The GOP Short Term Memory Loss

The down time between election and inauguration has been way more exciting than it should have been.   First off, Robin Vos, the wanna be Whitey Bulger,  has decided since Walker went down in shame, to follow the age old adage  -  The King is Dead, Long Live the King Robin!  Doing as he was told by the boys at ALEC and Scott Jensen, Robin decided, since he has a gerrymandered legislature. to transfer as much power away from Tony Evers and into his lap as he could possibly get away with, then a little more. 

The problem is this is a new era in politics and the citizens of Wisconsin are paying attention and, all but the hardest core right wingers, are not having it.

    Republican state leaders have struggled to publicly explain laws they enacted in a recent lame-duck session, amid a national onslaught of criticism from Democrats, nonpartisan groups and even fellow Republicans.
The critics largely have offered a unified critique of the measures, signed by Gov. Scott Walker last week. They’ve called them an unprecedented power grab by Walker and legislative Republicans that defied the will of voters, who elected Democratic Gov.-elect Tony Evers and Attorney General-elect Josh Kaul. Both take office in January.

When something is unjustifiable, it is impossible to justify.  That is pretty simple and easy to understand. 

We are just beginning.   There are still a couple weeks before inauguration and the Republicans are having a full out assault on anytime Tony Evers Sneezes.   The attacks this week are going to come against every single person that Tony nominates to his cabinet. 

Its starting now.  Pro CAFO, and Oompa Loompa , who hasnt made a promise he intends to keep thinks that appointing someone from Madison and Milwaukee is unacceptable.

and Jim Steineke, couldnt see the crimes that Bill Kramer was committing right in front of his eyes, but can see how after four appointments that Tony Evers hates WI.

You get the idea, anyone who read the memo and does not want to upset Robin "Whitey Bulger " Vos will be in full attack and discredit mode. 

When there is an all out assault on the Democrats, expect @newsmaciver to get the call and they jumped into action...

But Evers’ lofty words of compromise and bipartisanship don’t seem to jibe with his opening appointments. The governor-elect has quietly assembled advisory committees packed with some of the most left-leaning people from some of the more left-wing organizations in the state. Nary a conservative to be found, of course, and even truly moderate Republicans are missing from the far left-heavy advisory committees.
The lineup includes big labor bosses, extreme environmentalists, social justice warriors, and espousers of socialism.
His liberal picks shouldn’t come as a huge surprise

What our friends on the right are hoping you do not remember is some of the appointments that Scott Walker originally made(all of whom they gladly voted for).

*  Dennis Smith - Smith, the married man with 4 daughters from Washington DC, was appointed head of Department of Health Services by Scott Walker.   Smith who never met an uninsured person he was not proud of, used the job basically to bring his high school crush to WI and start an affair on our dime using our resources and then resigned and took off to DC abruptly after his affair came to light.    Smith now works for a global law firm in DC - Dentons. 

*  Michael Brickman - Brickman, a degree in political science and a member of "Friends of Scott Walker" that helped get Walker elected, was named Walker's top education policy advisor.   Brickman made a name for himself, by going to the bars in Milwaukee and getting intoxicated Democrats to say stupid things that they could run to the press with.   He "disguised" himself as "Rich in retail" when talking to people at the bars.  This experience made him qualified to set education policy in the far right world of fitzwalkerstan.   Now, to the surprise of no one, Mike "Rich in retail" Brickman works for Betsy DeVos. 

 *  Brian Deschane -  Deschane, the troubled son of Big walker donor Jerry Deschane, was appointed to an $81.500/yr job with the Commerce Department.  His qualifications, as one would expect from this administration were- no college degree, no work experience and 2 DUI's. 

