KUSD + AFPWI = WTF?

By Jeff Simpson

The other day we brought you the story of how the right wing extremist hate group, Knot My Wisconsin, is involved in the Kenosha Unified School District's School Board race.   They are so involved that one of the candidates, Dan Wade, is actually Kristi Lacroix's father-in-law(Kristy is one of the main "knotsies").

That is fine, in our democratic republic, anyone with enough signatures is allowed to run and the more people who participate the better.  I just think it is important to know who these people are, since the pattern is the farther right someone is the more they tout their "independence".   However it is up to the people of Kenosha to do their homework and research and NOT vote people like this into office.

However, no we have a very very troubling trend in Kenosha that will soon be spilling over to other districts  -  outside money!   This is not just any outside money, or outside money from a college roommate, etc...  This dirty money comes right from the despicable Koch Brothers and comes in the form of their incredibly dishonest and morally bankrupt front group - Americans for Prosperity

Americans for Prosperity — the conservative group funded by billionaire brothers Charles and David Koch — is getting involved with the Kenosha Unified School Board race.
David Fladeboe, state director of Americans for Prosperity, said the organization has a field team working on the race, doing phone banks and canvassing in the district.
“We’re getting a feel for what the people in Kenosha are thinking and doing,” Fladeboe said. “Right now we’re doing phone surveys to figure out where people are on a number of issues.”
Four candidates are running for two seats on the School Board. Incumbent Jo Ann Taube hopes to return to the board. Also running are Mike Falkofske, Gary Kunich and Dan Wade.
Fladeboe said Americans for Prosperity is not specifically supporting any candidate. But he said the group decided to become involved in the race due to the board’s approval of new union contracts.
Taube voted to approve the contracts and is endorsed by the Kenosha Education Association, as is Falkofske. Kunich and Wade have been vocal in their opposition to the contracts and have been endorsed by the local Republican Party.
“We’ll have a team working to get out the vote,” Fladeboe said.

We know that "not specifically supporting any candidates" is a flat out LIE from Mr. Fladboe.  When Vicki Mckenna runs a fundraiser for you it does not take a rocket scientist to figure out who the candidates are that AFP-WI is campaigning for.

As Jay Heck of Common cause says:

Jay Heck, executive director of Common Cause, a Wisconsin campaign spending watchdog group, said Americans for Prosperity and other political organizations have become increasingly involved in local elections in the state, specifically in northern Wisconsin where the group has gone after opponents of a proposed iron ore mine.

But he said he had not heard of the group being involved in school board races in the state.

He called the development “very, very alarming.”

Mr. Heck goes on to add:

He said it appears to be part of an arms race in campaign spending that is seeking to have a greater influence on public policy.
“It’s a new trend. It’s now in virtually every competitive congressional and legislative race, but now it’s county supervisors and city council members. And now school board members down in Kenosha,” Heck said. “It’s the nationalization of state and local politics in Wisconsin.

Want to know more about the Charles and David Koch, the out of state billionaires that want to influence your election?   check them out here, here and here!

As for their front group - Americans for Prosperity - They just got busted for lying about Obamacare.

Is this the kind of group you want picking candidates for you?  Is allowing people this deceptive and morally bankrupt to influence your elections, what kind of message does this send to your children?    I also promise you that if you allow groups like AFP to start picking your School board candidates, they will NOT stop there.  They will work on influencing other school board races, and local elections, etc...

Stop them NOW!!    Tell the out of state billionaire's to stay out of our schools.   You know they do not care a bit about your children!

Vote FOR  Jo Ann Taube and Mike Falkofske!

Kenosha Apocalypse

By Jeff Simpson

The Kenosha Unified School District has an important school board election coming up.

One of the candidates is actually unelected union boss, Kristy LaCroix's father(Dan Wade)  and to make matters worse, they recently had a fundraiser where they brought in Hate radio's own shock jock Vicki Mckenna.

Who in the world would think it is a good idea to have one of the Knotsies as a school board member?   Who are the knotsies?  A very small fringe of unintelligent hate mongering hard core Scott Walker supporters.   They have no interest what so ever in making Wisconsin a better place or the Kenosha District a better school district.   They care about breaking the unions, pushing an agenda and growing their crush on Scott Walker.    The other thing about them, they are also cowards because no one will claim membership.

