Quote Of The Day

“The essence of the Progressive movement, as I see it, lies in its purpose to uphold the fundamental principles of representative government. It expresses the hopes and desires of millions of common men and women who are willing to fight for their ideals, to take defeat if necessary, and still go on fighting.”

— Robert M. LaFollette

  1. "Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm."

"If you're going through hell, keep going."
    - Winston Churchill

I think this was after Dunkirk or the Battle for Britain. But as foolish as Churchill was domestically, still an inspiration against the NAZIs. Point is eloquence such as La Follette and Churchill help the citizenry to think, a dangerous pursuit in a democracy if like Scott Walker you work for special interests and pose as a fighter against made-up threats.

Can't offer the exact context of Churchill, but I read his statements as you're going to fuck up, so fuck up, fix it and keep fighting.
