Who Was The Bigger Grinch?
![]() |
Trump Grinch courtesy of Jamie Holly |
The other day, the Rancid Kumquat had a Grinch moment when he was questioned about his ill-advised tariffs and how it might affect Christmas. In response, Kumquat launched the earliest attack in the War on Christmas:
He was taking questions at the end of one of his marathon cabinet meetings when he finally allowed that, yes, his tariff policies and the trade war he has set off with China may soon result in some emptier-than-usual shelves in stores. Specifically, toy stores.
“You know, somebody said, ‘Oh, the shelves are going to be open,’” Mr. Trump said. “Well, maybe the children will have two dolls instead of 30 dolls, you know? And maybe the two dolls will cost a couple of bucks more than they would normally.”
It should be noted that Dementia Don wasn't the first Grinch we've seen, nor even the biggest Grinch. We must not forget when, in 2013, Scott Walker sent out his infamous Black Friday fundraising email telling parents to give him their money instead of 'wasting" it on their kids Christmas presents:
Instead of venturing into the cold this Black Friday, stay in and give your children a gift that will keep on giving.
This year, we are celebrating the Holiday Season with a Black Friday special that is better than any deal found in stores. Donate $5, $10 or $25 to help Governor Walker get reelected and save your children from a future of double-digit tax increases and billion dollar budget deficits.
Instead of electronics or toys that will undoubtedly be outdated, broken, or lost by the next Holiday Season, help give your children the gift of a Wisconsin that we can all be proud of. Governor Walker is helping Wisconsin move forward to a future where your children and grandchildren can experience...
Both incidents are egregious and calloused. However, I have to give the Grinch costume to Walker since his attack was more direct and was all about benefitting himself whereas Grandpa Grabby was just cold indifference.

Why Isn't Marco Rubio In Moscow?
CBS News and other news organizations are reporting:
Steve Witkoff, President Trump's special envoy for Russia and Ukraine, has arrived in Moscow to discuss a proposed 30-day ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine.
Given that this is a high profile negotiation and one that Pres. Trump assured us wouldn't take but 24 hours to resolve, why isn't Secretary of State Marco Rubio in Moscow as the head of our negotiating team?
After all, he was the lead diplomat in Saudi Arabia when meeting with the Ukrainians last week. So he of course has first hand knowledge of the agreements and discussions and to my mind would have more cachet with the Russians than Mr. Witkoff.
And, since the Saudis were the actual parties mediating the negotiations between the Ukraine and the United States, why aren't they in a similar role here? It might not be that bad an idea to have a third party nation involved given the rumors around Trump's affection/admiration for Putin.

The Perfect Question For Every Trump News Conference or Oval Office 'diatribe'.
This little ditty was of course stolen from the internet but not on X or that other one where Donold holds sway.
and of course it is a line that I heard innumerable times as a youngster from any number of adults or on TV shows.
But given the current political climate and the lies and side steps and misdirections coming out of the mouths of the GOP and DOGE minions, it seems the perfect follow on question for every occasion:
WHAT DOES THAT HAVE TO DO WITH THE PRICE OF EGGS?

How Can Mexico and Canada Quietly But Effectively Get Back At The Trump Tariffs?
Back in 2016, Donold Trump ran on opposition to NAFTA (his quote: “worst trade deal ever made”) and how America and Americans were getting screwed. And he coerced Mexico and Canada into negotiating a new agreement...the high point of his administration if you listened to Trump at the time: the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement.
And Trump wants to renegotiate it to make it even better for American business. But in the meantime, he has already violated it with his unilateral impositions of 25% tariffs on both of our neighbors.
So my note to Canada and Mexico. Make a big deal of kicking the US out of the deal...it's broken anyway...but stick pins in Donold's massive ego in the meantime.

While Elon Musk Is Rummaging Around In The IRS Sub-basement, Maybe He Could?
publish Donold Trump's tax filings from 2016 through 2024. Trump promised to publish them on many occasions but with his challenging PGA schedule, he obviously hasn't gotten around to it.
Inquiring minds do want to know.

From The You Can't Make This Stuff UP Department: Visions of Trump Gaza or Riviera Gaza.
You may have seen these photos elsewhere because they have gone viral and since I haven't been vaccinated against Trump Gaza, I guess I caught this virus too.
But these photos were posted by Donold Trump's Truth Social account as part of a video and are being described as his vision for the future of Gaza under American control and Trump dementia. But they look rather odd and boy or boy, AI might be having some fun with Donold!
Do these belly dancers currently perform at Mar a Lago? |
Nothing like a cool drink with your bestie! |
Doesn't anyone in Trumpland ever look at this stuff before they push it out there? Looks kinda 'woke' to me! LOL!!!
And in case you were wondering why Elon and Donold are worrying about how much gold is in Fort Knox...this might be a hint:

The Recount Is Done, Now The Frivolous Lawsuits Fly
: Besides the Trump campaign, Trump allies have also filed lawsuits challenging the election result. One filed last Tuesday by the conservative Wisconsin Voters Alliance asked the Wisconsin Supreme Court to toss out the results of the presidential election and replace the will of the voters with electors appointed by the state’s Republican-controlled Legislature.Another lawsuit filed by a Chippewa County resident called on the Wisconsin Supreme Court to stop certification of the presidential election based on an argument that ballot boxes used to collect absentee ballots are illegal.