* Ryan Murray - Murray, the son of another big Walker donor, Mike Murray,  was appointed original head of WEDC.  Murray, whose first audit of WEDC, found that while they had created no real jobs to speak of, had invested heavily in Wisconsin Badger tickets, vacations and iTunes gift cards( you can not make this stuff up).   This of course led to nothing but a pat on the back and told to continue on until WEDC actually ended up paying off a donors Maserati(that he named Nero).  It took competent people actually quitting, over Murray's incompetence to actually force change.   Murray currently works for the unimaginatively named "The Firm" consulting firm in Milwaukee.   

As our friends on right continue to criticize Governor Evers, remember they not only have no leg to stand on, their continual hiring of incompetents has cost our state millions!   

Scott Walker's Spending Spree

End of Summer and Back To School allows way to many activities to pay attention to, so let us catch up:

We know the Assembly Democrats have decided to move on from Peter Barca as their leader.    The Governor, who perpetually puts politics over everything, find time from his incredibly busy schedule (sarcasm alert), to let everyone know how much he loves Peter Barca:

Yes Scott Walker, who once rescinded an appointment of a college kid to the Students Board of Regents because he found out that he signed the recall.    Scott Walker is the same Governor, who sent thousands of jobs to Illinois, along with $50 million of our taxpayer dollars before he even took office.

Yes this is the positive vision Scotty Walker:

Nothing more positive about the future than comparing a bunch of teachers, nurses, police, fire, etc... walking around the Capitol to the number one terrorists organization in the world.   Lombardi he isn't!

About those good paying, family supporting jobs.  Now that the legislature has agreed to give them $3 billion dollars to come here, who gets the first (and maybe the only) good paying job from this fiasco?  

Keith Gilkes of course! 

MADISON, Wis. — Any doubt campaign politics is the driving force behind Gov. Scott Walker gambling $3 billion on a subsidy for Taiwanese electronics manufacturer Foxconn has been dispelled by the creation of a single job. According to a report from Wispolitics.com, the lobbying firm hired by Foxconn has brought on Keith Gilkes, Walker’s longtime campaign manager and the head of the Unintimidated PAC that supported his presidential ambitions, to do “public affairs and communications.”

While Gilkes is knee deep in pretty much every walker scandal, including Walker Gate and the John Doe investigation, my favorite story about Gilkes involves the O'Donnell Park tragedy.  At O'Donnell park, on the opening of summerfest, the Milwaukee County infrastructure under Milwaukee County Exec Scott Walker, crumbled.  It not only crumbled, but it fell on and killed a teenager, right in front of his parents.  

While the dust was still settling on the crumbled parking structure, Keith Gilkes sprung into action:

Gilkes, in an email written the day of the accident, advised Walker's county staff to "make sure there is not a piece of paper anywhere that details any problem at all." News organizations and lawyers representing victims and others filed numerous open record requests after the O'Donnell Park accident for inspection reports and other documents on its construction.

In the wake of an incredible tragedy, Gilkes did what almost no one else would do.  His first thought was, we need to shield Scott Walker's career from this.  So glad that he found a way to capitalize on our tax dollars some more!

But Wait there is more!

Scott Walker released his budget earlier this year, and in his budget, he forgot to include millions of dollars to upgrade Wisconsin Rapid's Alexander Field Airport, so billionaires can fly their private planes into the airport and golf at the Sand Valley Golf Resort.  

So the owner of the resort, Michael Keiser, donated $25,000 to the Republican Party of WI and another $65,000 to Scott Walker and incredibly coincidentally, $4 million dollars of upgrades to Alexander Field magically appeared in the budget.  

We know that there was absolutely NO quid pro quo on this airport deal because Scott Krug told us so:

Republican state Rep. Scott Krug, who is not on the budget committee but whose legislative district includes the golf course, said the donations don’t have anything to do with the airport project getting funded.
Krug said Keiser’s donations were to support Republicans who were doing good things for the Wisconsin economy, not to win approval of the airport funding.

If you can not believe Scott Krug, who can you believe?

One last note about Foxconn.  When The Governor offered the company that showed profits of $149 Billion dollars last year, $3 Billion dollars of our money to possibly relocate in Wisconsin, he wrote the agreement on a Post It note and signed it like it was actually binding!

