Who Won?

Due to the events with our neighbors, I missed the majority of Friday's debate, as we were rushing off to help them the best we could.

But from the little part that I did catch, I have some questions.

Of course, who won, and what basis do you answer the way you did?

Did McCain keep losing his temper? Early into the debate, it looked like McCain was ready to pop a vein, stroke out, or strike out.

And did Obama ever get around to blasting McCain for the continuous lying he was doing, at least at the beginning of it?

  1. I think McCain won the debate when it comes to controlling the tempo of the debate, but Obama won the battle to appear more presidential.

  2. Oh, and I forgot to say that considering foreign policy was supposed to be McCain's strongest suit, I expected him to have a much stronger showing than he did. Obama more than held his own and proved he's knowledgeable and more than competent when it comes to foreign policy.

  3. Zach, you must be kidding about the "O...held his own and proved..." stuff.

He DID prove that he is naive. If he were smart, he'd recall all his lessons from Daley Machine Politics and apply them to foreign leaders--

    But he didn't.

  4. Yeah, daddio, and from what the polls are saying, McCain and all his lobbyists won't be able to put his campaign back together again.
