Congratulations Are In Order

Congratulations go out to Ellen Degeneres and Portia de Rossi, who were married over the weekend.

Now, if only the rest of the country, including Wisconsin, would become as enlightened as to allow equal rights to everyone.

And for your entertainment, here is a video in which Ellen politely puts it to a flat-footed McCain who could not offer an intelligent response for his prejudice.

  1. I guess I'll just remain, as you put it, unenlightened. I'll cling to my faith, as it were.. ;-)

  3. And?

No one is perfect. He is still the far, far better choice over McCain.

  4. The point you fail to grasp is that if liberals would support this it would have a better chance of passing.

How did it manage to fail in Wisconsin in the year of the blue wave? Democrats voted against gay marraige.

Yet all of your scorn is pointed in the other direction.

Perhaps you should get your own party onbaord instead of trying to villify the other side.

You point out a McCain "prejudice" while you excuse Obama.

How do you sleep with all of your double standards?

  5. I will be interested to see what is said by the left when and if the California Gay Marriage prop goes down in flames (pun intended) will the excuse be...

    A. California people are unenlightened.

    B. Its the Damn Republicans fault. or

    C. A combination thereof...

  6. No double standards. If Ms. Degeneres made a clip scolding Obama, I'd post that too, but she didn't so I can't.

    And Michael, welcome.

I would blame human nature. People tend to fear what they don't understand.

Of course, rational answers like this one makes Fred's tantrums look all the sillier. Right, anon?
