Milwaukee Journal Sentinel To Become Even More Useless

We've already seen how the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel has gone from bad to worse in short order. Any sense of objective reporting is all but gone, and I do believe that the editorial board has jumped O. Ricardo Pimentel and have him locked up in a closet, as that he was about the only liberal voice left on that page. MJS has become Faux News in the printed form.

The only thing left of value to the paper were the comics, the coupons and the TV guide. One could always find the comics on the Intertubes, leaving only coupons and the TV guide.

Now they are going to make that only the Sunday coupons, as they are about to do away with the TV guide. From an electronic admail:

The growth of cable and satellite broadcasts — and their on-screen listings — means many copies of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel’s TV CUE go straight to the recycling bin.

We want to give our readers what they want, not what they don’t.

That’s why, beginning November 16, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel is giving you the chance to reduce your environmental footprint by delivering TV CUE each Sunday only to those who want it.

Are you one of them?

If so, click here, our TV CUE online site is the fastest and most convenient way to sign up 24 hours a day. You can also call the TV CUE hotline 24 hours a day at 1-866-616-5072 and let us know.

What if I don’t want to receive TV CUE? Then you don’t have to do anything. We’ll stop delivering TV CUE as part of your Sunday Journal Sentinel beginning November 16.

Now it is safe to say it that MJS is worth less than the paper it is written on.

  1. It's a shame to see how utterly useless our once-proud newspapers have become.

  2. I'd consider subscribing if I knew it didn't mean bankrolling right-wing blowhards like Patty Mac.