"Cross my heart (and hope to die), stick a needle in my eye."  



 

What Does $349,000 Buy These Days?

What does $349,000 buy these days?

*  For about $1200 a month, it will buy you a house and a mortgage. 

*  A Mercedes Benz S 400

*  the payroll of the 1955 St. Louis Cardinals. 

* A Speech by Ben Bernanke;

*  Republican Senator Tom Tiffany:
Races in which AFC(American Federation for Children) has been active, include spending over $259,000 attacking Democrat Jeff Wright and promoting Republican Todd Novak in Assembly District 51; over $241,000 attacking Democrat Mandy Wright and promoting Republican Pat Snyder in Assembly District 85; over $54,000 attacking Democrat Dennis Hunt and promoting Republican Rob Summerfield in Assembly District 67; over $45,000 attacking Democrat David Gorski and promoting Republican Scott Krug in Assembly District 72; over $349,000 attacking Democrat Bryan Van Stippen in his race against Republican Tom Tiffany in Senate District 12; and over $62,000 attacking Democrat Mark Harris in his race against Republican Dan Feyen in Senate District 18.

We have written extensively about the American Federation for Children, and their frontman, formerly convicted felon Scott Jensen, here at CogDis and it is only fitting that they would be playing one big con, since they are primarily funded from the Amway fortune(which is one big scam where only a few benefit from the work of the many).  

That brings up some very serious questions.   

1.  How can an organization trying to steal money from public education afford to spend millions of dollars to do so? 

2.  Why give Tom Tiffany so much more money than everyone else?

3.  Why would anyone who gets less than $349,000 from American Federation for Children give Scott Jensen the time of day?   Is Tom Tiffany seven times more important to the cause than Scott Krug?  That is a question Scott Krug can contemplate when David Gorski is being sworn in in January.   

4.  If an out of state Billionaire has bought the allegiance of a candidate. why would we give them the power to enact their agenda in our great state.   

5.  Has there ever been a more bought and paid for legislator in Wisconsin than Tom Tiffany?

6.  Do you think its ok. and ever ask yourself why, people are so willing to spend so much money on a $50k/yr job?  or if that money could be better spent in the community?


We can change the direction of our state from the bought and paid for government we have no, to one where we actually have a say in our own Government.

Gordon Hintz Hates Sondy Pope

We brought you the story yesterday of how Gordon Hintz was so incensed that someone would dare to challenge Robb Kahl in a primary.

This is such a distraction," said Rep. Gordon Hintz, D-Oshkosh. "Think about this. Hopefully all 35 of us (Democrats in the Assembly) are going to come out strongly for Robb. Every dollar and every door that we do for our colleague is another dollar and another door that we’re not doing in a Republican district that we can win. When we pick up a seat or two fewer in the fall, I’m going to think about these so-called progressive hypocrites that went after this unnecessary seat to make themselves happy or to high-five their friends at the co-op."

The vision of 35 sitting assembly reps doing doors in a Democratic Stronghold to make sure their buddy gets reelected while letting reps such as Scott Krug, Andre Jacque and Robin Vos skate free, while passing a whole different group of young progressives doing doors for their candidate would explain everything you need to know about the end of the Wisconsin idea.

However as we say here, there is more....there is always more.

It seems as if Robb Kahl is not the only Democratic incumbent to have someone challenge them in a primary.   For instance, Representative Sondy Pope has TWO challengers.     Luke Joseph and Dale Yurs.  

Yet Mr. Hintz expects Sondy Pope to spend her time helping Robb Kahl(who probably has a zero percent chance of being beaten) get reelected.   Despite the best effort of the Solidarity singers and your local coop to hijack the election.  

So the question you have to ask is why is Robb Kahl untouchable but Sondy Pope should be left to twist in the wind?   Is it because she is a woman?  Or does he not want to work with someone who tragically lost his ability to walk?   Or maybe there are other reasons he is not telling us.  

