Tyler August Running Scared

By Jeff Simpson

What happens when a man of privilege, feels he deserves to be in an elected office for life and gets challenged by a strong, intelligent woman?

I think we all know the answer to that.   The man feels threatened and so the threats begin.

This cycle has been playing out for ages in our country and it played out again in the 32nd District.   Tyler August is the current placeholder and thanks to some unethical gerrymandering, he feels this is his seat for life.

Christine Welcher has other ideas and the people of the 32nd are taking notice.   Christine's success and positive message, coupled with Tyler August's /laziness and record of pettiness, has caused Mr. August to fear for his job.

Mr. August losing his job, is unacceptable to many people in the state, who we learned through #walkerdocs rely on non thinking yes men, to  pass their regressive agenda.

They then decided to do what they do best....intimidate(or at least try too)!

During what's been contentious election season so far, Lake Geneva police are now investigating vandalism hitting a cluster of campaign signs.
The signs were put up by the Walworth County Democrats along Baker Street in the city. The vandalism happened sometime before Sunday afternoon, authorities said.
Investigators currently do not have any leads in the case.
On Tuesday the fingers of Bob Cole poke through a Russ Feingold sign. He usually just installs them for the Walworth County Democrats - but armed with masking tape and another round of zip-ties - now he's doing rehab.
The most work needs to be done on a campaign sign for Christine Welcher who's running for the assembly seat for the 32nd District.
Someone forced multiple holes into her poster directly on the eye and mouth.
"They only way they could be is someone kicked 'em, beat 'em, chop 'em, cut 'em or something," Cole said.
"To me this looks like hate. Somebody, you know, they go for their face to hurt 'em," Cole said.

Yes it is definitely hate.  When you have a Governor whose main policy is this:

When hate is the one product Walker is pedaling, hate is what we get.   Unfortunately for him and his crew, Christine Welcher is unintimidated!

That is the kind of person that the people of the 32nd district, and the people of Wisconsin needs fighting for them.

While I doubt Mr. August had anything to do with the blatant hate and vandalism, he has been extremely quiet.  A call from him to stop the crimes would be appreciated but do not expect it to come.   He has relied on these kind of actions to get elected, and remain in power, so do not expect him to denounce them.

The best way to do that is to vote for Christine Welcher.  That is the best message to send these vandals and Mr. August!

Here is her website and her Facebook page.   Let's help her become our new Representative.   You will not regret it!

Wright Is the Right Choice In The 51st!

By Jeff Simpson

In the upcoming election, there is too much focus on the top of the ticket and not enough on the races that matter.  The ones that continue on, after you vote for Senator Feingold.

One that is very important is the 51st Assembly District.   The 51st is currently being represented by Todd Novak (R-Scott Jensen).   Todd Novak was recently named a "school choice champion" by American Federation for Children and Scott Jensen.  This is interesting because there are no voucher schools within his own district, so he is a champion of giving public education money to his bosses.

One thing that he is not, is a champion for public schools in his district,   One thing we need to point out also is Mr. Novak is also Mayor of Dodgeville(so he double dips).

Can you name one of the school districts most harmed by the education policies of the Walker administration and the Republicans.

If you guessed Dodgeville you would be correct.

District Administrator Jeffrey Jacobson said 28 teachers left the district, which comprises two elementary schools, a middle school and a high school, this summer. He said the district has hired 28 new teachers to replace them.
"In a small town, that's a lot, that's a lot of turnover," Jacobson said. "I don't want to pretend the number that we have this year doesn't draw special attention."
One parent said learning that so many teachers left the district worries her.
"It's really concerning, I didn't know we had 28 that had left," said Tahera Stern. "To hear that many is pretty scary."

The Assembly Rep and Mayor of Dodgeville is being praised by AFC while his own district crumbles under his own nose.   All of the favors that the local police have done for Mr. Novak when he gets on the whiskey, you would think he would want to help the city out in return.  Maybe the good folks of Dodgeville, should have taken heed when Mr. Novak was peeing all over the side of a building downtown as a sign of things to come.

Luckily the members of the 51st have an alternative in Jeffrey Wright.   Not the outstanding character actor, but the Assistant Superintendent of the Sauk Prairie School District.

