Scott Walker: Black Lives Don't Matter

By Jeff Simpson

H/T Mal Contends:

Elections 2016 Scott Walker: I don’t have time for Black Lives Matter — let’s talk about ‘things that matter’
Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) on March 1, 2015. (Fox News) Campaigning in New Hampshire, where he finds himself tied in the polls with also-rans Carly Fiorina and Mike Huckabee, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) labeled questions as to whether he would meet with Black Lives Matter activists as “ridiculous,” reports the Daily Mail. With his campaign also floundering in neighboring Iowa, where he once polled in the double figures,
Walker has become more aggressive as of late, echoing many of the same talking points that have boosted blustery businessman Donald Trump to the lead for the 2016 GOP presidential nomination. Asked at a ‘Politics and Eggs’ breakfast forum in Manchester on Friday if he would take some time to sit down with the African-American activists, Walker called the question “ridiculous.” “I’m going to meet with voters. I mean, I’ve said, it’s not just – who knows who that is?” the flustered Walker replied before comparing the grassroots civil rights organization to the Tea Party. “I’m going to talk with American voters. Period. It’s the same way as saying you’re going to meet with the Tea Party,” he continued. “Who’s the Tea Party? There’s hundreds of thousands of people out there.” “I’m here to talk to voters in New Hampshire about things that matter,” Walker told the Daily Mail reporter.
If you want to meet with Scott Walker, you have a better chance if you advocate to bring back slavery, than if you are a minority.

Walker Continues To Sink In Polls

Six months ago, when Walker appeared to be taking Iowa by storm, I questioned if he was peaking too early.

It appears that he might have been and now that voters are getting to know him better - especially after his dismal performance in the first debate - Walker has been sinking in the polls.
In Iowa, he went from a commanding lead to a distant third:

After leading the GOP presidential field in Iowa for months, Gov. Scott Walker is no longer on top in the latest polling.

In a survey released Wednesday by CNN/ORC, Donald Trump leads among Republicans in Iowa with 22%, followed by Ben Carson at 14% and Walker at 9%.

Trump also leads Walker in two other Iowa surveys taken since the Aug. 6 GOP debate in Cleveland, where Walker avoided mistakes but turned in a low-profile performance that was overshadowed by some of his rivals.

And yes, the debate did hurt Walker:
Asked in the Suffolk GOP poll in Iowa which candidate impressed them the most in the prime time Fox News debate, 23% said Marco Rubio, 22% said Carson, 11% said Ted Cruz, 11% said Trump, 8% said John Kasich, 6% said Mike Huckabee and only 5% said Walker.
Iowa isn't the only place where Walker is hurting bad.

A poll just released in New Hampshire shows Walker is losing badly there as well:
Voters were asked who they would vote for if the New Hampshire Republican presidential primary were held today. The results indicate that there is no clear front-runner in the race. Donald Trump (19%) appears to hold a very slim lead over Jeb Bush (13%) and John Kasich (12%). Ted Cruz (9%) and Carly Fiorina (9%) also show up strongly in the poll. Rand Paul (down 7-points) and Scott Walker (down 11-points) have both lost ground since the last poll in March, 2015.
This embarrassment couldn't happen to a more deserving person.

Scott Walker - Geography Failure

By Jeff Simpson

Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker sent this email today:

Jeff,

Our Founding Fathers had it right: leaders who serve closest to the people are the most responsive and accountable to the people.

This has always been Governor Walker's philosophy as governor and it has enabled him to focus on the priorities of the people he serves.

Yet at the same time I received this email, Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker was in New Hampshire:

DERRY, N.H. — Gov. Scott Walker spoke to potential supporters during a brief meet-and-greet Sunday at Marion Gerrish Community Center as he was wrapping up his second trip to the Granite State in the last few weeks.
“We’ll be back here many more times,” said Walker, one of 19 politicians courting New Hampshire presidential primary voters at the First in the Nation Republican Leadership Summit in Nashua.

Reid J. Epstein         @reidepstein
Scott Walker, getting no favors from NHGOP. His speech tonight moved into far smaller room b/c wedding taking over main venue.

Just because we at Cogdis like to offer help, to Mr. Walker and his uneducated campaign staff.  New Hampshire is NOT Wisconsin, as a matter of fact, New Hampshire is 1218.31 miles away from  serving the people of WI.

Hey Scott, I See The Signs!