Maybe the best thing to do is contact Gordon Hintz and ask him to explain and tell him he owes the people of the Democratic party an apology!

Johnny & Jane Reb for Assembly

Two Republican Wisconsin Assembly candidates are on record saying they would support nullification.   Well one (Nancy Vendermeer - candidate 70th district) said she would support it and one (Scott Krug - 72nd district) said he would sponsor it(amphasis mine)! 

Nancy:

The questionnaire from Campaign for Liberty, a political organization founded by former Texas Rep. Ron Paul, asked candidates, "Will you support legislation to nullify ObamaCare and authorize state and local law enforcement to arrest federal officials attempting to implement the unconstitutional health care scheme known as ObamaCare?"

Vandermeer responded to the questionnaire saying she would support such legislation.

Scott:

 Rep. Scott Krug, R-Nekoosa, also responded to the questionnaire in 2012, going one step further saying he would sponsor such legislation.

Both candidates now say they were taken out of context, because both of the statements "Yes I support it" and "I would not only support it, I would sponsor it"  are so hard to comprehend.  

Professor Ed Miller explains this very well:

"This was settled by the Civil War," said Ed Miller, professor of political science and public policy at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. "We fought a war, and at least I thought the North won. You can't do this, and individuals who suggest this are treading pretty close to essentially illegal activity.

"To say you're not going to abide by the laws of the United States, because that is essentially what you're saying, is pretty close to treasonist," Miller said.

Come on Wisconsin, are you really going to vote for Johnny and Jane Reb???

Why Is This Man In Your Mailbox?

Brookfield's Bob Reddin is the registered agent for a dark money corporation inexplicably called "Jobs First Coalition(JFC)"!  Chances are if you are in a competitive district in Wisconsin, he has cluttered up your mailbox with filth.

  It is a group dedicated to electing Republicans in Wisconsin via really negative mailings.   JFC has almost a million dollars on hand, and regularly gives to such extremist groups as Wisconsin Club For Growth and American Federation for Children(starting to see a theme?). 

They are registered as a 501(c)4 whose stated goal is: 

devoted to making the creation and retention of family-supporting jobs the top priority of government and community leaders in Wisconsin.

 The problem they have is they forget to mention jobs in any of their negative misleading hateful ads. To be fair though, they did create some jobs(albeit legal) when a complaint was filed against them for their despicable attempts to derail Assemblyman Steve Doyle.

JFC is at it again, this time smearing Attorney Dana Duncan in a last ditch desperate attempt to get the honey fibber re-elected!

JFC coalition sent a mailer to Assembly District 72 that was beyond the pale.

 

What really happened in this case?  According to Jason Zencka of the Stevens Point Journal:

A Plover man received a 20-year prison sentence Monday for repeatedly sexually assaulting a 7-year-old boy he
baby-sat in April 2006.
Jeremy W. Smith is accused of sexually assaulted the juvenile as many as 25 times in the boy's house while the boy's
parents worked out of town. Smith only spoke once during the hearing, to say he did not wish to speak on his own
behalf.
Charges against Smith came in May 2007, shortly after he was convicted of sexually assaulting two girls in 2006.
Smith is serving a 14-year prison sentence after being convicted of those charges.
At the time of his previous conviction, Smith said through his attorney, Sheila Kessler, that he did not assault the girls,
although if he did, his actions were committed during a time in which he "blacked out." Smith pleaded guilty to spare
the girls the emotional turmoil of trial, Kessler said.
On Monday, Smith's new attorney, Dana Duncan, said that Smith had only admitted to assaulting the 7-year-old boy
once in April 2006, not several times.
Descriptions of Smith's own childhood during the hearing verged on the nightmarish, with Judge John Finn describing
Smith's father as a man who sexually assaulted Smith and threw knives at him. Smith was later sexually assaulted by
his mother, said Finn, who said she would leave Smith and his siblings in a house for days without food or running
water.
Little was said about Smith outside of his childhood abuse and his criminal history, both of which were lengthy.
Smith's new sentence will run consecutive to his previous sexual assault sentence. The first 10 years of his new
sentence will be served in confinement, the last 10 in extended supervision.
"There is potential for Mr. Smith, despite these heinous crimes, to actually be able to deal with these demons and try
and overcome them to become a relevant member of society," said Duncan.

