So, some guy name Bill Clinton, you might have heard of him, came to town on Friday:
Thank you, Mr. President.

Teahadists Do Barrett A Favor
The Koch-sponsored Teahadists held a "big" rally wherethousands hundreds scores dozens of people came out to show their love of Scott Walker.
I know what you're thinking. But hey, even Charles Manson has a following.
But for this once, I hope that their usually exponentially inflated numbers are accurate. Because the more that sat there and listened to echo chamber, the less there were doing the thing that matters - canvassing and phone banking.
And even if there numbers are accurate, that's about 5% of the true Wisconsinites who were putting the boots on the ground to roll out the recall GOTV.
Thanks teahadists! Do it again Sunday and Monday too, please!

Mahlon Mitchell - Problem Solver
Mahlon Mitchell's new ad:
Notice in the ad how Mitchell worked to solve the dispute over the mailbox? His opponent, Rebecca Kleefisch, would have accused the two men of having a lovers' spat and outlawed mailboxes for being too promiscuous.

Walker's Got 99 Problems But The Rich Ain't One
Music to GOTV by:
Hmmm, methinks I could list about a million problems that Walker has.

Walkergate By The Numbers
The Democratic Party of Wisconsin did some cyphering and came up with some astonishing and shameful numbers regarding Walkergate:
And if you want, you can print these findings out and used it to leaflet areas in your GOTV effort.
2: Convictions to dateAnd this is still just the preliminary numbers. They will be going up at a frightening rate as more of the crimes committed by Walker and his rogue band of malefactors are revealed.
6: Walker aides and associates charged
15: Felonies committed by The Walker 6
77: Days since Scott Walker started his criminal defense fund
91.5: Years in prison The Walker 6 could face
1,000+: Number of emails Kelly Rindfleisch exchanged with Walker’s campaign managers while on taxpayer time
1,380: Number of fundraising emails Kelly Rindfleisch exchanged on taxpayer time
$62,232: Amount stolen from veterans and the families of fallen soldiers by Tim Russell and Kevin Kavanaugh
$192,178: Stolen from Milwaukee County taxpayers by Tim Russell and Kelly Rindfleisch to run Scott Walker’s political machine
$270,000: Amount in fines The Walker 6 could face
And if you want, you can print these findings out and used it to leaflet areas in your GOTV effort.

Important Things For Wisconsinites To Do On Tuesday, Recall Day
And I'm not just meaning wishing me a Happy Birthday.
Unless you've been living under a rock or listening to talk radio, but I repeat myself, Tuesday, August 9th is Recall Day when the working, freedom-loving people of Wisconsin claim our state, our rights and our freedom back from those that would sell us like so much chattel.
First, if you're in one of the six districts, go out and vote, dammit! If you like jobs fleeing the state, and the jobs that do remain paying less and less, or if you like not having any civil rights (or really any rights at all), and if you like being in debt the rest of your life, by all means, please vote Republican.
However, if you feel that you should be treated with respect, if everyone should be treated with compassion and respect, if you like working and being able to keep a roof over your head and food on your plate, if you think our kids deserve a decent education, that our vulnerable need our support, then please help reclaim our state by voting Democrat. It's that simple, really.
If you don't know where to vote, you can find that information by clicking here. And yes, you can still vote without an ID and you can still same-day register.
If you know someone who lives in one of those districts, give them a friendly reminder to get out and vote. To make it even easier on you, you can click here and use the handy-dandy "Friend out the vote" page.
It's also not too late to help get out the vote, both for tomorrow and for next Tuesday, August 16, when we defend the two Democratic seats from the marauding teahadists. To learn where to volunteer and to sign up for a shift or three, you can visit this page.
Lastly, AFSCME is holding a conference call on Thursday night to discuss the elections, good or bad, and what it means for us, the everyday, working and thinking people. You can sign up to get called for the conference call and submit questions in advance and it appears to be open to the public. The sign up page can be found by clicking on this here link.
But make sure we have all boots on the ground and let's take back our once and future great state!
