It is shaping up to be an interesting year for Republican Women in the United States.
The presumed Republican nominee for President, Donald Trump, has been accused of rape, not once but twice. Not only has he been accused of such, by his ex wife AND a 13 year old girl, what is even more disgusting is the fact that while he stands in the shine of the mainstream media spotlight, you will have to google hard to find any information on these instances. You will have to look even harder to find a reporter who would have the courage to ask him about them.
While the charges are alleged accusations, it is not like he has a long history of treating women well.
Then came the story that long time Fox news stalwart, Gretchen Carlson, has field a sexual harrassment case against her boss Roger Ailes.
She says that she was fired because she refused to sleep with Roger Ailes.
You can read the full lawsuit here.
I say its the first time one of their reporters showed sound judgement!
Here is Mr. Ailes discussing the finer points of Falafels with O Reilly.
To be fair, since we at CogDis are nothing if not objective, Mr. Ailes said his marriage was: “boring” and openly fantasized about being stranded on a desert island with her, We believe it is safe to say that with Mr. Ailes getting on in age, he was probably talking about Fox and Friends in the morning being boring and the best thing about being stranded on a desert island would be no cable!
Secondly we see a problem with part of Ms. Carlson's lawsuit. In it she claims:
Carlson also alleges that Fox & Friends co-host Steve Doocy regularly demeaned her in the workplace by “mocking her during commercial breaks, shunning her off air, refusing to engage with her on air, belittling her contributions to the show.” She claims Doocy attempted “to put her in her place by refusing to accept and treat her as an intelligent and insightful female journalist rather than a blond female prop.”
We do not see the problem with that, and being shunned off air by Doocy is something most people should celebrate and everyone should work towards!
Its not like women in Wisconsin have it easier, our own Jesse Kremer wants Doctors to tell fables to any woman who has made the incredibly tough decision of having an abortion!
Enjoy this year ladies, because if we have another Republican sweep, maybe we can look forward to taking your voting rights away, and mandating barefoot in the kitchen time!
