Evers Refuses Walker’s Political Ploy – Stands up for Wisconsin Kids Amidst Growing Constitutional Crisis

By Tony Evers

MADISON – Today, State Superintendent Tony Evers announced he is firing the Wisconsin Department of Justice (DOJ) in representing the Department of Public Instruction after being denied from choosing his own legal representation. Governor Walker and Attorney General Brad Schimel are attempting to force Evers to use their own hand-picked attorneys – who have already said they oppose Tony's position in this most recent lawsuit.

“I just have one thing to say to Scott Walker’s hand-picked lawyers -- you’re fired,” Evers said.  “You’re fired for abusing your power in order to force your right-wing agenda on our public schools.  You’re fired because, in a democracy, the Governor doesn’t get to choose his opponents on the ballot or his opponent’s lawyers in court.”

Evers is once again being sued by the right-wing think tank, the Wisconsin Institute on Law and Liberty (WILL), on whether Evers, an independent constitutional officer recently re-elected with 70% of the vote, needs Governor Walker's approval to make rules and regulations affecting our schools.  The Wisconsin Supreme Court already found Walker’s power-grab unconstitutional last year. To ensure a victory this go around, last week Walker is trying to ensure his lawyers represent both sides of the case.

Earlier today, Evers was joined by Lester Pines, a Madison attorney who successfully defended the Superintendent’s independent authority last year.

“Attorney General Brad Schimel and his minions have embraced “post-truth politics.” They have concocted a fantasy that they are pedaling as true: that the decision in Coyne v Walker, which clearly held that the Governor could have no control over the Superintendent of Public Instruction’s rule making, means absolutely nothing. Deliberately ignoring a Supreme Court decision is unprecedented and dangerous."

“I will never stop fighting for our kids and I refuse to be intimidated by Walker's efforts to silence me.  The only way to put an end to this nonsense is to defeat Walker next November.” Evers concluded.

BoyCott Uline!

By Jeff Simpson

By now anyone paying attention knows about the Senate race in Alabama where Judge Roy Moore the Republican is running against the Democrat Doug Jones.

Roy Moore, is a former judge, who has been accused by multiple women, and numerous witnesses, of stalking and attacking young teens.

In other words pedophilia

Recently, a right wing Breitbardt protege, hired a woman to fake a story that she was also assaulted by Moore, to get the Washington post to run it and attempt to discredit the whole process of all of the real victims.

The fact that so many in the GOP will do anything they can to retain power by using any means necessary to protect and elect a known pedophile tells you all you need to know about the modern day Republican party.

Which brings us to the point of this post.   Roy Moore has a superPAC helping him get elected and cover up his charges called "Proven Conservatives PAC" and it is primarily funded by one guy.

This guy:

The chief donor to a super political action committee airing ads on behalf of embattled Alabama Republican U.S. Senate candidate Roy Moore is a familiar name in Illinois political circles: Richard Uihlein.
The Lake Forest businessman has given $100,000 to the pro-Moore Proven Conservatives PAC since September.
Moore, now 70, has been accused of sexually molesting or assaulting teens ages 14 and 16 — and trying to date several others — while he was in his 30s. Moore has denied the allegations of misconduct and said he never dated “underage” women.

How anyone who has a daughter can follow an ideology that supports pedophilia and predators of young women is beyond me.

The moral chasm that anyone who supports Moore, especially with this much money, has is brobdingagian.

Scott Walker's Nauseating Ensemble

By Jeff Simpson

“A man is known by the company he keeps”   ― Aesop

Scott Walker, the Governor of Wisconsin will once again be traveling during Wisconsin Taxpayer time to attend a far right conference where they will be addressing a bunch of students in Florida.

This event is a Tuesday-Friday(week day working days) and noticeably, Scott Walker is the only person attending who is an elected representative and actually has a job.

However, the group that Scott Walker will be sharing the stage with, are not people who you would invite over for Thanksgiving.

