Paul Ryan's Ever Shrinking Nut Sack

By Jeff Simpson

Congressman Luis V. GutiĆ©rrez (D-IL) asked for a meeting with Acting Director Thomas Homan of ICE in the US Capitol.     It was originally scheduled for Tuesday of this week and postponed for this morning.   When Rep. Guttierrez showed up he was greeted with a first in his more than 20 year career.   Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wall St.) kicked him out of the meeting!

The following is a statement by Rep. Luis V. GutiĆ©rrez, who is a Member of the House Judiciary Committee and the Subcommittee on Immigration and Border Security and the Chairman of the CHC Taskforce on Immigration.  He represents the 4th District of Illinois and is starting his 13th term. In 20-plus years, I have never heard of the Republicans controlling what meetings Democrats can have with officials of the Executive Branch and never had a staffer ask me to leave a meeting to which I am entitled to attend.  My constituents have questions about who is being targeted by ICE, which DREAMers with DACA they are targeting for deportation, which victims of domestic violence ICE is deporting, which immigrants at church shelters are being targeted.  We know the statements by Trump about targeting criminals is a lie, but we were hoping someone could give us the truth or any information at all.  The new mass deportation executive orders are unprecedented, but so are the lengths to which the Speaker and Chairman Goodlatte are going to control the information being disseminated to Members of Congress.  I expect such dictatorial shenanigans from the Trump Administration, but not from competent, compassionate legislators like Speaker Ryan or from legislators like Bob Goodlatte.  Do they have ear pieces feeding them orders from President Bannon or the others making decisions in the White House?  Speaker Ryan is not an emperor and does not control who I meet with.  My colleagues and I asked for this meeting and we still have not been given details by ICE about who they are deporting, why, and how.  We simply have hit a stone wall and now Republicans in the House are cooperating in limiting the information that we can provide to our constituents.

Yes the pride of Janesville, will not even allow democratically elected members of the opposing party to hear information, much less question him.

biggest. fake. ever!

Paul Ryan - Where Are You?

Image result for ryan solen '

By Jeff Simpson

Ryan Solen is the Democratic candidate for the 1st Congressional District in Wisconsin.  He is challenging some guy you may have heard of  - Paul Ryan (R-Wall St.).    However, Mr. Ryan who is currently the Speaker of the House(the third most powerful position in America), is ducking the debate.

While its an overplayed cliche, there is some ring of truth to it in terms of if you can't stand up to your political opponent in a moderated debate, how can you possible stand up to ISIS.

Ryan Solen has done all the leg work for a debate to happen from setting the time, securing the venue, etc.... now all he needs is Paul Ryan to actually respect the people of the 1st Congressional district and show up!

The following invite was delivered to Mr. Ryan's office recently:

                                                                                                                          October 18, 2016

Dear Mr. Speaker,

My name is Ryan Solen and I am your Democratic opponent. I have been attempting to contact you since we each won our primaries in August as I would like to engage with you in that great American campaign tradition: a debate. I have decided to make it easy for you and have set one up. All you need to do is attend.

I have booked Blackhawk Technical College, located in your hometown of Janesville at 6004 South County Road G, for October 29 from 2PM to 4PM. The room holds up to 250 people and will be open to the public. Mike Daly, host of the Daly Show on WBEL “The Big AM” 1380 is set to moderate and the station will broadcast the debate live. Additional media will be invited and may broadcast or record the event. I will be happy to meet with you or your representative ahead of time to discuss the debate format.

Please RSVP by October 28 at 5PM, the day before the debate. I know you are very busy and I want to give you plenty of time to get your schedule set to include this debate. You can contact my Chief of Staff, Lauren Young, to RSVP by phone at 404-788-8096 or by email at lyoung@solenforcongress.com.

Looking forward to a great debate with you!

Sincerely,

Ryan Solen

Let's hope that Mr. Ryan has the respect for our democratic process to show up and debate.

In the meantime, Mr. Solen can use some help.   Send him a few bucks or a couple hours of your time.   You can reach him via his facebook page or his website!   Watch his Wisconsin Eye interview here.

My name is Ryan Solen. I am a husband, father of four children as well as an Iraq war veteran, and former Army officer. I am well versed in how to get tasks accomplished, regardless of who I may be working with. At one point in my life, I swore an oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States. That oath has not changed, nor has it expired. I am more concerned with what is right than what will get me re-elected. I made a commitment that I would not accept funds from corporations, organizations, or PACs. Votes are not to be bought. They should be earned. I believe our leadership and our representatives should be held to a higher standard. Some of the things that I believe will help us the most:
• Balance the budget and pay-off the national debt to put the ~$260 Billion in interest payments to better use.
• Universal health care to ensure a healthy and productive population.
• Investment in our crumbling infrastructure.
• Reform university tuition and student loan regulations.
• Revise and simplify the tax code.
• Protect Social Security; raise the taxable income cap on it, and prevent any privatization of the system.
• Strict term limits on the Senate and the House of Representatives.

