Two Bright Rays of Hope for the Monarchs

The story is at MCF.

Summary: The County Board's Committee on Economic and Community Development tabled the vote, for now. The UWM faculty senate voted down the master plan, finding it lacking.

But the fight goes on.

  1. If the sale is not approved, the County loses a few million from its operating budget (the revenue was added - a policy you earlier decried - by the Board), meaning a deficit, meaning cuts.

  2. You're right that cutting those millions would lead to a deficit.

That's why I included options in the MCF post that would not only fill the hole, but bring in more than the sale of the county grounds could, even if sold at fair market value, instead of at 33% of said value.
