Joe Sanfelippo, You know the guy who so many on the left want to jump on his end democracy in Milwaukee County as we know it bill, had this to say about the Solidarity Singers:

"It’s sad when a person feels their life is so empty and meaningless that the highlight of their day is to invade an otherwise peaceful capital every noon hour and raise a raucous in the rotunda. If these attention-starved individuals really wanted to contribute something helpful to society, they would spend their days volunteering in soup kitchens or homeless shelters rather than putting on infantile demonstrations for public gratification. Then again, helping people that really need it wouldn’t attract the TV cameras and news reporters that these individuals so desperately crave."

I called Representative Sanfelippo's office, and was told that if I emailed my questions, he would answer me.  I am guessing that they were busy volunteering at the homeless shelter(or writing poorly worded silly press releases).

My list of question for Joe, were these:

* When was the last time YOU volunteered at a homeless shelter or soup kitchen?
 *  Have you ever felt such things about lobbyists who are perpetually in your office and meeting with you?
*  Would you afford the same amount of meeting time with MS. Kemble as you do Convicted felon Scott Jensen?
* Do you think that that the $34,000 people have given you could be better used to help the homeless or for food shelters? 
*  Do you think that the $202,972 That convicted felon Scott Jensen earned as a lobbyist OR that the  $2,392,000 that the Walton funded, public school attacking, American Federation for Children spent trying to privatize our public education could have been better spent at a homeless shelter or soup kitchen?   That buys ALOT of soup(about 2.4 Million cans). I am guessing that $2.4 Million is more than the budget of the Dane County Food Pantry AND Homeless Shelters combined!

By the way, Sanfelippo's quote sounds eerily like another quote from someone who did not like when the peasants revolted - , "for daring and desperate is the spirit of those leaders".

Cudahy - District 3!

There is a very interesting race for Cudahy Alderman - District 3 that I wanted to point out!   It is a race between a progressive leader in ZachWisniewski, and far right blogger Randy Hollenbeck! 

A couple things I wanted to point out.  It appears that you do not have to love Randy Hollenbeck as he seems to love himself enough for everyone.  His self description falls just short of declaring himself "the most interesting man in the world":

Another and even more important thing to keep in mind is an old Japanese Proverb:

Here is Randy giving a speech at a CRG(citizens for responsible government) rally in 2009.   The readers of CogDis, are familiar with a Wisconsin based right wing hate group called CRG!  If you remember, they were the Vile cowards that sent out the loathsome anonymous attack on the Janesville teachers!  They are also well known for being deceitful and dishonest. 

Is this the kind of people you want your Alder people beholden too?   I did not think so!

Help Zach, throw him $5, tell your friends, offer up your yard for a sign, and most important of all - VOTE for Zach Wisniewski on April 2nd, 2013!  

ARM + CRG = POS

The readers of CogDis, are familiar with a Wisconsin based right wing hate group called CRG!  If you remember, they were the Vile cowards that sent out the loathsome anonymous attack on the Janesville teachers!   They are back and we will get to them in a minute!

This election cycle a new "company" seemed to pop up calling themselves "Advanced Research Methods".   ARM offered their services to democratic candidates throughout the state of WI.   Their services consisted of opposition research of the candidates opponents.

A little research and we see a couple things.

1.   They seem to have no website and no way to contact them. 

2.  The only google hit is one Leanne Rice who says her position is an "analyst"   (she obviously is NOT analyzing how to get your companies name out there and drum up business! 

3.  Leanne Rice bills herself as :

Political Consultant

• Field Operations Manager for Confidential Employer

  Provides confidential services to candidates affiliated with
  all political parties.

4.  Some quick research on her and we find that she is good friends(along with most republican elected officials and staff) with MacIver Institute for Republican Propaganda, Our old friend Shrill laBarre , David Prosser's really really really really good friend Vickie Schimming, paid right wing fantasy blargher Jimmy Wigderson and (wait for it), Orville Seymer.  

5.  Orville Seymer is the head coward of the cowardly CRG.  If I didn't know better, I would think that Ms. Rice is a member of CRG herself!  That of course would be highly unethical so that can't be!  

Conclusion:  It is not hard to do opposition research when YOU are the opposition.  I wonder if they mentioned that when they were trying to get business from the democratic candidates or if they overlooked it.  It is hard to imagine that someone like Ms. Rice and her friends would ever stoop so low as to try and mislead us?  Say it aint so! 

Maybe the republican party did not think their message was resonating statewide and they needed to get votes another way?   

Some days, the pure dishonesty and lack of ethics of the republican party, amazes even me!  

Yuri in the 44th!

Due to time constraints and the republicans continuing their craziness, I have been LAX in writing up endorsements.  Here is my first:  Yuri Rashkin in Assembly District 44.