Ethics Experts: Ron Johnson Has None
As reported last week, Ron Johnson, Wisconsin's Dumb (and corrupt) Senator, dismissed Trump's Ukraine scandal because RoJo said that Trump denied it and, gosh darn it, that was good enough for RoJo!
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel followed up on this by asking various ethics experts on how RoJo handled this whole sordid affair. The experts all said what we already know, RoJo really dropped the ball on the whole thing. Furthermore, because of the way RoJo handled this mess, he should recuse himself form voting, if the impeachment should reach the Senate for trial. Since the paper has it behind a paywall, here are some of the excerpts:
Four ethics experts say Johnson — a member of a branch of government that exists, in part, to provide a check on the president — should have also alerted other senators, explored holding an oversight hearing or even told federal investigators.I think the gentle reader gets the idea.
One expert says he didn't see anything improper about Johnson's actions but all five contend Johnson should not have taken Trump at his word when he assured Johnson the allegation was false.
"Yes, clearly this should have been reported to the FBI," University of Wisconsin-Madison political science professor David Canon said. "What did he expect the president to say? 'Ah, you are right, sorry. I shouldn’t have done that.'"
[...]
And his role in the matter may mean he should refrain from voting if Trump's removal from office comes before the Senate, two experts said. Johnson plays a central part in what happened because he asked Trump in August whether the aid and investigation were linked.
“You don't have somebody be a witness in a trial and then serve on the jury,” said Hui Chen, an attorney who has worked on compliance issues for the U.S. Department of Justice, Microsoft and Pfizer.
[...]
"I think it was a deep mistake for Senator Johnson to take the president at his word and not instead pursue other channels, including alerting his colleagues for congressional oversight purposes," said Ryan Goodman, a professor at New York University School of Law who served as special counsel to the U.S. Department of Defense under President Barack Obama.
“I think his missteps here have implicated himself, because he's become a fact witness in the case,” Goodman said of Johnson. “And I think as such the appropriate thing for him to do may be to recuse himself from the Senate trial.”
What hasn't been reported anywhere else is the fact that RoJo does have a history of covering up crimes committed by fellow Republicans.
In 2011, then Wisconsin State Representative Bill Kramer sexually assaulted a woman who was an aide to RoJo at the time. The woman went to RoJo and his Chief of Staff, Tony Blando, and told them of the assault. Neither man told the police or any Republican Party officials about the reported assault. The woman eventually came forward and told police of the assault.
Even then, RoJo tried to play stupid, if he was indeed playing, denied any knowledge of the incident. He also denied that the woman had told him about it. It was only after the woman reported to the police that she had indeed informed them about it that RoJo's memory started to come back to him.
It's high time and then some that RoJo is also put under investigation for his own ethics violations.

Ron Johnson Permanently Attaches His Lips To Trump's Arse
Just a couple of days ago, Ron Johnson (R-Trump's Arse) tried to minimize Trump's attempt to use his office for political gain and extort Ukraine into investigating the Bidens.
Not that Trump has given up all pretense of trying to even pretend being innocent, asking China to also investigate his political opponents while ON CAMERA., RoJo simply shrugged and embraced Trump's criminality in a full body hug and permanently affixes his lips to Trump's arse (emphasis mine):
"I don't think there's anything improper about it," Johnson said. "We have proper agreements with countries to investigate potential crimes. I don't know what may or may not have happened with China and the Bidens, but I think an awful lot of those investigations can actually occur here in America."RoJo not only condoned Trump's illegal and unethical behavior but spelled it out for even the most idiotic of the Republicans.
Despite Trump's rhetoric, there is no evidence of any wrongdoing by Biden or his son in either China or Ukraine.
[...]
In Middleton, Johnson said there are a number of unanswered questions regarding Hunter Biden's business dealings in China, and that the American public, Democratic primary voters and Trump have a right to know about it.
"If there’s some scandal sitting outside there, whether it’s in Ukraine, between Vice President Biden’s son or in China, I would think they’d want to know that before they start casting their ballots in the Democratic primary," Johnson said.
Then again, given RoJo's own past, he has no problem with someone using the power of their office for political or personal gain.
But as the gentle reader is probably expecting by now, there's more. There's always more. RoJo wasn't done showing what a moron and liar he really is:
After playing dumb on a letter he cosigned in 2016 urging Ukraine's leaders to clean up the corruption in their government, RoJo actually said this:
"I don't engage in hypocrisy," Johnson said. "I'm looking at getting the truth, I'm trying to be supportive of eastern European countries."The hypocrisy and self-contradiction just speaks for itself.