Wisconsin has been home to my family since before its statehood. I grew up in the central part of the state, and after serving as a high school principal on Chicago’s south side, my wife and I decided to put down roots and raise a family back home in Wisconsin. Now living outside of Plain, I am the assistant superintendent for the Sauk Prairie Schools, one of the 15 school districts in the 51st Assembly District.
I value the identity of our region and see a strong path forward through smart investments in our rich traditions. I am active with economic development work, serve as the president of a local rails-to-trails effort, and participate in other civic and community groups. Let’s work together to advocate for local control of strong public schools and responsive municipalities. Let’s champion the need for wise investment in infrastructure and broadband, and find ways to attract and retain the next generation to build their lives in our dynamic rural communities.
It is imperative that we send as many champions of public education champions as possible to the legislature and this race that choice is clear cut!

Go to Jeffrey Wrights website and Facebook page.   Send him a few bucks call your friends in his district and knock some doors for him.

Our kids will thank you!

Scott Walker Loses Again

By Jeff Simpson

Scott Walker takes another blow. Scott Walker, on his punish the poor tour, and one of the few campaign promises that he kept was to drug test the poor before they were allowed to get their SNAP benefits.
On Monday, many Wisconsin residents who apply for food stamps, unemployment benefits, jobs training, or benefits and training from a handful of other state programs will have to be screened and potentially tested for drug use.Applicants will have to fill out a questionnaire about drug use, and depending on their answers, may have to submit to an actual test. Those who test positive will be referred to a state-funded treatment program.
More consistently in Wisconsin, another of Scott Walker and the Republicans major initiatives was struck down by a federal judge

WASHINGTON ― A federal court has stymied the state of Wisconsin’s effort to drug test food stamp applicants.
Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) championed the drug test policy as he launched a doomed presidential bid in 2015. The Obama administration said federal lawdoesn’t allow states to drug test food stamp recipients, so the Walker administration asked a federal court to decide.
Federal Judge Charles Clevert said Wisconsin filed its complaint too soon, arguing it hadn’t actually implemented the drug testing policy and given the Obama administration a chance to reject it formally.
“It is unclear how Wisconsin will implement the drug-testing program and what, if any, additional issues may or may not arise from it,” Clevert wrote in his Sept. 28 decision.
The Walker administration did not immediately respond to a request for comment. A regional office for the Department of Agriculture, which is the federal agency that oversees the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, declined to comment.
In response to the lawsuit last year, Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack told HuffPostthat Walker didn’t understand federal law.
“It’s always a good idea before you start litigation to understand what the law is,” Vilsack said then.

One last point, a major initiative of our Governor's gets shot down in Federal Court that effects thousands of Wisconsinites, did not warrant a mention yet on JSonline.com or Madison.com.

Geraldo Calls David Clarke Out For "Unfair" Racist Rhetoric

After the Veep debate, Geraldo Rivera and Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke joined Sean Hannity to discuss the debate. Things quickly broke down when Rivera pointed out Clarke's irresponsible racist rhetoric:

Appearing on Sean Hannity's post-vice presidential debate show, Clarke said he took exception to Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Kaine's criticism of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump for saying black Americans are "living in hell." Clarke is a Trump surrogate who often criticizes Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.

"I said that before Donald Trump did," Clarke asserted, recalling a remark he first made in August. "I said the American ghetto is a hellhole — unless Mrs. Bill Clinton and Sen. Kaine think it's OK for blacks to live in entrenched poverty with failing schools, inadequate housing and crime-infested neighborhoods."

But Rivera pushed back, saying he grew up in New York City and rides his bike on streets all over the town.

"Harlem is not a hellhole," Rivera said. "I got news for you. There are beautiful brownstones there. There's a striving middle class. There's new restaurants opening all the time."

Rivera finished by calling Clarke's generalization "outrageous" before being cut off by Hannity, who tried to shift the discussion to the problems of African-Americans in Chicago. Rivera agreed that there are "pockets of real gang violence" in the Second City. He added that Chicago has problems that don't exist in New York.
Clarke then stomped his undersized, cowboy booted, little feet, stuck, out his lower lip and said he does too know all about ghettos and how he faces them every day.

What he forgot to mention is he won't even go to the bathroom unless he is escorted by a small platoon of deputies acting as bodyguards.

