying due to the recession.

What Walker wanted to do was privatize the whole system, which is not allowed.