Duffy Has Meltdown Trying To Defend Trump's Racism
On Tuesday, leading up to the final vote on the resolution saying what we've known all along, that Trump is a racist bastard, former reality TV star Sean Duffy, from Wisconsin, took the floor to defend Trump and deny that he is really a racist. In a matter of a minute or two, Duffy escalated quickly into a full meltdown and ending up calling "The Squad" as being anti-American:
Duffy defended Trump on the floor, saying the president’s remarks could not be racist because they did not cite anyone’s race.Duffy got so far out of hand that Representative Pramillya Jayapal (D-Washington) had to ask that Duffy's comments be stricken from the record because they were "defamatory."
Duffy then went on to accuse the four Democrats criticized by Trump of being anti-American.
“I see nothing (in Trump’s tweets) that references anybody’s race. Not a thing! I don’t see anyone’s name referenced in the tweets,” Duffy said.
“But the president is referring to people, congresswomen, who are anti-American! And lo and behold, everybody in this chamber knows who he’s talking about,” Duffy said.
However, on Wednesday, Duffy became a profile in courage by saying that his comments were "misinterpreted" and threw Trump under the bus:
Duffy said in the interview Wednesday that when he said, “the president’s referring to people, congresswomen, who are anti-American,” he was referring to Trump’s characterization of those House members as anti-American, not making the charge himself.Duffy should really know better, being a former reality TV star and all. The minute he goes off script, he really makes a fool of himself.
Duffy said he was making an argument that if Trump accused unnamed Democrats of being anti-American, and it was widely assumed by Democrats and by journalists that Trump was referring to these four lawmakers, then for Democrats and the media, “they are the four that must match the definition.”
Asked in the interview Wednesday if he thinks those four congresswomen are anti-American, Duffy said, “I think those four have made anti-American comments. I’ve never called them anti-American.”
[...]
Asked in the interview Wednesday if he thinks Trump’s tweets went too far, Duffy said, “I wouldn’t use the president’s language or the president’s tone. I’ve always said that. But did I think he’s making a point that you have some people who don’t like this country and make anti-American comments? I don’t think he went too far (in that regard)."

Lyin' Ryan And Trump Rekindle Their Love/Hate Relationship
Tim Alberta is about to release a new book titled 'American Carnage.' This book takes a look at the tenuous relationships Republicans have with Donald Trump and how they all eventually willingly caved in to him, knowing how bad things were going to get.
Part of the book gives the opportunity to Lyin' Paul Ryan to have his say about Trump and why he decided to retire as he did:
Perhaps no one has had a more tortured relationship with the president than former House speaker Paul D. Ryan (R-Wis.) — who went from wanting to abandon Trump after the release of the “Access Hollywood” tape to working to enact his agenda after the election all while doing his best to avoid commenting on his tweets and controversial statements.True to his nature, Ryan is lying his ass off.
Alberta reports that Trump berated Ryan over a 2018 spending bill because it didn’t include funding for his border wall but then said he would sign it if Ryan were to give him time to build suspense on Twitter. Ryan agreed and then publicly sang the president’s praises after the meeting.
[...]
Now out of office and trading in his power suits for a blue vest, Ryan is back to critiquing Trump in unflattering terms in conversations with Alberta, who writes the former speaker could not stand the idea of another two years with the president and saw retirement as an “escape hatch,” in Alberta’s words.
“We’ve gotten so numbed by it all,” Ryan says. “Not in government, but where we live our lives, we have a responsibility to try and rebuild. Don’t call a woman a ‘horse face.’ Don’t cheat on your wife. Don’t cheat on anything. Be a good person. Set a good example.”
Ryan depicts Trump as uneducated about the government.
“I told myself I gotta have a relationship with this guy to help him get his mind right,” Ryan recalls. “Because, I’m telling you, he didn’t know anything about government . . . I wanted to scold him all the time.”
Ryan says he sees the presidency getting worse, with Trump determined to govern and campaign on his terms, rejecting calls from other Republicans to moderate his message in 2020.
“Those of us around him really helped to stop him from making bad decisions. All the time,” Ryan says. “We helped him make much better decisions, which were contrary to kind of what his knee-jerk reaction was. Now I think he’s making some of these knee-jerk reactions.”
In Alberta’s telling, Trump calls Ryan a “f---ing Boy Scout.”
Ryan wasn't looking for an escape hatch. He went along willingly with Trump's agenda since it so closely matched his own, including things like the GOP tax scam; killing Social Security and Medicare; suppressing voters' rights; and a general dislike of brown and black skinned people. The only difference between Trump and Ryan is that Trump would say out loud what both of them were thinking.
No, Ryan didn't want to escape Trump. The real reason Ryan up and quit was because he was afraid of losing to Randy "Ironstache" Bryce. And even if he would manage to squeak out a victory, he saw the writing on the wall and knew he would lose his position as Speaker of the House.
As we all knew would happen, the deranged orangutan had a twitter meltdown over someone saying something less than praising him:
Paul Ryan, the failed V.P. candidate & former Speaker of the House, whose record of achievement was atrocious (except during my first two years as President), ultimately became a long running lame duck failure, leaving his Party in the lurch both as a fundraiser & leader......— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 12, 2019
....When Mitt chose Paul I told people that’s the end of that Presidential run. He quit Congress because he didn’t know how to Win. They gave me standing O’s in the Great State of Wisconsin, & booed him off the stage. He promised me the Wall, & failed (happening anyway!)......— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 12, 2019
....He had the Majority & blew it away with his poor leadership and bad timing. Never knew how to go after the Dems like they go after us. Couldn’t get him out of Congress fast enough!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 12, 2019
I seriously doubt that anyone would be surprised by this. Just like they wouldn't be surprised by the fact that Trump is also a pathological liar. As they say, there's a tweet for that:
Speaker Paul Ryan is a truly good man, and while he will not be seeking re-election, he will leave a legacy of achievement that nobody can question. We are with you Paul!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) April 11, 2018
I don't think any fallout between Ryan and Trump is due to any philosophical, ethical or any other type of difference. No, any tiff between these two would be the result of too many similarities and seeing themselves in each other.
But if Ryan felt that strongly about disliking Trump, he really ought to consider challenging him in a primary. Now wouldn't that be fun to watch?