First off, the featured speaker is Donald Trump Jr.   Do people really pay him for his insight or for access?   Donald Trump Jr, is taking time away from his discussions with wiki leaks to address a group of impressionable minds.     I wonder if he clears his speech with Julian Assange?

But wait there is more!

Also sharing the stage with Scott Walker, is Eric O'Keefe's(only related by Satan) good friend - James O' Keefe.   The three of them, all teamed up a couple years ago,  to goad Mike Ellis, into a drunk silly rant that cost him his seat.

You will hear James O'Keefe's name in the news in the coming days because he just did something I did not think could be done.   He reached a new low.   One of the most despicable human beings in the world, was able to actually outdo himself in slime.

James O'Keefe is the head of Project Vermin Veritas, and their main mission is to catch Democrats and moderate Republicans, in even a remotely compromising position so they can ruin their career and hopefully their life.

In an effort to try and get the Pedophile Roy Moore, GOP candidate for the upcoming Senate special election, off the hook.   - Let's let that sink in for a second before we move on.

Project Veritas, sent a woman to talk to some Washington Post reporters with a completely false story about the pedophile Roy Moore.  While she was telling this fable, another member of PV was near filming her telling the story and the reaction of the reporters.
In a series of interviews over two weeks, the woman shared a dramatic story about an alleged sexual relationship with Moore in 1992 that led to an abortion when she was 15. During the interviews, she repeatedly pressed Post reporters to give their opinions on the effects that her claims could have on Moore’s candidacy if she went public.

For those scoring at home:  James O'Keefe came up with a plan to fake pedophilia to get a known pedophile off the hook and become a member of the US Senate.

But wait there is more!

Deadbeat Dad and known racist Republican Joe Walsh will also be there:

Joe Walsh @WalshFreedom
He calls Trump a "cheap cracker." On national TV.
Would a comedian still have a job if he called Obama a "nigger?" http://www.thedailybeast.com/snls-michael-che-calls-trump-a-cheap-cracker-over-puerto-rico-response

Along with White Supremacist, and Kevin Nicholson supporter, Steve Bannon

A quick aside, Steve Bannon had this to say about the mighty Paul Ryan:
limp-dick motherfucker who was born in a petri dish at the Heritage Foundation”.
That should make for some good conversation over Miller Lite and Papa Johns Pizza, in between speeches.

But wait there is more:

Dinesh D'Souza, who must be done with his court ordered confinement, to travel and speak.

Also appearing with Mr. Walker - Ben Shapiro.  I wonder if he will be making a second racist video calling out Native Americans as Cannibals and defending the pedophile Chris Columbus.

Then there is another videographer, serial predator Bill O'Reillys good friend, Jesse Watters who put out such brilliant work as this.

I am sure Scott Walker looks forward to hanging out, drinking with his racist, white supremacist buddies, putting on their best glory suit, their #MAGA caps, and grabbing a tiki torch and heading out on the town!

By the way, in case you are wondering who is sponsoring this crazy hate filled event?

Turning Point USA!

Who is Turning Point USA you ask?

This is Turning Point USA!

Shannon Zimmerman: Women Say One Thing But Mean Another

Meet Shannon Zimmerman.

Zimmerman is a Republican Wisconsin State Representative who is running in a special election for the state senate. He's also a businessman who owns a translation business.

While giving a speech at the University of Wisconsin - River Falls about three years ago when he put his foot into his mouth:
Toward the end of the 2013 lecture, an audience member asked Zimmerman what language is most difficult to translate.

Zimmerman, a founder of the translation services company Sajan, said all languages are challenging and then joked that sometimes his employees’ language can be tough to translate.

Then he said, “It’s woman, right? Sometimes she says this, but she means this.”

His comment drew initial laughter and a loud “Whoa!” from one audience member, video of his lecture shows. Zimmerman clapped his hands together and laughed.
I reckon his service could have translated that as Republicanese for "I'm a male chauvinistic pig!"