Then again, if he ever bothered doing his damn job instead of pandering to his plantation bosses on Faux News, maybe crime in Milwaukee wouldn't be half as bad as he pretends it is.

Republicans Write Off RoJo As A Lost Cause

Ron Johnson, who has consistently been trailing Russ Feingold in the polls and in fundraising, just got some more bad news this week:
As the National Republican Senatorial Committee rolled back its planned spending on Johnson’s behalf, it wasn’t clear Monday to what extent that would be offset by a new ad buy from a different wing of the same group.

NRSC spokeswoman Andrea Bozek confirmed Monday that the independent expenditure arm of the NRSC was canceling a planned ad buy in Wisconsin of about $830,000, slated to air from Oct. 17 to Nov. 7.

“Given this difficult political climate, we have to adjust reservations and strategy to ensure we are in the best position to protect the majority,” a NRSC aide reportedly said, according to Politico Pro, which first reported the news.
But that doesn't mean that Feingold will have an easy go of it for the last few weeks before election day.
The Democrats are scaling back their help as well. Even worse, dark money has started to flood Wisconsin with their smear ads:

As Senate Republicans and Democrats shift — at least for now — their focus away from Wisconsin, Johnson still stands to benefit from new spending by outside groups.

A new super PAC, Reform Wisconsin Fund, last week announced a major ad buy that slams Feingold for voting to allow partial-birth abortion. That buy amounts to about $365,000 in its first week, according to the fund.
With the Dems scaling back their help and facing a flood of dark money, I am sure that Feingold - and the people of Wisconsin - would be very grateful for any money that the gentle reader can throw his way.

Caption This! The Trump Junior Edition

I saw this picture on the Intertubes today, of Donald Trump, Jr., apparently eyeing up his stepmother in a less than wholesome way:

Not only did Junior inherit his dad's name and propensity for lying, he also inherited his dad's lechery.

You're (Not) A Good Man, Charlie Sykes

By Jeff Simpson

Chuck Sykes made bigger news today than he should have, by saying he was leaving his radio show at the end of the year.

Charlie Sykes, who has helped shape conservatism and some of its leading local figures for more than two decades, is leaving the air at the end of the year.
What Bice meant to say was that Charlie helped define a new brand of conservatism(Who is Ike anyway?)in the eastern corner of Wisconsin.   Sykes, as we have seen by the lack of actual influence of Wisconsin Republicans on the national stage, has had a very minimal effect on national "conservatism".

As we pointed out a couple weeks ago, Charlie has started trying to rework his public persona and too many "journalists" are working with him to allow that too happen.

Politico had a puff piece where they used an example to show how Charlie has changed:

“Yeah! Let me make a comparison, and I don’t mean this in a bad way,” Audrey says. “They’re talking about phasing out breeding of pit bulls. Well, not all pit bulls are bad.”
“You’re comparing American citizens, Muslims, to rabid dogs,” Sykes responds.
“No, I’m saying, they’re talking about phasing out the breed because so many are bad. No one wants to phase out poodles! I mean, there’s no Lutherans doing this! We never know when one of these people are going to be radicalized.”
“One of these people,” says Sykes.
Sykes ends the call. He’s silent, broadcasting dead air. He looks upset, like he’s stopped breathing. He goes to a commercial break.
“OK, that doesn’t happen very often,” he says off-air. “I’m not usually absolutely speechless.” He says his listeners never talked like this until recently.
“Were these people that we actually thought were our allies?” he asks.

Interesting question Chucky,  the quick answer is YES!

The Politico piece was written in August, where the blatant racism took Charlie's breath away.

Charlie recovered quickly though, and within a couple months, was back at it with winks and nods towards the Audrey's of Wisconsin.

Our Friends at Wisconsin Law and Liberty (WILL) will be holding a Soiree in Milwaukee coming up, where there is a $100 entry fee to see a conversation between Dr. Charles Murray and (you guessed it) Charlie Sykes.

While $100 seems expensive, it is a small price to pay, when you can gather a room full of people who look like you and find an "expert" to tell you that you are superior to everyone who does not look like you!

Doc Murray has made a career telling white people that they are smarter than black, women, and latino's. That of course fits the perfect profile of someone that WILL would get as a guest of honor and Charlie would want to spend the night speaking with.