The poor people of Janesville, it is like they are non existent in government (which is has much to do with why their GM plant closed).   They had been poorly represented by Paul Ryan (R - Wall St) for a while, but now he does not even pretend to care about the people in his district anymore. 

Then statewide they had Mike Sheridan for six years(two years as speaker)who seriously shirked his duties and followed that up amazingly, by a huge step down in Joe Knilans, who not only is supremely unqualified, but thinks so little of his district that he does not even live in it.  

The people of Janesville have a chance to right a long standing wrong and finally get representation in our representative government.   They can make a move to correct that by voting in Yuri Rashkin!

While I will get into much more detail in this race as it goes on, I would like to point out where Yuri won my respect and my endorsement.  Remember back in May, the cowards from CRG put out a despicable anonymous flyer attacking a group of amazing teachers from the Janesville School district! Yuri was quickly one of the most outspoken people denouncing this unwarranted, cowardly hateful attacks on the great teachers in the Janesville School District! 

Janesville has a way to go to recover from the devastation that has been reeped upon it by years of insane trade policies and really bad politicians.   Now is the time to start righting the ship.

Cowardice Has a Name

Orville Seymer! 

We found out the person behind this cowardly hate flyer that was circulated in Janesville over the weekend.  Not only was this ridiculous and hate filled but it was meant strictly to intimidate the teachers of Janesville.  Well one person stepped forward to deflect the credit from the people who actually circulated the attack. 

HT Democurmudgeon:

Seymore on the anger of anonymous unpopular cowardly tea party snakes: "They're angry that the teachers are getting such a good deal, and the taxpayers are paying for that.

Well Mr. Seymer if its such a good deal, why aren't you doing it? Here at Cog Diss we do our research and have come upon breaking news. It appears that Mr. Seymer is still bitter that his acting career piqued in 1984.

Cowardice as an Art Form - Updated!

As Paul Ryan (R-Wall St.), has been saying, "courage is on the ballot".  Scott Walker and all of his supporters failed massively in Janesville(ironically Paul Ryan's home town) over the weekend.  This full page advertisement appeared out of the blue ON people's Janesville Gazette all over Janesville.

For those that can not see, it supposedly lists all of the teachers in Janesville who signed the recall petitions, and their salary and then has a form to sign on the bottom asking to opt out of these "radical teachers" classroom.   They then use Verify the Recall as their source.

And who put out this ad, calling teachers out by name and salary?  Why the people are anonymous of course.  

Scott Walker and his cronies have outdone themselves this time.  Their cowardice, attempts to Bully and Intimidate and  Divide and Conquer are on display for everyone in Wisconsin to see.   When you see the kind of people the Walker brigade are, you realize it is not a pretty sight!  

I guess Paul Ryan supports Tom Barrett after all.

UPDATED:  The Janesville Gazette brings us more to this story and a little about who was behind it:

Citizens for Responsible Government, also known as CRG Network, filed a freedom of information request with the School District of Janesville on March 29, said Brett Berg, spokesman for the district. Those figures were used to create the flier, said CRG Executive Administrator Chris Kliesmet.

"The group and its representative, Orville Seymer, filed a freedom of information request for a list of all Janesville district teachers, their job titles and annual salaries," Berg said.

When contacted by The Gazette, Seymer said he knew the names of local participants but was asked not to release them.

"They want to remain anonymous for fear of retaliation," Seymer said. "However, this is all public information."

The flier lists the names and salaries of 321 teachers whose salaries range from $59,344 to $75,695. The district employs 765 teachers; the lowest salary is $34,676.

"We did most of the grunt work at the request of people over there," Kliesmet said. "We did the freedom of information request and gathered the data. People in the area printed the flier and distributed it."

At least Superintendent Karen Schulte stepped up:

Schulte said she was shocked when someone showed her the flier Saturday. She said it was interesting that she saw the flier at Craig High School, where 400 people—including teachers—were volunteering to package food to be sent to feed the hungry in Haiti.

"I think it's wrong to go after any group that has an honest profession," Schulte said. "I don't understand where this intense anger is coming from."

so while this hate group was distributing anonymous hate fliers over the weekend,  the teachers that they are attempting to demonize were busy organizing a food drive for the people of Haiti.   Nuff Said


One last thing though, about those exorbitant have's of the Janesville School District:

 Only two teachers make more than $74,000. Salaries are based on a salary schedule that awards pay raises for years on the job to a maximum of 17 years and for continuing education up to the doctoral level. Teachers pay out of their own pockets to take the graduate courses. Teachers also receive extra pay for additional duties, such as coaching.

 765 teachers in the Janesville School District and only 2 make more than $70/k year.  The nerve of them...