A Tale of Two Pauls

By Jeff Simpson

Republican Presidential nominee Donald Trump was in Green Bay on Friday, where he rad off a prepared statement his undying love for Paul Ryan.

After tweeting a quick thank you to Paul Ryan's challenger, Paul Nehlen, Reince and his thugs put so much pressure on Donald Trump to make sure the democratic process was not allowed to play out within the Republican party.

The irony of course was not lost on observers as they noticed it was mandatory that Trump endorse Paul Ryan, while Ryan, Scott Walker and Ron Johnson(and most other Republicans in WI), were busy washing their hair and refused to attend.

At least Reince and Rocky Suhayda are on the exact same page this election!

As I have pointed out, the Right is running scared, and desperate to keep the career politician from having to find an actual job.   It has even led Jimmy Wigderson to care about racism and bigotry for the first time in his life!

However, for every crazy thing Paul Nehlen says, Paul Ryan has "Trumped" him.  Paul Nehlen wants to discuss deporting Muslims and Paul Ryan wants to kill me.   Paul Nehlen is worried that ISIS is crossing our open borders, Paul Ryan ran a meeting the day President Obama was inaugurated, to come up with the plan to obstruct every thing he planned on doing, no matter how small, thus doing ISIS work for them.

The reality is, while Paul Nehlen has always backed Mr. Trump, so has Paul Ryan.   When Mr. Trump spoke in Green Bay, Mr. Nehlen tried to attend and the WISGOP actually kicked him out(let that sink in for a minute).   Which is really surprising since Mr. Nehlen is Caucasian!

That brought to a total of one, that was kicked out of the Trump event(the crime being participating in our democratic process).   Let's take a look at a couple of people who made it in with no problems!

                                        #thot #thathooverthere

Hillary Clinton is Satan and Trump is here for the cure.

If only Hillary's husband had violently murdered her.   This guy follows Trump all over the US, and has zero problems getting into his events.

The Trump Rallies are very inclusive of hate, fear and violence!

August 9th is OUR opportunity to send Paul Ryan to the unemployment line, like he has sent so many others in his district too.    Democrats in the Congressional District 1 can make a huge difference in the future of our country by crossing over and voting against Paul Ryan and voting for Paul Nehlen!

The Cowardly Ryan

The biggest problem is the cowardly Ryan is currently the Ringmaster.

By Jeff Simpson

Paul Ryan has had a rough 2016.   Ryan has went from mega rich under the radar career politician, to Speaker of the House for the Republicans, to being completely shamed by the Republican nominee for for President, Donald Trump.

The problem with Paul Ryan's year/career can be pointed out in one glowing example.

A.  After FBI Director James Comey, strangely, held a press conference to say, he would not be bringing charges against Hillary Clinton over her email problems.   Big Government Paul Ryan (R-Wall St.) has decided he has seen all of the evidence he needs (the D behind her name) and wrote a letter to the Director of National Intelligence and ask that Secretary Clinton's access to classified information be revoked.

The letter can be read here.

B.  Now fast forward to July 28 and we see a completely different Paul Ryan.  One who is not so interested in holding up the Constitution or Rule of Law when  certain other people (anyone with an R after their name) break it.

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said he hoped Russian hackers would be able to find missing emails from competitor Hillary Clinton’s personal email server.Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you find the 33,000 emails that are missing. I think you’ll be rewarded mightily by our press!” Trump said during a news conference Wednesday.

Speaker Ryan recently called out Donald Trump for being a racist, but textbook racism did not seem to bother Mr. Ryan as he still strongly supports The Donald for President.

Surely, borderline treason will cause Paul Ryan to pause right?  Not so much!

Almost as soon as Mr. Trump spoke, other Republicans raced in to try to reframe his remarks and argue that Russia should be punished. A spokesman for Speaker Paul D. Ryan termed Russia “a global menace led by a devious thug.” The spokesman, Brendan Buck, added: “Putin should stay out of this election.”

A spokesman pointing a finger at Putin and completely ignoring The Donald's role in this is hardly courageous.

In case you were wondering, The Donald will soon start receiving national security briefings.   I wonder if Mr. Ryan will call for an end to that(I am kidding, I know the answer)?

On this very day, Paul Ryan released a new campaign ad, laughingly called integrity. because he has a primary battle against a real conservative - Paul Nehlen.