By Jeff Simpson

Scott Walker was doing what he does best recently, campaigning out of state and telling tall tales. This time to a Christian media convention:

He told a Christian Media Convention in Tennessee that he has not yet decided whether to run for president.  He told the crowd that he's waiting on a sign from a higher power. He says it takes a certain kind of person to want to be president.
Governor Walker says, "You've got to be crazy to want to be president of the United States. You've got to be crazy. When you look at what it does to a person and a family - you've got to be crazy."
Apparently, the fact that he is the only person in America to have their political organization open up campaign offices in Iowa and New Hampshire (the first two Presidential Primary states) is not sign enough.

I guess Mr. Walker was speaking in tongues when he learned about the 9th and 10th Commandments.

FInally! Scott Walker Creates Jobs!

By Jeff Simpson

We have been waiting years for Scott Walker to actually make a positive impact on the economy and create jobs! Well, wait no more. Mr. Walker has finally, finally done it!!

MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Less than a week after returning from a London trade mission where he refused to answer questions about foreign policy, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker has hired foreign and domestic policy advisers.
A spokeswoman for Walker's political committee Our American Revival said Wednesday that he hired Mike Gallagher to advise on international issues and Kristin Jackson to work on domestic policies.

Ok, so it is only two jobs, and it is personal tutors because Mr. Walker is not the brightest bulb on the tree.  I hope they are not tutoring him on State Taxpayer time.

If they can get Sarah Palin to fake her way through a debate, there is hope for Scott.   He can see Canada from his luxury Box  when the Bucks play the Raptors.

But Wait there is more, Scott Walker was on a roll today and created even more jobs!   Unfortunately these jobs are very low paying and are in New Hampshire.

The Associated Press is reporting that Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker has expanded his political team to New Hampshire, where he’s hired adviser to lead his efforts in that state as he gears up for a likely 2016 presidential run.
Walker’s political operation Our American Revival confirmed Wednesday to AP that Andy Leach has been hired as senior adviser in New Hampshire and Michael Bir will handle day-to-day operations.
One of Scott Walker's first hires is a leech, how apropos.

I know that you can count on one hand how many jobs he created today, and that none want to someone from WI, but let's give him a star for trying.  This could be his biggest economic day of his career.

Mitt Steps In It Again!

Mitt Romney recently had a very very bad week.  In order to TRY and change the tide that was running against him, he took a quote from President Obama and grossly twisted it into a different reality

Well not only was he lying about what President Obama actually said, it turns out that he had said almost the exact same thing that the President had said, that so upset Mitt.  Then he doubled down and said the same thing again to our Olympic Athletes

All the while running ads pounding on President Obama:

Mitt used hard core republican Jack Gilchrist who owns Gilchrist Metal Fabricating Company.

“My father’s hands didn’t build this company? My hands didn’t build this company? My son’s hands aren’t building this company?” New Hampshire businessman Jack Gilchrist, president of Gilchrist Metal, asks in the ad that’s been making waves since last week.
Forgetting the fact that if Jack's father built the company then, yes someone did build that company for him, it still turns out that Mr. Gilchrist might have needed a little help in building his company!    Who knew

In the Mitt Romney campaign web and television ads that received national attention last week, a blunt Jack Gilchrist of Gilchrist Metal Fabricating in Hudson tells President Barack Obama that he, his father and his son _ and not the government _ built his company.

But as it turns out, Gilchrist did receive some government help for his business, albeit a long time ago.

In 1999, Gilchrist Metal received $800,000 in tax-exempt revenue bonds issued by the New Hampshire Business Finance Authority “to set up a second manufacturing plant and purchase equipment to produce high definition television broadcasting equipment,” according to a New Hampshire Union Leader report at the time.

The federal government allocates to each state a certain amount of tax-exempt bonding capacity each year for business and housing loans.

Because the bond buyers do not pay federal taxes on the interest, the interest rate for the borrower is typically lower than that of standard bank financing.

Last year, Gilchrist Metal also received two U.S. Navy sub-contracts totaling about $83,000 and a smaller, $5,600 Coast Guard contract in 2008, according to a government web site that tracks spending.

As Capper likes to point out with these republicans:  But wait there's more:

He also said his company received a U.S. Small Business Administration loan totaling “somewhere south of” $500,000 in the late 1980s.

He said his business has also received matching funds from the New England Trade Adjustment Assistance Center (NETAAC), which is federally-funded.

Gilchrist said about 10 percent of his company's contracts are defense-related.

I love the smell of republican hypocrisy and fake outrage in the morning!

Of course, the Romney campaign stands by their ad!

When you are the etch-a-sketch candidate you shake it up and change your mind any second!
