Christian Schneider Rides To The Rescue

 By Jeff Simpson

We brought you the story of how friend of Scott Walker, Bob Westman was charged with fourth degree sexual assault for his unwanted advances on a woman at the Governors Inaugeral Ball.   Which came on the first day that the Wisconsin taxpayers were no longer paying the salary of Republican leader and sexual predator Bill Kramer.

As if right on cue, Republican insider and apologist Christian Schneider writes an op-ed explaining that if women do not let any man that wants to kiss them, kiss them, it will be the end of romance.

Apparently in Republican insider view, if only the women would do what the Republican alpha male wants, then we would not be having these problems.

Instead of taking a pull quote from Schneider's column, and because Mr. Schneider has a habit of deleting his ridiculous columns as if nothing ever happened, here it is in its scary entirety:

(Edit Note:  Because Dave Blaska felt that as few people as possible should read the blatherings of Christian Schneider, I will decided to just use a couple pull quotes.).

"Stolen sweets are always sweeter,Stolen kisses much completer"— Leigh Hunt, 1784-1859
Schneider:
Itseems like a rare situation when a woman is kissed when there's absolutely no warning whatsoever. If a man (or woman) is standing within a foot of your face, there's at least a better than 50-50 chance that they're going hunting for treasure. Unless your attempted paramour is a kissing ninja, it seems unlikely that you're going to suddenly be caught in the middle of a lip blizzard.
Apparently Mr. Schneider has never been around a Republican party.
Schneider:

Maybe it's easy to dismiss the "kissing permission" stance as merely extreme feminist ravings. But they are not alone. Last year, universities often cited a statistic that showed one in five women on campus had been sexually assaulted. But, among other problems, that number was inflated by women who had been subjected to "unwanted kissing."
Ladies, Christian Schneider knows what is best for you.  If you dont want to be kissed, then your just a stuck up ornery liberal.
Schneider:

But the unexpected kiss should remain the property of romance and not of the courts.
Free Bob Westman!

Schneider:
Or, as Robert Browning once said, "What of soul was left, I wonder, when the kissing had to stop?"
Not sure why you would insert a quote from a poem about mortality and death.

  1. If the first kiss is tried and rebuffed, one does not try for the second kiss, nor the third, nor the touch, nor the hug or feel. One rebuff and you know it's a NO. It is called common sense.

  2. Jeff, ever heard of "fair usage?" Reprinting the entire column from the Milw Journal Sentinel is NOT fair usage. You may excerpt and are encouraged to link. But you may not include in its entirety. I will be notifying the Journal Sentinel.

    1. Be sure to save this web page in its entirety and get screen grabs, David. Homer's already ripped off Wigderson to the tune of a couple hundred words, it was only a logical step for him to start stealing whole articles.

    2. "Fair use" is not as cut and dry as is suggested. There are a number of circumstances that allow for a different interpretation of "fair use". Some relate to whether the information is already in the public domain and others relate to whether the use is for profit and still others relate to educational purposes and also satire. It is not strictly the fact that the whole article was posted. So Na na na na na.

    3. Are you kidding me blaska,

Everything you write or talk about is trash.

You know what you can do with your fair usage !

    4. This is what I don't get. WHAAAA-ska's and Chrissy's entire careers are based out of using GOP officials' talking points and passing it off as their own, so why would they have a problem with Jeff properly sourcing one if Chrissy's articles?

  3. What does Chrissy know about girls anyway?

THIS IS WHO THEY ARE. A bunch of mediocre, full-of-themselves white guys who want to wind the clock back to the world that Dabney Coleman presided over in "9 to 5."

  4. "Examples of fair use include commentary, search engines, criticism, parody, news reporting, research, teaching, library archiving and scholarship. It provides for the legal, unlicensed citation or incorporation of copyrighted material in another author's work under a four-factor balancing test"

Guess Waaaaska didn't learn much during his (alleged) Years of editing at Madison Newspapers. Too bad Simpson choked at one little baby scream from Whiney Dave

  5. Obviously, the Journal Sentinel copy desk does not edit Schneider's columns. How else to explain the "lip blizzard" graf? Sir, would you like me to grind some mixed metaphors over your plate of sexism? Say when!

  6. I think it is unfair usage that Mr. Schneider takes a quote from Robert Browning to defend drunk and stupid.

Note to Republicans: Hold you "balls" in Walkersha County where the DA recognizes that drunk white males are the victims, not the women they assault.

Definition of fair useage: Bob Westman's anus while mixed with the state prison population - consensual of course.