The white nationalist Dr. Murray, who also happens to be a good friend and ally of Paul Ryan, will be at the University Club of Milwaukee on Wednesday October 12th from 6:00-9:00 pm.

Cash Bar will be open at 6:00, followed by a serving of bigotry, discrimination and narrow-mindedness, dessert will be a fresh serving of Jim Crow, made from Charlie Sykes own recipe.

In between the courses, Charlie Sykes and Dr. Murray will be discussing the wonders of white people.

In the end its no surprise that Charlie Sykes will be the lone person on stage with Dr. Murray.

The question that needs to be answered though, is will Audrey be in the front row?

Lee Camp - Redacted

Published on Sep 30, 2016
In this episode of Redacted Tonight, Lee Camp breaks down the first 2016 Presidential Debate. He covers the crucial issues that were absurdly missing from the debate; issues that are, in fact, the most pressing for our nation and the world. Also, correspondent John F. O’Donnell infiltrates the presidential debate like a troll-god. He messes with the heads of some of the most powerful American politicians alive, and they have no freakin’ idea. Then Lee Camp gives updates on both the lawsuit against the Democratic National Committee for rigging the primary election against Bernie Sanders, and the militaristic measures taken against the Dakota Access Pipeline clean-water defenders. Finally, Correspondent Naomi Karavani reveals the intensifying “War on Cash.”

Sean Duffy's Cowardice!

By Jeff Simpson

Sean Duffy, reality "star", semi lawyer and nude dancer, married his Real World co-"star", Rachel Campos.  The couple have eight children and Ms. Campos-Duffy was voted one of the most influential Latino Republicans in America.

The Republican Nominee for President of the United States, The Donald, recently threw a hissy fit regarding 1996 Miss Universe, Alicia Machado.

"He called this woman Miss Piggy. Then he called her Miss Housekeeping because she was Latina," Clinton said. "She has become a U.S. citizen, and you can bet she's going to vote this November."

So Donald Trump calls a Miss Universe - Miss Housekeeping because she was Latina and then calls her Miss Piggy because she gained some weight.

What does family values, father of girls, husband of a successful Latina woman Sean Duffy have to say about that?

One of Donald Trump's strongest allies in Wisconsin says he doesn't think voters care "a whole lot" about comments the Republican presidential candidate has made about a former beauty pageant winner, including a set of recent tweets encouraging voters to "check out (her) sex tape."

"I don’t think it changes the viewpoint of many voters," said U.S. Rep. Sean Duffy on a call with reporters Friday morning.
Yes Trump Voters do not care a whole lot about what The Donald, perpetually demeaning women, and neither does Congressman Duffy.   Unfortunately though many people are paying attention, even if they are not speaking out:

I am certain that Congressman Duffy's children are listening and realizing that their father has nothing to say to Mr. Trump but good job and you have earned my vote.

One last thing, in the small, small world of politics, Sean Duffy's former "outreach director" Pat Snyder is running for Assembly.   Do we really want to infect our Assembly with someone who is "outreach director" for someone with such a small mind?   Who is he actually reaching out too?  Orange, overweight sexists?

Let us end the stain of incompetence that Sean Duffy has given us.....Mr. Duffy has an opponent.

Mary Hoeft for Congress, check out her webpage here and her facebook page here.

Sean Duffy will not even stand up for his own family, why would we fight for you?

Let's send someone to Congress who will fight for everyone and not put party ahead of sexism, racism and Misogyny.

Trek V Trump

By Jeff Simpson

Pretty much anyone who has ever worked on. or been a part of Star Trek, has joined together like a United Federation of Planets to beg people not to vote for Trump....