Wisconsin Loses Again
A Wisconsin 2020 election preview just played out in the spring election season here and it is not a good thing for the people of Wisconsin.
In almost a slam dunk race, the Democrats grabbed defeat from the jaws of victory in one of the most important (and winnable) State Supreme Court Elections there has been. Far right extremist, and Scott Walker crony, barely defeated Judge Lisa Neubauer.
Hagedorn, became famous for his 1820's anti gay views, so much so, that many traditional funders/bosses of the Republican party, distanced themselves from him. The WISGOP however felt that his hatred of anyone gay was a feather in his hat and took over the funding and the campaign.
As Steve Elbow from the CapTimes puts it:
Polling by a group backing Hagedorn showed him trailing badly as he headed into the final week of the campaign.Yes Hagedorn was behind the last week, rightly so, and ended up winning. Now we have a far right, Hyper partisan, Supreme Court for a few more years at least.
Yet on Election Day, he edged out Neubauer by nearly 6,000 votes, thanks, some say, to a $1.3 million effort by Republican operatives in the closing days of the campaign.
The initiative by the Republican State Leadership Committee targeted conservative voters who didn’t vote in the spring election last year when liberal candidate Rebecca Dallet won a spot on the Supreme Court. The group estimated that it mobilized 160,000 voters with a multi-media campaign that painted Neubauer as a radical liberal, linked attacks on Hagedorn with last fall’s contentious U.S. Supreme Court confirmation hearing and tapped into support for President Donald Trump.
Where did we go wrong? There are many reasons, let's check out a few.
We already pointed out, that Neubauer, paid almost a million dollars in consulting fees.
While we can blame the WISDEMS, and they definitely should shoulder their fair share of the blame but as always, they had help. As s typical the candidates hired consulting groups: Nation Consulting,Scott Spector Strategies(Moonlighting from Tammy Baldwin's office). G Strategies, Spiros Consulting, AL Media and 50+1.Then there is the case of her campaign manager being not ready for Prime time:
This is all to the tune of $893,656.60 in the last filing period alone.
Almost a million dollars in Consulting fees, to end up losing to a homophobic bigot that his own biggest donors would not touch.
Asked if Neubauer intentionally placed a firewall between herself and the party, campaign manager Tyler Hendricks said: “Yes.”One of the dumbest statements you will ever read. Of course Hagedorn is not impartial. Anyone who paid even remote attention, knows that the candidates who the Republican party runs, are chosen because they are not the least bit impartial. They know exactly how they will vote and rule n 99% of their cases which is why they were chosen. To pretend otherwise is naive.
“We ran a fair, impartial and independent campaign,” he said in a response through the Neubauer campaign’s Facebook page. “Over $100k changed hands between our opponent and the WisGOP in the final days of the campaign, raising serious questions as to his claims of impartiality.”
Neubauer, wanted to distance herself from the Democratic Party. Yet what voters want is authenticity. Neubauers resume made it impossible to distance herself.
There’s no question that Neubauer is a Democrat. She and her husband, Jeffrey, a former state Democratic Party chair, have shelled out more than $100,000 for liberal causes and candidates over the years. She was appointed by a Democratic governor. Her daughter, Greta, is a Democratic state legislator and her husband is a former one. She’s worked for Democrats and she’s campaigned for them.Of course the "Liberal" groups did not listen, they stayed in and helped tip the scales.
Yet in her recent bid for the Supreme Court, she sought to brush those Democratic ties under the rug. And she urged liberal outside groups supporting her to stay out.
Zepecki conceded it was a game well-played.
“They’ve got a story to tell because they took a flyer on this race and it worked,” Zepecki said. “They didn’t spend $1 million-plus knowing that they were going to be able to turn out 160,000 conservative voters. But they thought it was worth trying. Sometimes the narrow path to victory pans out. That’s what happened here.”
He said the multi-media approach kept the campaign under the radar. No one knows, he said, what lands in people’s mailboxes or what texts they get on their phones. When the television ad appeared, it was too late to do anything about it.
“We all sort of missed it,” he said. “Most folks were looking at the TV spend and the disproportionate levels of spending there going, ‘Oh this thing’s probably over in the other direction.’ And it turned out there was a whole other campaign happening.”
A million plus dollars on consultants paid for by the campaign, and who knows how many hundreds of thousands of dollars paid to consultants outside of the campaign and "We all sorta missed it".
Good work if you can get it. Being paid thousands upon thousands of dollars to get your ass kicked and then come back the next election to charge as much and lose again.
Lather, rinse, repeat.
As long as we continue our downward spiral in continually hiring the same consultants to do the same work, we will continue to be the state that used to be Progressive.
If by some chance, we decide to cleanse our politics of political lifers, whose main goal is to cash a check, then we can get back to the people powered, grass roots efforts that made us a blue state for years.
I, for one, am not optimistic.
One last thing, the devil is always in the details. Everyone knows that the DNC Convention will be coming to Milwaukee in 2020, but everyone might not know that the Registered agent of the Milwaukee 2020 committee is Thad Nation of Nation Consulting.
Something to keep in mind when you decide if you want to volunteer to do the hard jobs there, while Nation Consulting fills their coffers.

