The state lost 6,300 construction jobs between April and June, according to preliminary, seasonally adjusted estimates by the federal Bureau of Labor Statistics and the state's Department of Workforce Development.And with the Wage Theft Law and the repeal of Prevailing Wage law, things are only going to continue the downward spiral.
That's the largest two-month drop by number and percentage (5.67 percent) in the 25-plus years of state data in the Current Employment Statistics program, which samples a small percentage of employers monthly.
