Workers Memorial Day

In an age where workers are disrespected and mistreated like nothing we've seen in over a hundred years, it is even more important to remember those that have fallen in the line of duty in building and maintaining our country's infrastructure and society.

In 2015, 4,836 people died on the job and more than 50,000 people died from occupational diseases.  Yet the Republicans want to turn the clock even further back and increase those numbers, all for the sake of making another buck.

As Mother Jones said, "Mourn the dead, fight like hell for the living."

More information is provided by the AFL-CIO.