Luckily for us, and the people of Kenosha, they are not that smart so we can help show who these cowards are.

To the people of the Kenosha Unified School District, I promise you, that if you mess around and elect one of these people you will instantly regret it.  The damage they will do will be serious, long lasting and devastating to the kids.

Its up to you Kenosha to do the right thing!

Right Wing Trolls

The past couple of months for me on Twitter has been...interesting, to say the least. If a psychologist ever needed to conduct an experiment in psychotic human behavior, all they'd need to do is read the right-wing tweets of nut job Scott Walker supporters and Knot My Wisconsin members.

I've been a regular user for a few years, but it's only gotten this bad for myself recently. It started at the end of December 2013 when I was browsing through tweets under the #wiunion hashtag. What I found among the few tweets of progressive intellectualism, were an army of Knots and various other right-wing nuts harassing Twitter users expressing progressive views. Of course, being the person I am, I engaged with one of this knuckle dragging morons and immediately I found myself becoming the target of vicious and disgusting personal attacks. I can handle that. I'm Irish and Norwegian, so I was blessed with a quick wit and smart ass attitude. I can trade barbs with the best of 'em. However, what I cannot deal with, accept or tolerate, it this:
Gee, sorry your overlord Hitler disappointed you.

Yep. This is a Scott Walker supporter telling me how much he wished Nazi's had killed all of my family back in Norway. Isn't that lovely? Hmm...can't say I ever recall a progressive saying something to this extreme. And you know, I could accept that this idiot and his right-wing ilk were just a vocal minority until I saw this tweet begging has been couple Chris and Dana Loesch, to re-tweet a hilariously ironic tweet about honoring a ww2 vet (is Tom aware that vet was fighting against fascist Hitler?)

Which of course, Chris Loesch retweeted:
Talk about "the company you keep" eh?

The attacks didn't just fizzle out after awhile. Once you're on their radar, you stay there forever. They took it above going after me. They moved onto harassing my husband and stalking our every bit of information online on a near daily basis. They managed to find out things I had no idea anyone would know, or even care about. So I have to ask - is this really who the GOP wants to have representing their party? It's safe to say, "birds of a feather flock together." These Knots pray to the alter of Charlie Sykes, Vicki McKenna and local Republican parties. Charlie Sykes certainly could never tell someone he wished Hitler slaughtered all of someone's family (though I'm sure he thinks it) so they have their Twitter orcs to do their bidding for them.

Oh yeah. They're really racist, too.

Social media is a curse and a blessing. If we needed more proof that civil discourse in America is dead, just browse through Twitter. "Debates" turn into a toxic puddle of verbal poisons lobbed back and forth. And I won't play the innocent card - I've told my fair share of people exactly where they can go, but only because they never even tried to debate me. They ignore the meat of my points and go right for personal attacks. "You're fat!" "You're ugly!" Ohh, you sure got me, guys. I guess not everyone could graduate from elementary school. And these Knots are certainly examples of what happens when you don't.

Where is Scott Walker calling on his supporters to curb the rhetoric? Does he really support something like this?
Or this:
The right-wing revels in this behavior because it whips their base into a frenzy. This is the Tea Party. This is the modern GOP. This is why they're losing supporters and elections. But really, we should just continue to let them speak. It shows the truth about what being conservative really means.

Just your average teabagger.

The Unhinged Right!

By Jeff Simpson

The republicans are losing their minds!

Nationally:

It's a bit hard to make out what the distinguished gentleman from Staten Island is saying to Scotto, but here are the key bits, courtesy of NY1:
Grimm: "Let me be clear to you, you ever do that to me again I'll throw you off this f-----g balcony."
Scotto: "Why? I just wanted to ask you..."
[[cross talk]]
Grimm: "If you ever do that to me again..."
Scotto: "Why? Why? It’s a valid question." [[cross talk]]
Grimm: "No, no, you're not man enough, you're not man enough. I'll break you in half. Like a boy."
Later, Grimm released a statement in which he failed to apologize, generally blamed the whole thing on the pesky unprofessional reporter, and sort of hinted towards more physical threats to come:
"I was extremely annoyed because I was doing NY1 a favor by rushing to do their interview in lieu of several other requests...I verbally took the reporter to task and told him off, because I expect a certain level of professionalism and respect especially when I go out of my way to do that reporter a favor. I doubt that I am the first Member of Congress to tell off a reporter, and I am certain I won't be the last."

and locally Rep. Sinicki shared this letter with us(from an anonymous coward) with us:

They are unhinged all over this country!