While Bob Reddin is the current figurehead of JFC, it was originally founded by formerly convicted felon Scott Jensen.  It was Jensen's first foray back into politics after leaving in total disgrace from the orginal caucus scandal.  This explains where the fear mongering, lies and lack of ethics come into play.  Also, Mr. Reddin is an Alderman in the city of Brookfield.   Maybe it is time for his constituents to ask why he would take part in such a despicable, unethical shadow election ploy and ask him what else he is hiding!!

The Honey Fibber!

The Honey Badger has taken the internet by storm.  It is a quick three minute video(NSFW) showing The Honey Badger in his natural habitat and how nothing bothers it.  
In Wisconsin, we are lucky to be home of his distant relative the Honey Fibber!   The Honey Fibber is native to Assembly District 72 but can also be found in rare sightings around Madison. 
See Honey fibber was elected in  2010 while making many campaign promises.  One of them was that he vowed  "not to collect one cent of (legislative) per diem money ever".  See honey fibber he dont care what he said, he is going to collect $10,560 in per diem(ie taxpayer money) for "working" 120 days.  
The Honey Fibber is really pretty bad*ss, he has no regard for any voter whatsoever.   Ewww what's that?  He even promised to serve for a maximum of two terms.   Honey Fibber don't care as he is running for his third term.   As HF says:
"My kids are 11, 10, 9, 8, 7. If I went there for more than four years, they'd probably disown me.
"So even if I don't favor term limits," he continued, "I'm putting a term limit on myself right now for all the audience out there listening. Four years — done. Whoever else wants to come along, more than fine."
We have this crazy thing called the First Amendment, but Honey Fibber, he don't care about no amendments.  He will ignore those things and sue a blogger for writing a story he doesnt like. 
What's interesting is other candidates will go out and actually meet with constituents.   The other candidates will actually attend public forums, but Honey Fibber will back out with no explanation.  Honey Fibber does not need to meet with the people of his district, they know he does not mean what he says anyway.
So this election season be careful of the Honey Fibber, I believe there is more than one running around WI!

Updated - Top ally of the Big Ag and polluters running scared, as he works in service of Scott Walker's plan that toxifies lakes, streams and aquifers

Wisconsin State Rep. Scott Krug (Wisconsin Rapids and ALEC) says he intends to file a libel suit against MAL Contends because MC points out that Krug is an anti-clean water, ALEC stooge who knows less about caring for the environment than he does about libel law.

Krug sent an email to MC last night (Sunday) in which Krug writes: "The post forwarded to me is libelous and we will persue (sic) action."

The Krug email was followed by a similar email to clean water advocates living in Wood and Adams counties, at least some of whom serve on the Citizens Groundwater Advisory Group, an informal group that Krug put together as a PR job to convince people that Krug is actually against the siting of a massive concentrated agricultural feeding operation (CAFO) in central Wisconsin, and that Krug really, really cares about the environment.

Monday afternoon Krug sent an email to Donald Ysted of Nakoosa in Wood County.

Writes Krug: "Criticism is part of the process, I'm more than happy to take my lumps when deserved, helps me learn from mistakes and become a better legislator. I won't stand for outright lies simply because there is some truth surrounding them."

Lies and "some truth" do not typically make for compelling libel actions.

Krug is scared because the proposed massive CAFO is about as popular with his constituents as a warm glass of liquid cow manure.

Krug will face Dana Duncan of Port Edwards who has made safeguarding Wisconsin's waters a centerpiece of his campaign, and is unflinching in his opposition to the proposed CAFO.

