Walker, fresh from his official campaign kickoff event at the Waukesha County Expo Center, traveled 3.5 miles north to the Milwaukee Marriott West in Waukesha for what the invitation described as “An Exciting Celebration with Governor Scott Walker.”Make sure you read the whole article to get the names of the people that Walker serves and see to it that they get none of your money other than what they already stole.
The price of admission was a minimum contribution of $500 with the co-chairs committing to raise at least $27,000 each for Walker’s campaign. Platinum hosts contributed at least $5,400, gold hosts at least $2,700, silver hosts at least $1,000 and bronze hosts $500.
Among the hosts, Walker raised at least $570,000 at the private event. Invitations also were sent to other prospective guests.
Walker’s campaign chairman Michael Grebe and finance co-chair Jon Hammes were among the 23 names listed as co-chairs. Hammes, one of the most prominent real estate developers in the state, leads Hammes Co. in Brookfield. Grebe is president and CEO of the Bradley Foundation in Milwaukee and formerly led Wisconsin’s largest law firm, Foley & Lardner LLP in downtown Milwaukee.