It leaves me trying to figure out what their 2014 campaign slogan will be:

*  Do what we say or else!

*  It wasn't me!

*  When a Republican does it ....it's not against the law!

*  LOOK ---- Over there!

*  Benghazi!

*  1814 all over again!

* We didn't gerrymander because you love us!

* The GOP path to desparity!

Let's help these guys out, what is your suggestion for the republicans 2014 campaign slogan?   They need all the help they can get!

He's Back

George Allen Wrench

By Jeff Simpson

A while ago, we exposed gnatsie Benjamin Riche as a fake profile troll on facebook going by the completely unoriginal name Allen Wrench.  As the Gnatsie's do when they get exposed to the light, they run like cowards and "allen wrench" disappeared.

Proving two rules about the Gnatsies, they have absolutely no lives and they do not have any creativity between them, Benjamin Riche is back trolling for a friend to talk to.

This time as George Allen Wrench.

Ben, baby, I still recommend a vacation.   Pay for it, you NEED it

PS:  Leave the  "I love Scott Walker" apparel at home, even the ladies at Chicken ranch have limits!

Trollidarity Squawkalong - Knot So Fast - With A Special Guest Troll!

For a while now, both Jeff and I have written about the pack of cyber-trolls that call themselves "Knot my Wisconsin."  These cowardly trolls have been trying to bully people around and has been consistently trying to put limits on people's right of free speech by filing false complaints and getting their Facebook accounts suspended.

I got my permit!
As one might imagine, people have been getting sick and tired of their boorish ways and have started fighting back.  The one way of countering these trolls which they hate the most is exposing them to the light of day.  And that has started to happen, both as a group and on individual trolls.

Now they have tried to come out into the real world, but this has not been very successful for them.  One might surmise that they have gotten so used to being trolls and feeling free to be as vulgar as they want to be behind their shrouds of anonymity and pseudonymity that they can no longer behave like humans and can not effectively cope in the real world.

Their latest venture was on Labor Day, when one of them took out an all day permit for the Capitol, following in the clawprints of fellow troll, David Blaska.  As one might suspect, this was a rather spectacular fail on their part.

Witnesses report that there was, at the most, fifteen people there at any given time, making the permit unnecessary.  And the people that did show up were the knotzies.  For the most part, they simply wandered around aimlessly and laid on things.  They did try to muster up for a few songs, but it turned out that not only could they not carry a tune, none of them could spell B-I-N-G-O or do the alphabet song without an adult to write it down.

Here are some photos taken of their adventures today:

Joanna Langworthy

Matt Lepperd in the blue t-shirt,
David Blaska in the baby puke yellow sweater

The crowd.  The woman in the gray shirt
was the only one to stand there all day.
Obviously, she had to save everyone's spot.
And it was no wonder that they had drawn such a crowd with their very special guest troll, er, star!

Yes, that is none other than squawker and Camp Randall ruffian Vicki McKenna, aka Vicki Pyzysnki.  Please note how she is proudly wearing her "Fear Knot" label.

I'm just wondering why David Blaska, McKenna or the Knotzies aren't bragging about this "event."  It's not really a secret that they are pathetic.

Addendum: Jeff Simpson has more on McThugga and her troll peer group.

Thanks Dave!

By Jeff Simpson

Yesterday, Dave Blaska, part of the new era of "conservatives", felt that the best way to petition the government was ask for their permission to do so, THEN go where and when they were told, and sing their praises! Blaska, who the news shows could not give enough airtime too, was able to prove his points perfectly!  Unfortunately for Blaska, the point he proved was not the one he was going for!

Let's start with the arrest.

Photo: This man was arrested around 3:30pm EST in the Wisconsin State Capitol for holding a sign that read, "Article 1, Section 4." The sign said that, and nothing more.

Article 1 Section 4 of the Wisconsin State Constitution reads as follows: "The right of the people peaceably to assemble, to consult for the common good, and to petition the government, or any department thereof, shall never be abridged."