Early this afternoon, Krug responded to an email from me and wrote: "Do you intend to retract the following statements? 'And cynical, corrupt politicians are providing political cover for the polluters.'
'Instead Krug is assisting Scott Walker, Walker's DNR and the Dairy Business Association in their project in which one objective is to contaminate and literally toxify Wisconsin lakes and other waters.'"

To which I responded: "Of course not. By the way, truth an excellent defense against defamation accusations."

Still waiting to see if Krug is really dumb enough to file a libel suit or if an attorney wises the kid up.

For What Its Worth, Here are some of my endorsements:

Governor -

I do not endorse, but I voted for Bret Hulsey as a protest vote to let the powers that be know that how they have handled this race is wrong, damaging in the short term and destructive in the long term.  Do I want Scott Walker to win again?  Absolutely not!   Do I think Brett Hulsey would be a better Governor than Scott Walker -  By leaps and bounds yes!

Lieutenant Governor- 

I do endorse Mary Jo Walters!!   I think the work she has done gathering signatures, engaging people and talking actual issues should be rewarded.  I appreciate what John Lehman has done in the past but his time has past.  When he ducked a debate he showed me his time has come and gone.  

The 63rd Assembly district - 

Bryn Biemeck -  Anytime you have a chance to knock Robin Vos from an elected position you need to take it.   Redistricting has made it almost impossible in many seats for the opposing party to make a difference.   With no real Democratic race on the ballot(I dont care who wins the AG, they are all head and shoulders better than JBVH or the his little twin replacement), now is your chance to show up on Tuesday and make a huge difference in the state of WI politics.

 In an off year primary, you can make a difference here!!

Senate District 21 -

Jonathan Steitz -  Triple dipper and former senate loser, Van Wanggaard, was being rewarded by the republican party for turning on the union he belonged to his whole career by having a distrcit redrawn for him where he might be able to win.  Then extremist Steitz stepped in to run and Van was screwed.  He does not have the appeal to the moderates or the left and the far right is now behind Steitz who strong believes in secession.    As the above race, you can make a difference here and watch the crazy Jonathan Steitz win and then all of the sane people in the district can get behind Randy Bryce who is a much much better candidate than both of them combined.  

6th Congressional District:

Glenn Grothman.   Here is another race that l would love to see the local Democrats cross over and support Grothman.   Democratic candidate Mark Harris will win in November anyway, and I am a firm believer that the bigger stage that Glenn Grothman has the better it is for everyone on the left!  

Wisconsin 72nd Assembly district.   

Scott Krug has to go!  He really really has to go.  Dana Duncan is the one to send him packing and represent the 72nd Assembly District like it should be represented - intelligently!    First he has to win the Democratic primary against a long time party machine backed candidate.   Please help him get through the primary and lets go about beating Scott Krug.    

Senate District 17:

This is a race where every democratic vote will matter.   There is long time local resident Ernie Wittwer running against political insider Pat Bomhack.  Bohmack will be more of the same vanilla, center right,m kowtow to the republican candidate that we have way too much of in Madison, WI.   Wittwer is the one to keep the tradition of independent thought, well spoken and carefully considered positions that District 17 is used to.   I recommend  Wittwer!

Krug's Subterfuge

"My first spending cut is promising not to collect one cent of (legislative) per diem money ever," Scott Krug(R- Nekoosa)  told the Wisconsin State Journal in 2010.



Forgetting that fact that not collecting per diem's is NOT a spending cut, let's look at the definition of ever.

 Now, as so often happens in Wisconsin, reality and the republican talking points do not match up!

 But recently released records show Krug finished in the top 20 in the state Assembly for these tax-free payments in 2013, banking $10,560 for 120 days of work in Madison. That comes on top of his salary of $49,943 per year.

