Ohio label maker Multi-Color Corp. has informed state of Wisconsin officials that it will permanently close its plant in Watertown on or around Jan. 2, resulting in the loss of 58 jobs.Despite the inane rhetoric, something tells me that Wisconsin isn't going to be moving forward for a long, long time.
The company said in a mass layoff notice filed with the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development that curtailment of operations will begin immediately, although some employees may have to stay after the planned closing date to assist in the transition. None of the employees are represented by a union.