Trek Against Trump
September 29 at 11:00am
Star Trek has always offered a positive vision of the future, a vision of hope and optimism, and most importantly, a vision of inclusion, where people of all races are accorded equal respect and dignity, where individual beliefs and lifestyles are respected so long as they pose no threat to others. We cannot turn our backs on what is happening in the upcoming election. Never has there been a presidential candidate who stands in such complete opposition to the ideals of the Star Trek universe as Donald Trump. His election would take this country backward, perhaps disastrously. We need to elect a president who will move this country forward into the kind of future we all dream of: where personal differences are understood and accepted, where science overrules superstition, where people work together instead of against each other.
The resolution of conflicts on Star Trek was never easy. Don’t remain aloof –vote! We have heard people say they will vote Green or Libertarian or not at all because the two major candidates are equally flawed. That is both illogical and inaccurate. Either Secretary Clinton or Mr. Trump will occupy the White House. One is an amateur with a contemptuous ignorance of national laws and international realities, while the other has devoted her life to public service, and has deep and valuable experience with the proven ability to work with Congress to pass desperately needed legislation. If, as some say, the government is broken, a protest vote will not fix it.
Have you just turned 18? Have you moved? Have you never voted before? Some states have early registration (early October) and/or absentee ballots. You can’t vote if you are not registered. So make it so. Go tohttps://www.rockthevote.com , a non-profit, non-partisan organization, and fulfill your civic duty. Because, damn it, you are a citizen of the USA, with an obligation to take part in our democracy! Do this not merely for yourself but for all the generations that follow. Vote for a future of enlightenment and inclusion, a future that will someday lead us to the stars.

Walker Might Still Face Charges From John Doe Investigation

When The Guardian released previously unseen emails stemming from the John Doe investigation into Scott Walker, it revealed just how corrupted the system in Wisconsin really is.

While it looked like Walker might have gotten off the hook, thanks to the flood of money coming in from his dark money masters, he might still be facing charges.

Via our friends at the Center for Media and Democracy's PR Watch, we learn that Wisconsin Democrats have sent a seven-page letter to Dane County District Attorney Ismael Ozanne, asking him to investigate Walker again for possible charges such as soliciting and accepting corporate monies, ethics laws and misconduct in public office.

While this is enough to cause one to hope against all hope that Walker might finally be held accountable for some of his egregious misdeeds and crimes, I am concerned that the Democrats made a serious miscalculation.

Even if Ozanne finds sufficient cause to file charges and even if Walker and company are found guilty, Walker and his dark money masters would only continue to appeal the case all the way to the state supreme court, which we already know to be as corrupt as corporately-controlled as Walker and the other Republicans. This kangaroo court would only summarily overturn the case without even a most rudimentary glance at the mountain of evidence, as they have doe before.

The Democrats would be smart to hedge their bets by sending another letter to the US Attorney's office, asking them to also investigate Walker for violations of federal laws. After all, the feds were the ones that finally indicted and convicted Blago for similar crimes.

But either way, Walker might just want to set up another legal defense, err, legal cooperation fund before he goes even deeper in debt.

And who knows, we might still get to see the image many Wisconsinites have been waiting many long years for...Walker in handcuff:

Luther "The Muffin Man" Olsen

By Jeff Simpson

Many people who have been paying attention, have seen in the news that the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, WI has had numerous, horrific problems.

KING, Wisconsin — Walter Sundling wanted to live at the Wisconsin Veterans Home at King.
Held captive by the Nazis during World War II after his plane was shot down over Germany, the 90-year-old Air Force veteran was healthy when he asked to move to the community surrounded by southern pines he visited as a child. He had his own apartment at an assisted living facility in Madison, but wanted to be near others who had served their country, at the home between Stevens Point and Oshkosh.
“He said, ‘I’d love to be with veterans. I’d really like to be with my own kind and I’ve heard so many good things about King,’” said Sundling’s daughter, Sharon Blando, who lives in Milwaukee. “He was just so happy to be with the vets.”
Two years later, Blando said, the Purple Heart recipient developed gastrointestinal bleeding from untreated constipation. Two heart attacks followed and Sundling later died, the result, Blando claims, of widespread neglect at Wisconsin’s largest state-run, skilled nursing facility. Despite her father’s advanced age, Blando believes abysmal care at King expedited his death last year.
A decorated veteran and war hero survived being captured by the Nazi's but could not survive the lack of governing done by Scott Walker and his fellow GOP.   This unfortunately is not an isolated incident:

Sundling’s story is consistent with what current and former King employees, residents and family members say is a much larger problem: Elderly and over-medicated veterans with complex combinations of physical and mental ailments are not receiving adequate care at King, even as the state brings in millions more each year than it spends to care for its residents, transferring the surplus elsewhere.