While the incident happened four years ago, it's alarming given the current events, where women are finding their voices and calling out the men who preyed on them sexually.

Zimmerman proceeded to make things worse for himself by trying to excuse his comments as humor:
Zimmerman on Monday said by text message said his remark was "a lighthearted attempt to address the communication barriers that exist, both in professional language translation and between the sexes." He said he was mainly directing his comment to his wife, Angel, a Sajan co-founder who attended the lecture.

"By responding in the manner I did, and as was the featured point in the best-seller, 'Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus', it helped the audience understand that the same thing being said, can mean different things," Zimmerman said in his text message.

"Anyone who knows me knows I have the highest regard and respect for woman," he added.
Not once did he take responsibility for his crude remarks.

Just to help the representative out, I would point out something that his father should have taught him long ago, just in case he needs it: When a woman says no, she means no!

But as I have repeatedly told the gentle reader, there's more. There's always more.

It also came out on Monday that Zimmerman had boasted about voting for the recently passed state budget:
“I am proud to have voted for the recently approved Wisconsin state budget, a budget that provides the largest increase in K-12 funding in state history and directs funds to training that will close our skills gap, all while keeping property taxes in check and our financial house in order, including a substantial increase to Wisconsin’s rainy day fund,” said Zimmerman.

Zimmerman is also a strong proponent of the agreement that will lead to FoxConn establishing a high-tech manufacturing presence in Wisconsin.
Why anyone would want to boast about voting for a state budget that is already in deficit, kills instead of creates jobs, weakens the already anemic environmental protection laws and leaves our public schools starving to death.

But here's the thing. He didn't vote for the budget. He didn't vote against it either.

The fact is he didn't vote on the bloody thing at all:
The 45-year-old businessman was stuck at the airport in Amsterdam, where he had gone on a business trip for Sajan Inc., his language translation business. Many flights had been grounded in Holland's capital that day because of poor weather conditions.

On the roll call for final passage of the budget in the Assembly, Zimmerman was recorded as the only state rep to be absent for the vote. The bill passed on a 57-39 vote.
In other words, he was too busy jaunting all over Europe for his personal business instead of being in the Capitol taking care of the people's business. Then he has the gall to lie about it!

Zimmerman shouldn't be too worried about whether these stories will hurt his chances in the election. With a resume like that, he's a shoo-in for the Trump administration.

Wisconsin News Round Up

By Jeff Simpson

The holiday weeks get a bit too crazy and I end up getting backed up.  Time to catch up on some stories under the radar.

1.  Christian Schneider, the hack Bradley "columnist" at USA today, has weighed in on the Judge Roy Moore for Senate campaign.   It did not disappoint as he weighed in exactly where I expected him too.
Vote for the pedophile to save the Republican tax cuts.

Moore's evident predilections for young girls have put Republicans around the nation in an untenable position. If Moore were to lose the seat to Democratic challenger Doug Jones, the GOP majority would slip to 51, making it tougher to keep promises like tax reform. But if Moore were to win, the Republican Party would be saddled with a likely pedophile within its ranks — typically a sub-optimal message for a party facing crucial midterm elections next year.

2.  As Donald Trump campaigned on this issue

If I am elected President I will immediately approve the Keystone XL pipeline. No impact on environment & lots of jobs for U.S.
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 18, 2015
Actually all of the GOP members of the Presidential contender clown car supported approving the Keystone XL pipeline.   Including this guy:

Scott Walker
“We need a president who will approve the Keystone pipeline on the very first day in office and then seek to level the playing field for all sources of energy,” he said during his campaign launch speech in July.

Our friends in South Dakota once again get to live the nightmare of Republican policy in action:

AMHERST, S.D. (AP) — TransCanada Corp.'s Keystone pipeline leaked an estimated 210,000 gallons of oil in northeastern South Dakota, the company and state regulators reported Thursday.
Now Scott Walker and WISGOP are going to open up mining in Wisconsin again.   What could possibly go wrong?

