Lyin' Paul Ryan has made it abundantly clear that there isn't anything Trump could do that would make him take a stand against him. The latest example is the fact that Ryan has said that he would not consider impeaching Trump for obstructing justice. To dig himself even deeper into the hole, Ryan tried to rationalize his indefensible stands by lying, of course, claiming they wouldn't impeach a Democratic president for doing the same thing. Never mind that they did try to oust Bill Clinton for lying about a blow job and countless hours investigation Hillary Clinton over nothing.
That was too much for former Representative Bob Ingils (R-S.C.) who called Ryan out on his lies and for putting ideology and party before the country:
Former GOP Rep. Bob Inglis (S.C.) says that Speaker Paul Ryan’s (R-Wis.) claim that Republicans wouldn't be examining impeachment proceedings against a Democratic commander in chief accused of the same things as President Trump “isn’t true.”
A few Democrats — though none in leadership — have said Trump should be impeached over his handling of Russian meddling in the 2016 election, but have met with Republican opposition to such a course of action. Ryan has said his caucus still wouldn't be pursuing impeachment the situation were reversed.
“You know this isn’t true,” Inglis tweeted at Ryan alongside The Hill’s article about Ryan’s remarks. “You know they would be inquiring into impeachment if this were a D.”
.@SpeakerRyan you know this isn't true. You know that you would be inquiring into impeachment if this were a D. https://t.co/mBFn4aCGi4— Bob Inglis (@bobinglis) June 9, 2017
.@SpeakerRyan, no, it isn't time to draft Articles of Impeachment. But it is time to pursue the Russia investigation with vigor.— Bob Inglis (@bobinglis) June 9, 2017
Of course Ryan doesn't want to get rid of Trump. Trump is a useful patsy for Ryan. As Ryan gets as close as he's ever been to achieving his lifelong goals of gutting Medicare and Social Security, extreme poor shaming and even more massive tax cuts for the rich, he needs Trump to sign off on them and then take the fall for them..@SpeakerRyan and if the investigation leads to the Pres., his family or his campaign, so be it. Don't obstruct justice. Put country first.— Bob Inglis (@bobinglis) June 9, 2017
But all is not lost. If we can put the pressure on Ryan with the upcoming elections, we may stave him long enough to be able to repeal and replace Ryan. And the person who can do that is Randy Bryce, but he needs to hear from all of us to encourage him to take on the task of defeating Ryan and doing the heavy lifting of working to start repairing and rebuilding this country. (Who better to get for rebuilding a nation than one that knows how to build great things, like an Ironworker?) Please show your support to draft Randy Bryce by going to the Facebook page or letting him know via Twitter at @IronStache.
Make GOP Congressmen unemployed again.