For those of you scoring at home, the state is getting more than enough money to care for our veterans and heroes but the Walker administration has decided to give them the minimal amount of care and use the money for other things in WI(like sending 45 Wisconsin State Troopers to the Republican Convention).

Who are we neglecting so we can pay bonuses to the loyal Walkerites?

According to King’s internal census report for April 2016, there are 682 residents, 545 men and 149 women. The average length of stay is 4.3 years and the average age is 80. The majority of King residents — 480, or 69.26 percent of the total population — pay for their stay with Medicaid.
Half of King’s residents have been diagnosed with dementia and 58 percent have been diagnosed with depression or anxiety. Forty-nine individuals have been diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder, according to the census report, but employees say that number is likely higher because new diagnoses are not updated in the facility’s computer system after initial intake evaluations.
Of King’s veterans, 229 are from the Vietnam War era. It has 132 World War II veterans and 130 Korean War veterans, including 20 Purple Heart recipients and two prisoners of war, according to King records.

Hundreds of men and women who have served their country with pride and honor are now being neglected by our state.

This has finally caught the eye of the media, which means it has finally caught the eye of the politicians who are pretending to do something about it.  Senator Luther Olsen, whose district King falls into,  let everyone know that he means business:

"“If there are problems at King, we must shine a light on them and we do not rest until we figure out how to resolve them in a manner benefiting our veterans that demonstrates our utmost respect and gratitude for their selfless service to our great country." Senator Luther Olsen

Forgetting the fact that there is no "IF", that there are serious problems there for the moment, I want to call something else that Mr. Olsen had to say:

we do not rest until we figure out how to resolve them in a manner benefiting our veterans that demonstrates our utmost respect and gratitude for their selfless service to our great country.

Luckily, we know a little bit more about Senator Olsen and his meaning of "do not rest".....

Forced to choose between visiting a troubled veterans home or to judge a baking contest, state Sen. Luther Olsen went with his gut.
Olsen — a Ripon Republican who is in a tough re-election bid — had a conflict on his schedule for July 8, according to records obtained from his office.
He had been invited by Rep. John Nygren, a fellow Republican from Marinette, to join him on a tour of the Wisconsin Veterans Homeat King on that date. Initially, Olsen's staff said the senator was free and able to visit the facility, which is in his district.
But two weeks later Olsen begged off.
"Senator Olsen had another important obligation come up on July 8th, so unfortunately Senator Olsen will not be in attendance for the Nygren tour of King,"Shelby Lemke, legislative assistant to Olsen, wrote to a Nygren staffer.
What could be more important than getting a firsthand look at the conditions at the King veterans home, which is now the subject of a legislative audit because of the problems there?
The Junior Bake-Off Contest at the Lodi Agricultural Fair.
Olsen was one of four judges evaluating cookies, sweet bars and tart pies made by children of all ages using primarily Wisconsin-grown or produced ingredients. He hasfive photos of the event on his Facebook page, including one showing he was accompanied by two of his legislative staffers on that Friday afternoon.

Yes Senator Olsen meant he would not rest, as soon as he had enough baked goods.   Judging a cookie contest is much more important than making sure our heroes spend their remaining time in comfort and dignity like they deserve.

But wait there's more.......no regrets!

But Olsen made clear he was glad he went to the Lodi festival, calling it standard fare — or fair? — for politicians to go to such events in "campaign season." He said he enjoyed trying out the treats and interacting with the kids during the hour he spent as a judge.

There is campaigning to be done.   The veterans have waited this long to get adequate care, whats a few more weeks?

The disgrace and complete lack of respect that Luther Olsen shows our heroes is mind numbing.

Luckily, there is an alternative this year!

Waupaca Mayor Brian Smith has decided that his district needs some real leadership and representation so he has thrown his hat into the ring to be the next Senator from the 14th Senate district of WI!

Head to his website here, and Facebook page here.   Throw him a couple of bucks, make some phone calls or knock on doors for Mr. Smith and I promise you Wisconsin will be a better place when we swear Brain Smith in as the newest Senator for the fightin' 14th!

Let's send Luther "The Muffin Man" Olsen back to the kitchen permanently!

Bizarro World - Part 3("Reality" Stars)!