The one real moment is where Mr. Ryan is praying.  Luckily at Cogdis we got an inside tip that Mr. Ryan is praying that people keep focused on the The Donald sideshow and not look at the incompetent circus he is running from the main stage!

Support Paul Nehlen August 9th!

Paul Ryan's Obedience

By Jeff Simpson

When people show you who they are, believe them.” Dr. Maya Angelou

Paul Ryan just endorsed this!

I know Paul Ryan thinks he is making a big statement by delaying his endorsement of Trump. But if you wait an extra hour to eat shit you still have, in fact, eaten shit.

Also some other views of the Submissive Paul Ryan (R-cowardice).

For all Ryan's talk of wanting to embrace a more open Republican Party that appeals to everybody, by endorsing Trump, he is turning a blind eye to Trump's disgusting record of racism and sexism. Sure, Ryan may argue that he'll choose a different tone than Trump, but at the end of the day, the message has been sent: Bigotry is something that can be tolerated within the GOP by its most prominent leaders. This reality will taint Ryan and the policies he pursues for a long time to come.

Esquire's Charles Pierce on Paul Ryan:

 Biggest. Fake. Ever.

Think Progress points out:

Paul Ryan left a meeting with the nation’s oldest interfaith peace organization, the Fellowship of Reconciliation,  where he promised the group that he would speak out publicly against inflammatory anti-Muslim rhetoric.  Then went and endorsed Donald Trump!
The Fellowship of Reconciliation has been one of several groups monitoring the impact of Trump’s rhetoric about not only Muslims and refugees, but Latinos and other people of color. Both they and other human rights groups have observed a spike in threats, harassment, vandalism, and physical violence directly inspired by Trump’s words.
“Words matter, and this narrative of fear and hate has a visceral and dangerous impact,” said Grimes. “We are seeing a quantifiable increase in violent attacks on places of worship and people perceived to be foreign.”
Ryan, who has for the past few years has chastised his own party for driving away people of color, including nothing in his written endorsement of Trump about racial and religious tolerance.

Paul Ryan Buries His Head In The Sand!

By Jeff Simpson

Paul Ryan (R-Wall St.), who ducked debates two years ago, and Rob Zerban finally got together to debate last night.

The highlight of the debate that is making national news, is this statement by Paul Ryan (R-Bankster Bailout):

“I don’t know the answer to that question,” Ryan said. “I don’t think science does, either.”  Ryan also said efforts to combat climate change are costly and unproven, a popular position among the Republican base he will need should he seek the GOP’s presidential nomination in 2016.
The interesting thing here is that earlier, Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel gave a speech on a Pentagon report:

AREQUIPA, Peru - Rising sea levels and other effects of climate change will pose major challenges for America's military, including more and worse natural disasters and the threat that food and water shortages could fuel disputes and instability around the world, Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel said Monday. Addressing a conference of military leaders as the Pentagon released a new report on the issue, Hagel said, "Our militaries' readiness could be tested, and our capabilities could be stressed."
U.S. military officials have long warned that changes in climate patterns, resulting in increased severe weather events and coastal flooding, will have a broad and costly impact on the Defense Department's ability to protect the nation and respond to natural and humanitarian disasters in the United States and around the globe.
The new report - described as a Pentagon roadmap - identifies four things that it says will affect the U.S. military: rising global temperatures, changing precipitation patterns, more extreme weather and rising sea levels. It calls on the department and the military services to identify more specific concerns, including possible effects on the more than 7,000 bases and facilities, and to start putting plans in place to deal with them.
Of course a republican with Presidential dreams does not have time to listen to the military leaders.    If he would have stopped voting to end Obamacare at say just 50 times though(instead of the 54 times they actually have), then maybe he would have had time to read a report from NASA.

A cloud of methane gas about the size of Delaware was detected over the Four Corners area of the American southwest years ago. The readings were so unusually high that NASA scientists dismissed them. A new study confirms the methane hotspot is real.
 .....
Methane gas is the most potent of the so-called “greenhouse gases” that trap the Earth’s heat and contribute to global climate change. Carbon dioxide, another greenhouse gas, is far more plentiful in the atmosphere, but methane is about 80 percent more efficient at trapping heat than carbon dioxide, according to an article on The Atlantic’s CityLab website.
....
The source of the methane is believed to be extensive coal-mining activity in the San Juan Basin, according to Eric Kort, a professor of Atmospheric, Oceanic and Space Sciences at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and lead author of the study. He calls the Basin “the most active coalbed methane production area in the country.”
The study shows that there were 0.59 million metric tons of methane released every year during the period 2003-2009, 3.5 times more than earlier estimates.
We know that Mr. Ryan, can not continue to hold republican Presidential ambitions and embrace science, so maybe he could actually pay attention to the Pope for a change!