Krug's explanation:

"Obviously, those first two years in office, that's a fifth of our salary, leaving it on the table there," he said. "That's a decent sacrifice to make for the situation we were in."

Who knew that campaign pledges had term limits?

"Apparently, Scott Krug's promises are only good for two years," said Scott Spector, executive director of the liberal group Wisconsin Progress.

We know that Scott Krug is not one of the brightest bulbs on the Holiday tree, so let's help him out.

 Per diem is NOT salary (you would think someone who is making major fiscal decisions would understand that).

Krug won by 100 votes in the last election, let's hope there are 50 people in Nekoosa sufficiently embarrassed by his incompetence that they switch their vote!

This IS What Hypocrisy Looks Like.....

My old friend Julaine Appling was profiled in the Capital Times today.  The UNMARRIED and childless Julaine Appling is ahead of the anti-gay group Wisconsin Family Action,and also has "lived" with a female colleague for "many years".  There is obviously nothing wrong with that, unless of course you ask the Wisconsin Family Action hate group.  

In lieu of President Obama's recent announcement of support for gay marriage, the anti gay rhetoric has been ramped up, so the CT thought they would give Ms. Appling a forum to do so.  She did not disappoint!

I would submit that (Obama’s announcement) was the culmination of decades of the media and education sending a message that “marriage is whatever I want it to be, marriage is about my personal happiness, it’s about me!”

It’s not about me. It’s about children. Now, there are couples who choose not to have children and that’s their right, but the bulk of them do have children. What we know (is) the way we prepare the next generation to become the workforce, the taxpayers, the geniuses, the entrepreneurs … is for them to be brought up by a married mom and dad.

Then she talked about where her views come from:

CT: A poll recently showed that the vast majority of people — even those born during the 1940s — have had pre-marital sex.
Appling: No polls and no societal drift will ever make right wrong and wrong right. I come at life from a core set of beliefs. My worldview is fixed firmly in one source, and that is Scripture. That is my external, objective, forever-settled truth.

Unfortunately, they did not ask her what Scripture she is referring too.   But wait there's more.

CT: What do you say to somebody who says he or she wants to follow Christian guidelines but is attracted to members of the same sex?
Appling: I can understand that. You have to make a decision and you may need help to make this decision. People have left gay lifestyles by the droves successfully. I believe they need to talk to people, maybe they need to speak to both sides but they at least need to speak to the side that says you can go in another direction.
Same-sex attraction is real. The question is do you have to act on it? I would submit you don’t have to act on it.

I wonder how exactly people have left the "gay lifestyle" in "droves", any documented cases?   Finally the kicker.  The one where she shows exactly who she is and why her opinion means nothing.

CT: And what if Walker wins and the GOP keeps its majorities? What’s the next step for your movement?
Appling: We’ll pick up where we left off to make sure that we get language to protect religious freedom. We’ll be working on divorce modification as it relates to couples with minor children. Things like changing the waiting period (required before a divorce is finalized).

I am sure she will have no problem working with multiply divorced Robin Vos to make sure divorce is harder to get.  She can always enlist the help of  Luther Olsen, Steve nASS, Scott Suder, Scott Krug, or Dan Knodl.  

She can also count on the help of two of her most important allies.    Her wonder twin, the unmarried childless Glenn Grothman, and also Rep. Don Pridemore who also thinks that women should stop complaining about their husbands and remember the time:

 By now, most people have heard of the Wisconsin GOP’s efforts to label single parenthood as a form of child abuse. There’s no basis in the claim, of course, and is simply another way to shame women (who comprise the majority of single parents) for not existing within a narrow and rigid social structure. A new wrinkle has surfaced as the bills’ co-sponsor, Representative Don Pridemore (R-Heartless Scumbag) has gone on the record as opposing divorce even in the event of a abusive spouse.
So if you are a woman regularly being beaten by your husband, you are a bad mother if you seek a divorce.
“If they can refind those reasons and get back to why they got married in the first place it might help,” said Representative Don Pridemore.