Cognitive dissonance is dissonant.

This unnamed man was arrested for SILENTLY holding a sign that read simply - "Article 1, Section 4."
Not only was he alone holding the sign, the letters on the sign did not reach the 20 member threshhold.  Yet he was arrested and hauled away in handcuffs.  YEs - HAULED AWAY IN HANDCUFFS.   Proving that what gets you arrested is NOT  not getting a permit but instead saying something that the PArty Leader does not want to hear(or read).

FYI:

Article 1 Section 4 of the Wisconsin State Constitution reads as follows: "The right of the people peaceably to assemble, to consult for the common good, and to petition the government, or any department thereof, shall never be abridged."

Secondly, Blaska  tried to have radio personality Sly Sylvester arrested for asking him a simple question!

Dave how do you like your state funded pension?

See Dave Blaska is a former elected official and state worker.  You pay his pension.  YOU pay for him to be able to run around the state and do childish pranks in the name of Scott Walker.  YOU pay for him to have numerous forums to talk about how horrible it is that YOU one day will be getting a pension!   Dave has never offered to give a penny back on his state funded pension, see unlike YOU he earned his.

Apparently once you take out a permit you decide who can and can not be in the Capitol and what they will be doing.  An hour's worth of power must have been all consuming for Blaska!  It is nice that we have three police agencies spending time at the Capitol, its not like they have anything else they can be doing.    It is more important that we keep the police in Madison to make sure Scott Walker or Dave Blaska's feeling never get hurt!   It's only tax dollars, its not like they have to pay for it!

Unforrtunately, the one person NOT arrested was this republican thug!

As is the theme for this blog, BUT wait there's more:  While never being overly creative, the right decided the best way to prove a point was to sing thinly veiledracist hateful silly songs (badly I might add):

But WAIT, There's more.   It appears that Mr. Blaska was giving out twinkies to participants!  I will give Dave the benefit of the doubt in that I am sure he was making a political statement and not judging his peers.
Blaska’s event lasted about a half hour, after which he handed out Twinkies to celebrate “American resilience.”
Lets take a look at what Twinkies "celebrates", which is everything that the republican party loves!

*   Corporate greed

*   Unemployed Americans

*    Misperception and Lies from the right to push an agenda

*   Corporations giving you less for more money

*   Jobs outsourced

*   Sh*t food!

I always say that when people tell us who they are, we should listen!

Yesterday David Blaska and the modern day Wisconsin "conservatives(term used very loosely)" spoke volumes!

PS: Want to know whats wrong with Wisconsin?  Today on WKOW Wake Up Wisconsin, Blaska received about 6-10 minutes an hour of TV time, Wisconsin Ride for Kids was afforded a whole two minutes!

Nuff' Said!

Knot Courageous(at all)!

Q.  Ever wonder why the group from Knot My Wisconsin (gnatsies) work at staying anonymous?

A.  Because if this is how you act in public, you would also!

Besides it is not like he needs to ask anyone what its like to be a douche!

This is the Wisconsin that Scott Walker has brought you, these are the people that Scott Walker has empowered!

Anonymous Troll Smackdown

This is how it's done.  While Tom Diaz addresses GRight...it applies to the many trolls we deal with in Wisconsin, especially the Knotsies(nameless faceless cowards)!

Kudos to Tom Diaz - check out his blog

Allen Wrench

By Jeff Simpson

Last week, we brought you the story of Benjamin Riche, one of the many Gnatsie's in WI whose sole purpose in life is to sit behind a computer and support Scott Walker anonymously.  Riche was exposed and still tried to deny his involvement in the BS, racism, bigotry and harassment that the Knot My Wisconsin(gnatsies) crew are known for.

I recently received some information that shows that they are more annoying, immature, petty, uneducated and dangerous than I originally thought!   It seems that Mr. Riche, having no life of his own, has created multiple personalities on facebook.

Here is Riche talking to himself:

One in particular he calls himself Allen Wrench(seriously)! As you can see by perusing his profile, he even gave himself a family and calls himself a retired union ironworker(the signs of a disturbed individual).   I truly hope that Mr. Riche does not have a CCW license!

