Walker's Next Litigation Will Be In Marinette County

Last year, Scott Walker appointed a new Register of Deeds for Marinette County.  The woman who he appointed had no experience and didn't even know what the job entailed.  But she was a Republican campaign worker and the wife of Rep. John Nygren's campaign treasurer.

To appoint this unqualified toady, Walker skipped over three other applicants who knew the job inside and out.

Two months ago, we then learned of James Morrison, a carpetbagger from Michigan, who was vying for a job as a circuit court judge.  His biggest qualifications was being a campaign donor to Walker and had aided David "Chokehold" Prosser in his election.

As with the register job, Morrison faced a contender, Michael Perry, an attorney who's lives in Marinette County.

Guess who got the job.  Yup, the carpetbagger.

I reckon Walker figured he needed a back up since Judge Mac Davis' ethical lapse and poor judgment has diminished his effectiveness.

    1. Carpetbagger is more a historico-critical repurposing of a pejorative term than a nickname. And that would make Imustbera a voluntary confederated scalawag...

    2. And toady is an apt descriptor for any such sycophant.

  3. How about the Texas nurse Dir. of Public Health appointment?
Will the Wisconsin citizens who were passed over file? =through the public employees union or as individuals in a labor dispute or in civil court?
Did any of these WI people lose an existing job? or incur any other damage to their career?
Do the lawsuits have to be instituted by the Wisconsin citizens who were passed over for the jobs or can another party start it?
What financial backing does this kind of litigation require?

Is direct evidence of their out-of-state political support for WI republicans and can it be clearly illustrated fot the courts and the public?

What is the legal basis for litigation against Walker cronyism- hasn't critical mass has been achieved by now?

  5. These are unfair to the people with the real qualifications, but even more damaging to the people of the state of Wisconsin. It is horrible when only people who do favors to those in power are in the jobs at the top. The state will never prosper.

  6. Kick-backs from political donations are the root problem - time to kick the kick-back process in the butt! We have a right to fair elections, inherently a right which protects all other rights through the election of honest representation = protections of all other essential rights, and thus a right to set limits on money in politics so that all constituents have equality of representation. No more cronyism, favoritism, lobbying jobs from officials' businesses, etc.