By Jeff Simpson

In what has unfortunately been a continuing series of strange, end of times ridiculous actions done by , the hits keep on coming.
our politicians

First off, the lumberjack reality star from Northern Wisconsin has found out something that no one else knows in the country.   Hillary Clinton's top aide, Huma Abedin, is part of an organization called the Muslim Brotherhood.

Maybe we should listen to Mr. Duffy though, because if he was able to find a mail order college like he did to "earn" his law degree(the college of which is no longer in business), then maybe he does have some super sleuth abilities that compare to his ability to have kids.   No one should question that the Wausau area is the hotbed of terrorism intel, so when Mr Duffy speaks we should laugh, I mean listen.

Secondly, another of Wisconsin's own, recently got into a battle with Governor John Kasich.

In this corner is the current Governor of Ohio, failed GOP Presidential candidate who is known for blaming all of the problems in public education today on the teachers lounge(seriously)!  Standing at 5'9", weighing 175 lbs.....JOOOOOHNNNN   KAAAAAASSSSICCCCHHHHHH:

Kasich, the Ohio governor, has refused to endorse Trump, the Republican nominee, after bowing out of the presidential race in early May.
"Thankfully, there are still leaders in this country who put principles before politics," Weaver wrote. "Throughout his life, Governor John Kasich has always made decisions based on what is best for our country. The idea of a greater purpose beyond oneself may be alien to political party bosses like Reince Priebus, but it is at the center of everything Governor Kasich does."
"He will not be bullied by a Kenosha political operative that is unable to stand up for core principles or beliefs," he continued, naming Priebus' hometown in Wisconsin. "In fact, Reince should be thanking the governor for standing for an inclusive, conservative vision that can actually win a national election and improve our country."
Weaver added that Kasich is "traveling the nation" to support down-ballot Republicans who could be the victim of a "potential national wipeout" that he said would occur "on Reince's watch."
In the bright bright red corner, standing 5'4" and weighing in at at 145#'s, the Voter cager from Kenosha, the political operative from Pleasant Prairie, the race baiter from Randal, the guy who refuses to walk his own dog(honestly), REEEEEEEIINNCE PRRRRRIIIIIEEEEEBUSSSSSSSSSS:

During a Sunday interview CBS's "Face the Nation," Priebus said Trump's former primary challengers might face trouble in 2020 or 2024 if they did not announce their support for Trump.
"Those people need to get on board," he said. "And if they're thinking they're going to run again someday, I think that we're going to evaluate the process — of the nomination process — and I don't think it's going to be that easy for them."
Kasich, along with Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, has prominently refused to endorse Trump since he wrapped up the party's nomination in May. Priebus said the party would "look at" potential penalties for those who have not endorsed Trump and are considering a future presidential bid. Every GOP presidential hopeful signed a loyalty pledge last summer stating they would support the eventual nominee no matter who it was.
"People in our party are talking about what we're going to do about this. I mean, there's a ballot access issue in South Carolina," Priebus said. "In order to be on the ballot in South Carolina, you actually have to pledge your support to the nominee, no matter who that person is. So what's the penalty for that? It's not a threat, but that's just the question that we have a process in place.
If you are keeping score in our  Constitutionally limited representative democratic republic, it looks like we are all losing, but Reince today came down with what just might be the final blow on CNN:

Yes your eyes are not deceiving you.   The head of the Republican Party of the United States, did actually say that the GOP Presidential candidate, one of two people who have a chance to actually become the next President of the United States of America, the most powerful job in the world, is prepared because he has been through 14 seasons as a TV "reality star".

Head meet desk!

Mike Gallagher's Foreign Policy Fail

By Jeff Simpson

One of the biggest national races this November is the 8th congressional District in Wisconsin.  Far right Freedom Caucus member Reid Ribble, has decided not to run for re-election so  it is a wide open race.

The Republican nominee, who won a primary handily, is Mike Gallagher. The New York born Gallagher joined the Marines after college and has also earned his Doctorate.

Very impressive individual, until(as Capper says, there is more, there is always more), and take a quick peak at his resume.   There is a huge gaping blemish on it.

Scott Walker's Foreign Policy Advisor - Mike Gallagher
(reported by Politico's Darren Samuelsohn on Feb. 18, 2015; start early March)
Professional staff member at the Senate Foreign Relations Committee from Aug. 2013.  Captain in the U.S. Marines Corps, June 2006-Aug. 2013.  M.A. in government (2013) and M.A. in security studies (2012) from Georgetown University; M.S. in strategic intelligence from National Intelligence University (2010); B.A. in international relations and affairs from Princeton University, 2006.