Brian "Hagar" Hagedorn - 1000 AD Hero
We wrote recently how Wisconsin Law and Liberty (WILL) was nothing more than a well financed WISGOP Apology/Propaganda machine. Rick Esenberg is at it again, this time he is standing alone on an island. As so many typical right wing supporters are surprisingly jumping ship, Esenberg alone stands with Hagedorn. When you make the money Rick makes to be an apologist, there is no lengths you will not go to protect that gravy train. However, Esenberg while making a jumbled law argument, tipped his hand elsewhere, and probably did not even realize it(emphasis mine).
And this is just as wrong as the idea that Hagedorn is somehow beyond the pale because he holds traditional Judeo-Christian beliefs about marriage.
Let's take a look:
Christian marriage
Christians believe that marriage is a gift from God, one that should not be taken for granted. It is the right atmosphere to engage in sexual relations and to build a family life. Getting married in a church, in front of God, is very important.
A marriage is a public declaration of love and commitment. This declaration is made in front of friends and family in a church ceremony.
That is simple, most people are happy when friends/family get married in a church in front of family and friends. Most people, not named Robin Vos or Donald Trump would agree with that. It is the oldest trick in the book though by taking a sliver of his view and pretending that is relevant to all of his views.
As we dig deeper, we realize that he holds views that would make Jerry Falwell Jr. say damm.
Esenberg forgets to point out that Hagedorn also believes:
* "The idea that homosexual behavior is different than bestiality as a constitutional matter is unjustifiable," he wrote in October 2005.
* "There is no right in our Constitution to have sex with whoever or whatever you want in the privacy of your own home (or barn)," he wrote.
* In one titled "Another reason why I hate Planned Parenthood," Hagedorn called it a "wicked organization" that was more devoted "to killing babies than to helping women." He said his litmus test for voting in an election was a candidate's position on abortion.
Hagedorn said he had committed himself to praying and lobbying to stop abortion. He went on to say his convictions on this issue and others were given to him by God.
"The Lord has laid three fundamental passions on my heart: 1) Protecting the dignity and sanctity of human life, 2) Defending and preserving the institution of marriage, and 3) Promoting racial reconciliation in the church and culture," he wrote in November 2005.
* But he also said in his blog that the NAACP, the national civil rights group, was a "partisan hack" and a "disgrace to America" that should be repudiated by all who want racial reconciliation in the nation.
* He called the Supreme Court's ruling in Roe v. Wade "the worst and most unjustifiable decision in history."
"We are now 45 million Americans short. That's right, 45,000,000 human beings," he wrote in January 2006, estimating the number of abortions that had taken place since the Supreme Court ruling legalizing the practice. "For me, I highly resolve again today that these lives shall not have died in vain."
* “Here’s the bottom line: Mormon theology is blatant heresy,” Hagedorn wrote in the post WisPolitics.com found using an internet archive. “Mormons are polytheists who believe we can become gods and who believe that both Jesus and Satan are sons of God the Father.”
These views are no where near the mainstream and it is why supporters are running off in droves, from the Wisconsin Realtors Association(who wants their money back) and the US Chamber of Commerce, do not want to touch this race or be associated with Hagedorn in the least.
As Joel McNally writes, there is positives that come from such hateful rhetoric:
That move proved to be too much even for a majority of Republicans. That’s another positive political sign, along with the growing reluctance of Republican funders to finance openly bigoted candidates.
Now it is up to the people of Wisconsin to reject openly bigoted candidates in the Spring elections.
Vote NO for hate and 15th Century beliefs and YES for Judge Lisa Neubauer!
Here at Cogdis, we were able to find an old college picture of Brian Hagedorn in college where he cemented his beliefs!

