Another Business Leaves Milwaukee County

JSOnline is reporting that yet another business is leaving Milwaukee County:
General Rubber Co., a distributor of hoses and accessories for hydraulic, air, water, refrigeration and other equipment, has moved its offices from Milwaukee to a larger facility at 16988 W. Victor Road in New Berlin.
Note that it is not leaving the state. In fact, the article points out that they have another facility in Appleton.

In fact, Wisconsin is the best state in the country when it comes to having manufacturing jobs.

Yet Walker thinks he is the cure to the state's problems. I would think not.

  1. Walker? What does this have to do with Walker?

The company escaped the agony that is living in Milwaukee County's already hefty tax-burden (that Walker has kept even despite the pension crisis) and they went to a better county.

The City of Milwaukee, MPS and the county are eating up a portion of people's monthly home payments that could go towards reducing their debt and interest.... it isn't much different for a business.

Milwaukee is going to become Detroit if Barrett doesn't get his head out of his own ass.

  3. The comment so dense, it had to be posted twice.

General Rubber isn't the first that left due to Walker's ineptitude and poor management.

  4. Walker has been swimming against the tide the whole time! Taxes in this city/county are what the problem is here...when he is gone next year, and you have good ol' Lee Hollowway running the ship, taxes will increase appropriatly and the you will see the real exodus.

Have fun watching your crime rates increase exponentially!!

  5. Well, now no one will be swimming, if Walker gets his way. Then crime WILL go up.

Funny thing is Walker is running a perpetual deficit, yet that's OK. It's only bad when Doyle does it.