It turns out that while Mr. Riche has serious issues that need to be dealt with, he is not very creative.  Allen Wrench is his secret agent name?  That is the best he could come up with?

Considering yourself some sort of facebook secret agent is one thing, but to then try and be creative with it and fail so massively is an entirely different story.

Riche makes Maxwell Smart look like James Bond!

Cockroaches never play very well out in the bright sunlight and the more we expose them the mold of the gnatises will fade away with time.

My advice to Mr. Riche and the rest of the gnatsies....take a vacation!  I recommend Pahrump, Nevada where the Chicken Ranch is waiting for you

Seriously Benny, spend the money(or put it on your credit card and pay later)...it will be the best 15 seconds of your life and will help you realize how ridiculous your life has been up until now!

Knot Their Facebook: Part 2

About ten days ago, I shared the story of some folks on Facebook who were being harassed by emotionally stunted trolls who call themselves "Knot My Wisconsin" and are trying to silence those who would speak out against the tyranny in this state and country.

Apparently, this same group of knuckle-draggers or one like them is out to harass people opposed to the iron mining up in the Northwoods.  As one might suspect, they seem to target women, foolishly thinking them to be weaker. It looks like that they might have been off more than they can chew this time:
But now Wells says she is being targeted with similar threatening behavior from the other side. Wells' name appeared on a list of mining opponents with three other women on Facebook last week.

A man named Terry Dipper listed them on the Wisconsin Reporter's Facebook page, citing their opposition as a reason armed guards are needed at the Gogebic Taconite site.

In response to Dipper's post, Wisconsinites For Safe Mining wrote: "We have initiated a shoot on site order for the malcontents you have listed. Trespassing on a mining site = genocide."

"If you threaten to kill someone, that is a crime - that is malicious. Its horrible. Its scary," said Wells.

She and at least two of the other women, Roberta Retram and Barbara With, are now asking their local law enforcement agencies to investigate the matter criminally.

27 News exchanged Facebook messages with someone from Wisconsinites For Safe Mining on Monday about the comment, who insisted it was obvious satire. They even sent a link to a Wikipedia entry explaining what satire is.

But Wells and the other women aren't laughing.

"Its not a joke when you're threatening someone's life and you're putting a target on their head," said Wells.

Wells says the Dane County Sheriff's Office told her they will assign an investigator to look into the matter, but 27 News has not been able to confirm that yet.

The person from Wisconsinites For Safe Mining who exchanged messages with 27 News today, refused to identify themselves.
In related news, it appears that one of my favorite trolls, the one that had been going around trying to impersonate me in the Cheddarsphere is back at its old tricks.

It didn't work then, so I don't know what makes it think it will work now.

But no one has ever accused trolls, especially right wing ones, of being smart.

Knot Their Facebook

Most people who have a liberal or progressive leaning and are on Facebook have probably heard of the group called Knot My Wisconsin.  They are a group of extreme right wing nut jobs that are so fearful of the truth that they have made a gang of bullies that have learned to game the system on Facebook, getting people suspended or even completely kicked off of Facebook.

Here is a blurb of one of the stories of one of the knotsies' victims:
Yesterday, I got logged out of Facebook and when I tried to log back in, I was informed that some content posted on a political satire page, which I launched but haven’t touched in a year, violated Facebook “Community Standards” and therefore I am being banned for 24 hours. This means I can log on to Facebook (though not on my phone), check and send messages, but I cannot post anything. Shortly after, I received an email from a person with whom I ran that political satire site. He was banned from Facebook for even longer than I was. Much longer. This makes little sense unless you take the bigger picture in consideration:

There are these two women in Wisconsin. One’s name is Stephanie and the other one, we’ll refer to as “X”. They, with help from others, run some of the most popular political news Facebook pages on the left side of the political spectrum in Wisconsin. All in all, over 100,000 people reportedly follow these Facebook pages, where readers can find the latest political news about Wisconsin, and political humor (not all of it in good taste). Since the beginning of the Wisconsin Uprising in February 2011, the co-admins of these websites have been engaged in a silent warfare with the right-wing “Knots” as they are sometimes called, a group formed originally to support Governor Scott Walker during the period leading to and including the failed attempt to recall him from office. Knots, in turn accuse the left-wing Facebook site publishers of trying to do the same thing to them, which is to wipe them out of existence. The fact that both sides call the opposition “trolls” only serves to muddy the waters and to rally supporters.