I know it was short moment in time, but a quick refresher, Scott Walker has been running for President his whole life and when he "officially" announced a run for President, he ended up officially running for President for approximately 3 months, where he spent over $7,000,000 and ended up with a whopping 0% approval from GOP primary voters.

A big part of his epic crash and burn in the Presidential primary was his foreign policy stances.   The first was when asked about Syria, let everyone know he had no problem sending troops in.  Of course not his kids, but yours.  Most of us have seen that play out poorly before so we were left scratching our heads that Scott Walker has not learned any lessons from the past.

The second was probably the most ridiculous thing said, in a season of ridiculousness, that made even the most die hard supporters surprised.   Donald Trump was gaining traction by telling everyone as President, he would build a wall on the Mexican border.  Ever the opportunist, Scott Walker was going to out wall The Donald and said he would be willing to wall off Mexico and (You can not make this stuff up) Canada.

So the candidate, who was probably the biggest foreign policy failure and quite possibly the most ridiculous foreign policy proposal in the history of our great country, has sent his foreign policy adviser to run for Congress.    Bizarro land!

Luckily, the people of the 8th Congressional District have a sound choice in Tom Nelson.   Nelson is former majority leader in Madison, and current Outagamie County Executive.   Nelson is running fr Congress trying to make sure the people of the 8th Congressional District get actual representation for a change.

Now is the time to help Mr. Nelson out.  Head to his Facebook page and his website and send him a couple dollars or go volunteer some time knocking doors for him.

Congressman Nelson has a very nice ring to it!

Racism Is Boiling Up All Over Society

Seattle Mariners catcher Steve Clevenger, saw what was going on in Charlotte, NC after a black man reading a book was shot and killed by local law enforcement and tweeted this out:

It is nice that Mr. Clevenger has his baby daughter overlooking these tweets....but that is another story.  After these tweets, the sportswriters in the country(who have never been afraid to jump on their high horse), started calling for the immediate release of Mr. Clevenger.

Personally, I find what Steve Clevenger tweeted to be deplorable, BUT I do not think that he should be "immediately released".   Having a stupid, racist beliefs and opinion should not get one fired, it also should not make you the Republican nominee for President but that is also another story.

Recently,  prominent columnist from the Chicago Tribune, Steve Kass, wrote basically the same thing as Clevenger's tweets in long form, in a recent column.

No one has called for Kass to be fired, as a matter of fact, our friends at Right Wisconsin, gleefully reposted it!

“And by shootings I don’t mean thugs shooting off guns in the air. I mean shootings where bullets pierce human skin, destroying flesh, bones, organs and lives,” wrote Kass. “On average, 12 people are shot in Chicago every day.”As comedian Larry Wilmore pointed out in 2015, “thug” is the word conservatives use now that they’ve realized that “ni**er” is out-of-bounds.
Furthermore, he resists calling black men “men,” but continually refers to them as “boys.” This echoes a racist means of dishonoring and dehumanizing black men —calling them, no matter their age, “boy.”But Kass doesn’t even attempt to cloak his disdain for the black community and what he perceives as the damage done by our country instituting a social safety net half a century ago.
“The shooters, these feral young men, aren’t an accident,” wrote Kass, using the word “feral” a second time — a word generally reserved for stray dogs, cats and other animals. “They are the direct product of the Democratic welfare state that helped destroy families. The government became the father, the fathers became irrelevant or were driven off, and black families that had withstood decades of Jim Crow segregation began to collapse. And that was generations ago.”
Kass’ argument here is essentially that black people are lazy and Democrats and liberals want to give them “free stuff” — another favorite conservative trope. African-Americans, they say, have latched on to the welfare system an alternative to work.
“Now, there aren’t enough jobs for unskilled labor,” he moans, as if black workers are incapable of any other kind.

As someone who believes in Restorative Justice, and not punitive justice, releasing him would not solve or educate anyone in this instance.  Maybe the Mariners could mandate that he spend a day with Nigel Hayes, and make sure John Kass joins him,