3.  After Aaron Rodgers got hurt, some fans called for them to sign Colin Kaepernick.   However, standard wisdom says, that the majority of Packer fans would not be happy if they did.  Too much respect for the flag here in Wisconsin - unless it inconveniences you:

The Green Bay Packers handed out small American Flags during the Packers-Lions Monday Night Game, as part of the NFL's Salute to Service Military Campaign.
"During the National Anthem, everybody was waving (their flags) and singing," Marine veteran Tegan Griffith told WTMJ.  "It made me feel very good."
However, by halftime, Griffith says she and her fellow veterans noticed many of the flags were discarded.
"We started noticing people leaving (flags) on the ground, next to food wrappers and beer cups," Griffith explained.  "We found a couple on the bathroom floor.  The veterans I was with started to get a little upset."
After the game, the flags were seen everywhere.

4.  Wisconsin is definitely working.  That is if you are part of the Scott Walker inner circle

MADISON - Gov. Scott Walker's administration helped give a contract worth at least $35,000 to a firm affiliated with Walker's campaign treasurer, state records show.
Not a single person in Wisconsin is surprised.

5.  Ever wonder what Brad Schimel does on his weekends?  Hint:  It sure isn't processing the incredible backlogs of rape kits in WI!

Madison – Last weekend, according to an agenda obtained by MapLightBrad Schimel appears to have attended an opulent retreat and fundraiser at Mar-a-Lago that the Republican Attorney’s General Association (RAGA) did its best to hide.
The weekend’s activities included: a dinner with $125,000-per-year donors to the RAGA, golf tournaments, catamaran tours and numerous fundraisers. Most alarmingly, on the agenda, was a panel dubiously titled “Rule of Law Restoration Update: 370 Days since the election of President Trump.”
Secrecy for the event was a top priority, as it was not made public and the agenda notes that “cell phone use and picture taking is prohibited in all areas.”
Again the people of Wisconsin are not surprised.

6.   In more unsurprising news, we get a glimpse of the incompetence of Wisconsin Republicans that led Wisconsin to be this much of a mess.

First term Assembly Rep. Shannon Zimmerman (R- River Falls) put out a press release telling everyone how proud he was to vote for Scott Walkers backwards budget.

The problem however is Mr. Zimmerman did not vote for (or against) the budget as he was shirking his duties as a taxpayer paid full time legislator and was actually in Amsterdam.

Zimmerman, with his ability to think he votes on bills when he was thousands of miles away, he is going to take his crackerjack job as a first time assembly rep and run for State Senate.

When called on it he channeled his inner Charlie Brown:
"I'm not trying to be deceptive at all, good grief," he concluded.

I guess when it comes to taking tough important votes Rep. Zimmerman is

Only in Wisconsin.

Lawrence W Smith -

By Jeff Simpson

Jerry Bader, who is currently writing for media trackkkers, has spent some of his time attacking a college girl for a tweet he did not like.

A UW-La Crosse student is out as Vice-Chair of the Wisconsin College Democrats after tweets, first reported in a story broken by Media Trackers Friday Morning. Talk show host Jerry Bader also reported on the tweets Friday morning. Talk show host Mark Belling and Campus Reform later reported on the tweets. The La Crosse Tribune reports that Sarah Semrad resigned Tuesday morning. Semrad tweeted Thursday that she “f***ing hates white men.” She also claimed to be tearing down pro-life posters on campus.
Why Jerry Bader is trolling college girls twitter is a question that should probably be asked by the authorities.

But wait there is more!

This tweet upset some of our good, sane friends on the right, who felt the need to reach out and offer their condolences to young Ms. Semrad:

While Mr. Ekern seems like a fine upstanding citizen, the people of Kenosha should be excited that he moved there from Norway.