What is it that these Knots do to take down progressive pages? They find ways to attach themselves to various protest sites – become fans, leave comments, share posts, become friends with the page administrators, if it all possible, and then report some or all of the content produced and shared, to Facebook claiming that this content violates Facebook’s “community standards”. Facebook asks some qualifying questions and then issues a decision, but what has become evident, is that Knots gained an upper hand by figuring out how to navigate Facebook standards in order to effectively shut down progressive news pages, affecting how tens of thousands of people receive information and communicate with each other.

All of this may seem somewhere between “someone else’s drama” and “geek warfare”, but I find the situation deeply disturbing.
And then the author goes why this is actually important:
From a distance this may seem to be nothing more than a social media tiff gone too far, easy to ignore because it’s “just Facebook”, but this would be wrong. What is happening with Facebook bans does matter, and not only because people have a right to express themselves. For better or for worse, Facebook is a private company, and from the financial point of view, it is only their stockholders who suffer from the damage caused by a group of political activists exploiting Facebook “community standards” in order to gain advantage over their political enemies. Facebook management who has to be aware of this situation, may consider it to be nothing more then cost of doing business where from their point of view the benefits of deleting most questionable content and banning users indiscriminately, is better than risking turning off the advertisers who are the ones paying the tab for the whole enterprise. Welcome to Capitalism 101, right?

However, what our political leaders need to remember is that Facebook and other social media outlets are the Grassroots and this is how the information is relayed these days. If these grassroots are damaged or disappear, at some point in a not-too-distant future, when our leaders will need the support of the people, they may not have an important opportunity to communicate, engage and motivate their supporters if pages such as “I will get more “Likes” than Scott Walker” and others, are gone.
The knotsies have attacked both my personal page and the Cog Dis fan page. I'm sure that this will inspire them to attack again. If you get a chance to read this before the knotsies attack, make sure you book mark the site and/or follow me on Twitter at @Cog_Dis. They might be able to put a temporary gag on us in one place, but they sure as hell ain't gonna shut us up.

Hey Hey, We're The Knotsies....

While there is much competition for silliest most ignorant group of right wing trolls in Wisconsin, between Citizens for a responsible government , Americans for Prosperity , Maciver , US Senator Ron Johnson and various tea parties, there is one group of republicans that stands out(even amongst that crowd) - knot my Wisconsin!

They fit the typical right hate group profile,  limited, local membership, maturity of a third grader, intelligence of a second grader, cowardly, likes to viciously attack people anonymously, takers on the system, mad at the world, well you get the drift.

Luckily for us and unluckily for the anonymous cowards, someone took the time to research them and expose who they are!

trolling is different though, in the last national election cycle we saw trolling taken to a new level as right wing groups had taken to paying individuals to sit on the computer day and night and harass people online and present false claims and information.  Some individuals have taken it upon themselves to up the stakes though and have developed tactics that take trolling even further, to something that borders on terrorism.  Here in the badger state a loose collection of such people formed under the banner of "knot my Wisconsin."  During the process that led to the recall election of Scott Walker, they began organizing themselves to impede the democratic process of recall.

They colluded together to harass people involved in the recall process online and launched attacks against elected officials as well.  Threatening violence against those people and in some cases carrying out those threats.  They killed family pets and threatened people's children. Employers and supervisors were repeatedly called in an effort to lead to termination of employment.  They organized and carried out efforts to trespass on people's property and destroy political signage.  Later they publicly posted online that they intended to beat or kill people on election day at the polls.  They likewise threatened to take carloads of people and perform drive-by shootings in largely minority neighborhoods to feloniously obstruct the election process which is key to maintaining a democracy.  Not everyone on this list of course was involved in every and all aspects of the activities listed, but they are all part of the same group.

If you want to know more about them check here, but my advice when you see them, just realize that they are little people, with little minds and ignore them.

Remember from here on out, they will known as the GNAT my Wisconsin, named after the annoying little bug! They are just an unnecessary distraction, which is truly all the potential for making a difference they ever will have.

Swat them off your sleeve!

Now let's get back to WORK!!!
