The Scott Jensen Legacy

By Jeff Simpson

I finally figured out why new Assembly rep Jessie Rodriguez does whatever formerly convicted felon Scott Jensen tells her to do:

1.  He was a convicted felon before blind to republican crime Brad Schimel, gave him a get out of jail free card.

2. She knows that if she does not do what he says, he will send his goons over to rough her up!

WIsconsin political aide pleads guilty to disorderly conduct chargeA state legislative aide accused of harassing a news cameraman at the capitol building in Madison, Wis., pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct on April 25.Steve Baas, communications director for Assembly Speaker Scott Jensen, was referred to a first offenders program for his actions inside the state Capitol on Jan. 30. Steve Cady, a cameraman for WBAY-TV in Green Bay, claimed Baas collared him by the necktie while he and a reporter attempted to interview another Jensen aide.Cady claimed Baas spun him around by his necktie and let go of him only when Cady shouted that he captured the incident on videotape. Baas said he tried to move Cady from blocking the hallway and claimed Cady tried to hit him during the confrontation. After the incident, Cady said the videotape exonerated him from Baas' claims. In accepting a plea agreement, the misdemeanor charge will be expunged from Baas' record after he completes the first offenders program. Baas will not have to serve jail time or pay a fine.Although she did not file a complaint, reporter Natalie Arnold said in an interview with The Green Bay News-Chronicle that other Jensen staff members "manhandled" her by shoving her against the wall in an attempt to prevent the interview. The scuffle occurred when Cady and Arnold went to the Capitol to question R. J. Pirlot, another aide to Speaker Jensen, about his involvement in a campaign against state Rep. Lee Meyerhofer (D-Kaukauna). WBAY News has been investigating allegations that Pirlot anonymously provided court transcripts to an independent campaign group. The group has been accused of producing a campaign radio spot that portrayed Meyerhofer as a "wife-beater." (City of Madison v. Baas)-

The question I have, is why in the world would anyone hire a thug like Steve Baas to represent them?  Especially the Milwaukee Chamber of Commerce, no wonder unemployment is so high in Milwaukee.

Here is Baas getting the name of the next person who asked the wrong question to rough up:

If you see this person stand clear he is known to be dangerous!

Edit Note:  Scandal Plagued Scott Jensen is the one person in the state of WI leading the voucher expansion.  Do you really think he has the best interest of your children in mind?  Is he someone you would want your children to look up to or role model?  We all know the answer to that!

Income Inequality That Your Kids Suffer From

By Jeff Simpson

The average teacher salary in Wisconsin is $46,000/yr.  Governor Scott Walker's signature piece of legislation ACT10 cut public workers take home pay by up to 12%.    Which for the average public teacher salary in WI comes to approximately $5520. Act 10 has been in effect for four years now which would be $22,080 in lost income(or demand in Wisconsin).

What was the motivating factor behind that?

Scott Walker in that time has received over $2,400,000 in support of privatizing schools, increasing vouchers and ending teachers unions.  This is money given by the ruling class earmarked as just donations for the politicians they own(for those of you scoring at home, that is equivalent to over 52 teachers complete salaries).

It doesn't stop there.

The Democracy Campaign report showed that spending by voucher supporters skyrocketed in the last election cycle, with more than half of the $9.8 million spent over the past decade coming in 2011 and 2012.

Of the spending, $7 million was for activity like independent campaign ads or mailings. The remaining $2.8 million was given in individual campaign contributions to mostly Republican and conservative candidates for office. Nearly two-thirds of that $2.8 million came from donors outside of Wisconsin.

The most donations came from billionaire voucher advocates Richard and Betsy DeVos of Michigan, who gave $337,330 to Wisconsin candidates between 2003 and the first six months of 2012.
Walker received $2.35 million from voucher supporters since 2006, but most of that came during his recall campaign. He got $1.1 million from individual school choice supporters — including $252,600 from Richard and Betsy DeVos. He got another $1.1 million from the Washington-based American Federation for Children, the report showed.

That group is the main driver of outside spending from voucher supporters in Wisconsin, accounting for $4.4 million of the $7 million over the past decade. The group’s Wisconsin lobbyist is former Republican Assembly Speaker Scott Jensen.

Two other former Republican speakers, John Gard and Jeff Fitzgerald*, work for School Choice Wisconsin.

*  total spending does NOT include salaries to the many many lobbyists they employ.  All of which make more than the average teacher does in salary for a year.

So ask yourself why billionaires, who have spent their life increasing their salary and worrying about ROI would be investing millions in privatizing our schools.

Do you think it is because they worry about YOUR child's education or is it because they see massive return on investments by privatizing our schools?

Public Property

By Jeff Simpson

Dan Bice and JSonline, has been inexplicably trying to make center right leaning Mary Burke out to be a radical leftist(whatever that is).

Here is one of his latest

Mary Burke hires ex-union official ticketed in Racine protest

Last year, the one-time labor organizer garnered media attention after she was ticketed for illegally picketing during a rowdy Racine protest that police said left some attendees "visibly traumatized." The rally was aimed at satirizing rich Republicans.

Apparently, satire is as illegal as singing in Scott Walker's Wisconsin.

To my friends at JSonline.  Here is a better headline.

Political Wisconsin Woman Joins Political Campaign.

17 people showed up in a limo, driven on public streets, dress in top hats and nice dresses and protested a fund raiser, being held for public officials Robin Vos and Paul Ryan on a public sidewalk.

Sure I get that it was a "private" residence, but when you are buying public property, then you have to learn to deal with the public.   Unless of course, the favors you want when you buy a politician is only for the benefit of your "private" residence.

Vos' benefactors were so visibly shaken by having to deal with the plebe's, that they immediately ran to the police(as soon as Paul Ryan was done begging for money that is).

It is very nice and handy to have your own police force, that the taxpayers fund.  It gets embarrassing whoring yourself out to  the highest bidder and even more embarrassing being caught purchasing these prostitutes so it is very nice when you can get the public union workers on the police force to cloean up the streets of anyone who might see you!

This of course gives our friends on the right a chance to hammer home the ridiculous union thugs line once again.   Here Aaron Rodriguez can't wait to take an unfair shot:

Want an occupy protester to help the upper echelons win public office? No problem, just give Zellner a call. Want an ardent unionist to campaign for a wealthy exec who made millions off non-unionized labor? No problem, Zellner is just a phone call away.  Need someone to scare grandma off a cliff, Zellner seems to be up for the challenge.

Seriously though, when you work this closely with "formerly" convicted felon and all around scumbag Scott Jensen, can you really complain about anyone else's acquaintences?
