The $2,000,000 Man

They say crime pays, but apparently being a career politician really really pays.  

Scott Walker, without a college degree and never having met a payroll or even spent a day in the private sector is worth a whopping $2,000,000.   

Since Mr. Walker is a multi millionaire and career politician, every single dollar he is worth has come from the taxpayers of Wisconsin.     Now he is repaying us by traveling he country on our dime.  

Not bad work if you can get it.    

By the way, average teacher salary in Wisconsin is $52,000/yr.   Which means if they did not spend a nickel, they would reach Mr. Walker's net worth after forty years of working.  

 

Another One Cashes Out!

Career Government worker, and current previous republican assembly representative Chad Weininger is leaving the Assembly, he just is not going to resign. 

Weininger is leaving the Assembly to become director of administration for Brown County, the top appointed post in the county’s government. He said the county post enables him to be closer to his growing family; Weininger and his wife, Heather, have two pre-school aged daughters.
 
County Executive Troy Streckenbach nominated Weininger in March; the County Board approved the nomination March 19. The previous administration director, Brent Miller, now heads the county’s human resources department.

Weininger will be paid $98,125 in his new position. Miller received the same salary.

Because he didn’t resign from the Assembly, Weininger still is eligible for state benefits until his successor takes office in January. He said he will discontinue those benefits once he obtains coverage from Brown County.

 Once again we have a republican "small government" representative who uses his position and power and contacts to cash in on government.    Double Dipper Weininger will also keep his Wisconsin taxpayer funded benefits and salary, despite the fact that he will no longer be working. 

Weininger is a former Soap Box Derby champion, I guess that qualifies him for $100/yr taxpayer funded non accountable position!

That brings to 20 the amount of incumbents(who gerrymandered their districts to stay safe) who are resigning and cashing out on the backs of taxpayers.  

The rats are always the first to leave the ship!  Could be they know how the sausage is made and do not want to be around when the house of cards comes tumbling down? 

 

Scott Walker's Ignorance

Scott Walker (or one of his less educated staff members) tweeted this yesterday:  H/T -FDLFVR:

I will just say that a general "school house rock" understanding of the America that we know, would show why this statement is utterly ridiculous done by someone random person but borderline a resignable offense by a career politician who wants to be President.  

On July 4th 1776, our Founding Fathers declared Independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain which was ruled by a King George III. 

We then through some time of negotiating and growing our country, ratified and adopted our US Constitution on September17, 1787 of which we created our Constitutionally Limited Democratic Republic of which we now live under.  

So either Scott Walker thinks either - A. that we declared independence from a democracy or B. that we still live under King rule or C. That he really just does not think.   Yet still tweets something this dumb.  

Scott Walker makes some Miss America Contestants seem like policy wonks!

Yet this guy wants to be President?  

Maybe we should have a law that ALL politicians need to pass a test to work in our Government!