Cold Day Catch Up
Time to catch up on some fun reading.....
1. You can tell things are boring in Bright Red Oklahoma, because they get to debate on their legislative floor, how much God loves rape and incest.
“Is rape the will of God?” asked Rep. Cory Williams.
Mr Faught replied: “If you read the Bible, there’s actually a couple circumstances where that happened and the Lord uses all circumstances.
“I mean, you can go down that path, but it’s a reality, unfortunately.”
2. $93,000,000 was spent on the 2018 Gubernatorial race from start to finish. The WISGOP spent $58/93 Million, WisDems spent 32/93(17 candidates) and Third party candidates spent $32,550.
While the massive amount of spending by Walker, underscores how immensely unpopular he truly is, the bigger question is, when will we stop allowing this. While many people are giving their money to make sure kids eat or that the thousands of homeless get meals, the rich amongst us are spending millions buying and trying to buy elections. Which means the rich set policy and the rest of us keep working to help our neighbors. It is a never ending cycle that we need to break.
3. In Pennsylvania, GOP Rep. Brian Ellis, is being investigated for his own version of constituent services.
According to the report, Ellis and the woman were at the same bar when she fell down, hard, suffering injuries.
“We want to make it very clear that she was not voluntarily intoxicated. This woman was incapacitated,” the state’s Victim Advocate said on her behalf. “She does believe that she was drugged and that she did seek medical attention the following day because she was in pain and she did indeed have a concussion and other injuries.”
Ellis reportedly knew the woman as a “workplace acquaintance at the Capitol” and “offered to help her get home” but the woman says he instead took her to his residence and raped her.
4. If you are not reading Jake's Wisconsin Funhouse, you should be. Here he asks the question not a single reporter in Wisconsin asked while listening to the WISGOP strain their arms patting themselves on the back - When does our State's prosperity start?
"Our prosperity to continue?" Doesn't something need to start for it to "continue"? The US Bureau of Labor Statistics, released their final report for 2018 on average hourly wages in all 50 states this week. And Wisconsin ended up 43rd in the US for wage growth last year, badly trailing most of its Midwestern neighbors.
5. One of The Donalds staffers, who had unlimited access to the Donald, wrote a book. While the book depicts a White House that is out of control(to the surprise of no one) what else this book shows, is how ineffective and disrespected The Donald was towards Paul Ryan.
At times, Trump evinced less rage than a lack of interest. Sims recounts one time when Ryan was in the Oval Office explaining the ins and outs of the Republican health-care bill to the president. As Ryan droned on for 15 minutes, Trump sipped on a glass of Diet Coke, peered out at the Rose Garden, stared aimlessly at the walls and, finally, walked out.
Ryan kept talking as the president wandered down the hall to his private dining room, where he flicked on his giant flat-screen TV. Apparently, he had had enough of Ryan’s talk. It fell to Vice President Pence to retrieve Trump and convince him to return to the Oval Office so they could continue their strategy session.
6. Maria Butina, Scott Walkers good friend, who he learned Russian to impress, pleaded guilty to conspiracy.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Accused Russian agent Maria Butina pleaded guilty in federal court today to one conspiracy charge, and has agreed to cooperate with the investigation.
Butina, appearing in court in a green jumpsuit, admitted to one count of conspiracy. As part of the plea agreement with the government, prosecutors dropped the other count in the indictment originally brought against her, and agreed not to prosecute her for any other crimes they were made aware of during their plea discussions.
7. 26 ways Scott Walker ruined(or embarrassed) Wisconsin. My favorite:
15. Claimed his bald spot resulted from hitting his head on a sink
Doctors had a laugh with this one.
Bonus read: crusty old backbencher GOP Rep. Ed Brooks of Reedsburg, finally did something in his career. Show us he is a racist.

We Really Do Need Education
In 1979 Pink Floyd, unknowingly wrote the Republican mantra that unfortunately seems timeless:
The course, taught by UW Professor Ken Mayer, had the bad fortune of having former Miss Wisconsin Mckenna Collins taking the class.
Collins, was so outraged by the syllabus that she took her grievances straight to
What was on the syllabus? Ms. Collins, posted it on her Facebook(since removed) :

“[Mayer] makes every effort to instill in college students an illegitimate distrust and hate for the President of the United States before the course has even started,” Collins said in her Facebook post regarding the syllabus. The problem is even the UW College Republicans said she was crazy:
Collins also explained the syllabus made her feel intimidated, stating her belief that Mayer “made a mistake” when crafting the syllabus. She found his language to be “biased, unprofessional and anti-academic.”
Many of our executive board members have taken classes taught by Professor Mayer, and have found him to be an intellectually engaging professor that treats conservatives fairly. In the past, Professor Mayer has openly criticized how the University of Wisconsin – Madison handled President Obama’s visit to campus due to its political nature and ties to the Obama campaign.Obviously no one on the UW College Republican Board, has visions of joining The Kleefishs Go Hunting or The Real World.
Now Ms. Collins replaced the complaint with her victory picture:
That in no way whatsoever, even comes close to equating to a right wing privileged student being upset because her feelings were hurt when someone criticized the admitted Pussy Grabber.
That is the true meaning of shame and shows how she is not here to be a serious academic student. Maybe her next tour of "Table Talk" should be focused on learning some actual history!
Its January in Wisconsin which means that a GOP state official is attacking a professor for his syllabus. 1/https://t.co/H3kKq5dHR7— Don Moynihan (@donmoyn) January 24, 2019