The comment I want to focus on is the one by Captain Diplomacy, Lawrence W. Smith.  Mr. Smith calls young Ms. Semrad a "pathetic bitch" because, Jerry Bader showed him yet another way that liberals are attacking all that is good in the world (Ie...white men),  he does not like a tweet she wrote which was in fact an inside joke.

Mr. Smith will show her, for trying to have her own personal life.

But wait there is more,,,,if you have ever heard of Lawrence W Smith, you just might live in Winnebago County.  If you live in District 8, this guy is your County Supervisor.

Yikes, he fits right in to the fam, breaking the flag code and all!

But Wait!!!  There is more!!!

Mr. Smith even commented when called out on his hateful behavior:

Lawrence W. Smith Jeff Simpson What hate, I pointed out her ignorance you and the other leftest nobs need to learn the difference between outright disagreement with stupidity and hate speech. If you want to hear real hate speech go to any puplic collage gathering of leftist socialist/democrats and you will get an earful of HATE.

Yikes, this guy is really off the deep end.   Larry shows his disdain for not only women, but also anyone who might not vote Republican.

Mr  Smith is not a big fan of African Americans either as he lets us know in his facebook

Also for those in Winnebago County, if you see Mr. Smith's creepy van parked near you, I would highly recommend locking all of the doors and windows!

I swear truth is stranger than fiction!

I wonder if this is the van he sold to Roy Moore?

That all being said, if you have a child going through college and are not incredibly disgusted by this time in GOP history, you might want to rethink your priorities!

In the meantime, if you would like to get in touch with Mr. Smith and contacting him for a follow up:

Somebody Bring Me Some Water.....

By Jeff Simpson

While there are many many many things more important than this, this was too much fun to pass up.

Today The Donald gave a speech and suddenly got thirsty:

Where have I seen that before???

In a minor takeoff of the CogDis line:

There is a tweet...there is always a tweet:

Except this time there is also video.  Our Kindergarten President can not just be satisfied with making fun of someone he needs to totally humiliate other people.

In our future, people will look back on this time, and wonder why in the hell would anyone vote for The Donald?

Is Some Pedophilia OK?

By Jeff Simpson

Many Republicans are finally finding it safe to speak out against Alabama GOP Senate Candidate Crazy Roy Moore.

Scott Walker:

“But you look at things like that that come out at the last minute and you think, well of course that wasn’t true … So I don’t know if (the Moore story) is true, but if it is, obviously he should step aside,” he said.

Ron Johnson:

"If true, these allegations describe intolerable behavior and are disqualifying," Johnson said in a statement.

Paul Ryan:

“These allegations are disqualifying if true,” Ryan said in a statement released by his campaign. “Anyone who would do this to a child has no place in public office, let alone the United States Senate.”

Not a whole lot of individual thought going on there....but wait let's compare and contrast!

Remember this guy:

Or this guy:

Or this guy:

Or this guy!

Or even this guy:

Now let us revisit our "heroes"

Scott Walker:

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker made it unequivocally clear ahead of his speech to the Republican National Convention Wednesday that he is fully endorsing Donald Trump for president.
"Absolutely," Walker told Fox News' Greta Van Susteren when asked if he is endorsing Trump.

Ron Johnson:

Johnson said voters were looking for dramatic change and both he and Trump are on the right side of the biggest issues, like how to fight terrorism and the importance of nominating conservatives to the Supreme Court.

Paul Ryan:

Ryan’s column in his local newspaper left no doubt where he stood after speaking “at great length” with Trump since he initially declared hesitation about his candidacy.
“Through these conversations, I feel confident he would help us turn the ideas in this agenda into laws to help improve people’s lives. That’s why I’ll be voting for him this fall,” Ryan wrote.
The line is different for each candidate apparently.   That or our favorite Wisconsin politicians hold the Senate in higher esteem than the office of the Presidency.
To be fair though, the very weak worded criticisms of Roy Moore, came only after he started trailing in the polls.
it is much easier to make the decision to jump off a sinking ship!
The GOP slogan for 2018 has to be
Party before people!
