Massachusetts DAs Smarter Than Wisconsin AG

A while ago, Illy-T put up a post regarding a commentary by the Massachusetts District Attorneys Association regarding the arrest of Professor Henry Gates. There was one sentence that really jumped out at me:
In reaching its decision, the Court noted that the rationale behind criminalizing disorderly conduct rests on the belief that a disorderly person can provoke violence in others.
It makes one wish that some local municipal judges, as well as the Wisconsin State Attorney General would have that kind of common sense when applying the laws regarding disorderly conduct here.

  1. I just don't see your view here. This man was just carrying a gun on his hip. He wasn't pointing it around, or threatening people.

Just because your ignorant nad afraid of guns doesn't mean he was being unlawful.

This is just another case were you liberals are willing to use violence, or the threat there of, to stuff your view point down people throats.

Why do you have such a propensity towards forcing people do do things your way. Is it that you are just smarter than everyone else?

In my opinion I think disorderly conduct charges are crap. It's just a tool police use to exercise there authority over others. So they can show people how big and tough they are. It's what they use to deal with people that haven't actually broken the law. Can you say, Police State.

  2. Considering I own a number of firearms, I highly doubt that I am afraid of them.

Why is the right have such a propensity towards anti-social behaviors?

And for Dlsorderly Conduct, it is a vague law, yess, but it is necessary, otherwise we will have a law for every little things, since some people just plain don't know how to conduct themselves in public.

  3. There be no fear greater
    It seems to me
    But to carry a sidearm
    To plant a tree

    Not yet enough dead
On line sales in Green Bay
    To whom did you sell
    A weapon today?

    Say "Not enough guns"
    In defense of your ass
You'd have them hang off the hips
    Of every aerobics class

    Not yet enough dead
For police to inquire the reason
Why a fire arm in needed
    During tree planting season