American Mediocrity
While we as a Nation have had some dark times, one of the shining times in our nation is when President Kennedy challenged our Country in 1961.
We have had our failures, but so have others, even if they do not admit them. And they may be less public.
To be sure, we are behind, and will be behind for some time in manned flight. But we do not intend to stay behind, and in this decade, we shall make up and move ahead.
The growth of our science and education will be enriched by new knowledge of our universe and environment, by new techniques of learning and mapping and observation, by new tools and computers for industry, medicine, the home as well as the school. Technical institutions, such as Rice, will reap the harvest of these gains.
And finally, the space effort itself, while still in its infancy, has already created a great number of new companies, and tens of thousands of new jobs. Space and related industries are generating new demands in investment and skilled personnel, and this city and this State, and this region, will share greatly in this growth. What was once the furthest outpost on the old frontier of the West will be the furthest outpost on the new frontier of science and space. Houston, your City of Houston, with its Manned Spacecraft Center, will become the heart of a large scientific and engineering community. During the next 5 years the National Aeronautics and Space Administration expects to double the number of scientists and engineers in this area, to increase its outlays for salaries and expenses to $60 million a year; to invest some $200 million in plant and laboratory facilities; and to direct or contract for new space efforts over $1 billion from this Center in this City.
To be sure, all this costs us all a good deal of money. This year¹s space budget is three times what it was in January 1961, and it is greater than the space budget of the previous eight years combined. That budget now stands at $5,400 million a year--a staggering sum, though somewhat less than we pay for cigarettes and cigars every year. Space expenditures will soon rise some more, from 40 cents per person per week to more than 50 cents a week for every man, woman and child in the United Stated, for we have given this program a high national priority--even though I realize that this is in some measure an act of faith and vision, for we do not now know what benefits await us.
President Kennedy, pulled the Nation together for a greater vision and a goal that everyone bought into. This led to many technological advancements and much progress as a nation, and true national pride and acceptance.
Fast Forward the clock 56 some years later and our President makes this speech:
The Donald does not necessarily want to go to the moon but instead wants to create a Space Force. A Space Force, with no actual details, plans or even interest in doing anything but giving an unintelligible speech with no thought, interest or actual intent.
What happens when we go from a President wanting to be an inclusive, advanced nation to one that wants to punish anyone who criticizes him?
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE, INCLUDING THE HATERS AND THE FAKE NEWS MEDIA! 2019 WILL BE A FANTASTIC YEAR FOR THOSE NOT SUFFERING FROM TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME. JUST CALM DOWN AND ENJOY THE RIDE, GREAT THINGS ARE HAPPENING FOR OUR COUNTRY!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 1, 2019
Now that our media has been labeled #fakenews , and the media that is left spends their time chasing The Donald around like a lost puppy, you may have missed this:
BEIJING — China’s burgeoning space program achieved a first on Thursday: a landing on the so-called dark side of the moon.
The United States, the then-Soviet Union and more recently China have all sent spacecraft to the near side of the moon, which faces Earth, but this is the first-ever landing on the other side.
The China National Space Administration said the 10:26 a.m. landing of the Chang'e-4 lunar explorer has “opened up a new chapter in human lunar exploration.
We are not getting beat in the race anymore, we have dropped out of it completely.
We used to aspire to greatness.... now we aspire to piss off liberals.
The first step to solving any problem is to recognize there is one.....
There is most definitely a problem that needs solving!
Let's hope we recognize and solve it before it is too late!