Speaking to a massive crowd in Rome, the first Argentinian pope delivered a short address in which he argued that respect for the “beauty of nature and the grandeur of the cosmos” is a Christian value, noting that failure to care for the planet risks apocalyptic consequences.
“Safeguard Creation,” he said. “Because if we destroy Creation, Creation will destroy us! Never forget this!”
Unfortunately for the people in the first district of Wisconsin, Paul Ryan has a long history of making up his own facts

Time to send Paul Ryan(R career politician) into the land of lobbyists and out of our Government!

ELECT ROB ZERBAN!

Paul Ryan Has No Spine for A Debate

JSONLINE recently retained the services of some local bloggers on "both sides" and dubbed it the purple project.  It has really turned into a pretty red project with just more opportunity to push the WPRI agenda for free.

I have a hard time taking any project seriously that includes Christian Schneider.  Schneider does not take himself seriously so why should anyone else?  This however is about the one righty blogger of this group that I actually like and how ridiculously bad his most recent post is!

In his post, Rodriguez tries to give Paul Ryan (R-Wall St.) cover for ducking debates with his challenger Rob Zerban!  Aaron also fails miserably, let's take a look.

Described by many pundits as the top intellectual mind of the Republican Party, Ryan excels in economic and fiscal policies. He’s a policy wonk for sure, but also possesses the finesse to communicate his ideas in a relatable format.

Granted, thebar is not very high, however, outside of schneider(who once compared Paul Ryan to Batman, no kidding), and Rodriguez you would be hard find to find "many" more people to describe Paul that way, especially since his convention speech.   You will however find "many" who would call Paul ryan a fraud(27,900,000 google matches to be exact).  From Chuck Schumer, to Paul Krugman to Bill Maher and many others.

But Ryan’s ideas and voting record are now the subject to national scrutiny by journalists, bloggers, economists, think tank analysts, and partisan advocacy organizations. What can a debate with an untested county supervisor add to the national discussion?

Umm Aaron, Paul ryan is also running to be congressman from the 1st Congressional District of Wisconsin.   Ryan understands that his prospects of becoming VP are not looking good, so he hedged his bets and bought $2,000,000 worth of ad buys.   So he must feel the need to get his "message" out to the voters of the First Congressional District.   WHat is $2 MILLION dollar ad buy going to ad to the "national debate"?

Ryan has not been timid about his views on pretty much anything from entitlement spending to tax reform. For years, Ryan has sounded the fiscal alarm, introducing multiple budgetary plans that sought to reform third rail issues like Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security.
Yes Ryan loves to talk about his "views" on almost anything, as long as he can control the debate and the questions.  If he does at least he understands his weakness and refuses to ever answer a question from someone who he does not know!

We have seen Paul in action over and over have complete disdain for his constituents who want to ask him a question.    When is the last time you saw paul on anything that was less than extremely friendly to him?   I have been trying for over a year to get an interview with him.

If Ryan refuses a debate Rob Zerban, it’s not because he’s ducking a challenge by a formidable opponent. It’s because the debate is unnecessary. Debates tend to prove two things: who has the better ideas and who is better at communicating them. Fortunately for Ryan, he has skills in both areas.
The problem here is, that Aaron just does not live reality.   Here is a quick exchange betweenRyan and some reporters that you have seen over and over and over again:

Ryan declined to address Obama's charge that he was among House Republicans "standing in the way" of legislation designed to help the drought-stricken heartland. He said only that he would get into "those policy things later."
"Right now I just want to enjoy the fair," he said.
Mr. Transparency and exchange of ideas!

Even if Zerban were a quick study and proficient at communicating, the debate would likely be a wash. If he’s not particularly adroit, he’ll last about as long with Ryan as a balloon in a room full of kittens.
Yes it is very hard to debate this logic:

Critics of Mitt Romney's tax reform plan say his proposal leaves out too many details, but Paul Ryan, the Republican presidential nominee's running mate, says keeping the proposal vague gives it the best chance for passage through Congress.

During an interview with Christian Broadcasting Network's David Brody, Ryan said Romney is following Ronald Reagan's playbook by not divulging the details about what specific tax loopholes he would close and the rates that would be set under his administration. Ryan said the reason is "because we want to get it done."

It does take a lot of balls to tell people we will not tell you what your plan is as a politician UNTIL your elected.  The "just trust me" approach, has a hard time working with someone who is a well known liar!

So to wrap up, let's be perfectly clear.  Paul Ryan (R-Ayn Rand), is ducking a debate with Rob Zerban because he is scared of losing his Congressional seat.  Paul Ryan enjoys the wonders of a government paycheck every week.

Please sign the petition telling Paul Ryan to debate Rob Zerban!!

Help Rob Zerban retire Paul Ryan