The Walker Legacy
I want this to be my legacy," Walker said.
Kimberly Clark currently has plans to lay off up to 5500 workers, while also enjoying an operating profit last year of $3.3 Billion dollars. Unfortunately for Scott Walker, he has made a habit of sending millions of our dollars to companies that have profits in the billions, so this final(hopefully) giveaway, will not be his legacy.
However after eight long years, what Scott Walker's legacy will be is open to date. Let's take a look at some options.
1. The first option, is the infamous video where Scott Walker tells his boss the strategy he has to screw over the working class of WI.
2. The next option would be, when, shortly after his inauguration, he called his cabinet together and told them to get ready, because he planned on "dropping a BWOMB on the people of WI." Which led to this:
and this:
3. The next option would be the Senators heading to Illinois, the recall and probably the real highlight of Walker's career - the fake phone call with "Charles Koch" which turned into the most honest 10 minutes of his life.
4. Which led to the beginning of the Solidarity singers. When you are a complete partisan tribal hack the way Scott Walker is, you get disgusted anytime a group of people you disagree with gather in public. Which led to Scott Walker and the WISGOP completely dismissing the first amendment, and arresting anyone who looked liberal and stepped foot in the Capitol (at great cost to the taxpayers). Here is American hero Will Williams getting manhandled for daring to be in the people's house.
Friend,
Instead of venturing into the cold this Black Friday, stay in and give your children a gift that will keep on giving.
Governor Walker is helping Wisconsin move forward to a future where your children and grandchildren can experience:
Economic Prosperity
Improved Schools
Freedom From Government Dependence
The Governor wants his sons to grow up in a Wisconsin as great as the one he grew up in. When asked why he never stopped fighting for Wisconsin during the Recall, Governor Walker says he has two reasons, his sons Matt and Alex.
With your help, Governor Walker is enacting reforms that are securing a strong state for the future of Wisconsin’s children. This Black Friday, donate $5, $10 or $25 to help Governor Walker win reelection so he can continue to help Wisconsin move forward.
A strong Wisconsin is the best gift you can give.
Respectfully,
Taylor Palmisano
Friends of Scott Walker
7. Or the fact that when he finally dropped out of the race to be the Republican Presidential Nominee, he said he did so, to make sure that The Donald would never be President.
8. Let's not forget also, that the one big policy point that made Scott Walker stand out when he was running for President. He wanted to build a northern war between the US and Canada.
“So that is a legitimate issue for us to look at.”9. We also can not forget that Scott Walker, is the only Governor to have a "Criminal Defense Fund".
10. While those are all important parts of the Scott Walker legacy, if I had to sum up his eight years into one picture, this is what I would choose!
What do you think the Scott Walker legacy is?

The Baraboo Reflection
By now, you have probably heard that the children of Baraboo High school are public enemy #1, because of a picture they took at least Spring's prom.
Yes it appears, that most of the boys from the class of 2019 were giving the Nazi salute. The photographer swears that he was telling the boys to say good bye to their parents, the camera, Scott Walker, their anonymity, or whatever the story is he is telling at the time.
One of the students who was there, and did not Heil to the camera, was Jordan Blue, whose memory is different from the photographers.
"As soon as I heard the photographer say, 'Raise your hand,' I knew what was going to happen," senior Jordan Blue told CBS News correspondent Adriana Diaz. Blue, who is in the photo, refused to participate. The command to raise your hand, is almost automatically turned into a Nazi salute? I wonder why that could possibly be,....
"Did he say anything to make it clear that it was raise your hand in this way as in this Nazi symbol?" Diaz asked.
"He did not say raise your hand in a Nazi symbol way. And I'm pretty sure my classmates just interpreted as raise your hand, let's do this as a joke," Blue said, adding that he thinks the others knew what the symbol represented.
Maybe they watched the Republican National Convention, where one of the main speakers, Laura Ingraham spoke of nationalism....
Of course Ingraham has the highest rated show on Fox. Ever since she came back from her
Maybe they attended a rally for the Donald in West Bend and one of their parents bought a Nazi flag as a Souvenir.
or ran across these guys there:
Or possibly worked for the Republican Paul Nehlen Campaign. Yes, Nehlen did not come close to winning, but he was praised by The Donald for his "kind words".
Or Maybe they caught Richard Spencer's speech:
What does the head of the Alt-Right movement Richard Spencer have to do with Wisconsin? Well a student at UW-Madison wanted to start an alt-right movement on campus and was forced to go through many road blocks, which then led to Republicans Jesse Kremer and Robin Vos to pass a law that says if you disrupt a speaker at the University System you can be expelled.
The student that Vos and Kremer were writing legislation for, was convicted of arson on black churches, which definitely led to his appeal with the WISGOP.
What has the Alt-Right Movement really done, since they were also praised by the Donald as "having some really fine people " as part of their movement. I mean we can overlook the Alt-Rights role in this, all they have done is hold a White Power rally in Charlottesville, NC and shoot up a synagogue in Pittsburgh.
FYI: the guy who keeps praising the Alt-Right movement, he won Wisconsin in the last Presidential vote. Plus Wisconsin's Governor ,was the only elected official, to be a featured speaker at a White power rally in Florida and it barely made the Wisconsin Media blink.(Stormy Daniels was more exciting to cover).
Then there is far right hate radio that made fun of the whole topic:
The list goes on and on.....Whew! It had been almost four days since the left had a good hand-wringing, virtue-signaling moral panic. Thank you, Baraboo High School kids, for bringing meaning to the lives of thousands of online social justice warriors!— Dan O'Donnell (@DanODonnellShow) November 13, 2018
Did the photographer say raise your hand in a Nazi salute....I personally do not think so.
Did the Photographer ask the kids to put their hand in the air and most of them used the Nazi salute for fun....I believe so.
However, before we run to Baraboo with our Pitchforks in hand, maybe we should stop and look in the mirror first and realize all these kids are doing is modeling our behavior.
Next time you look at that picture of the Baraboo Boys with the Nazi salute, take a second look and you will see that it is just a reflection of our current society.
