Robin Vos - Quote of the Day

By Jeff Simpson

Continually, time after time after time, you have embarrassed the state of Wisconsin, said Rep. Robin Vos, R-Burlington. Seated just feet from him were the targets of his fury: Kevin Reilly, University of Wisconsin System President, and David Ward, interim chancellor of UW-Madison.

I wonder if these people would agree?

There are more than 400,000 UW-Madison alumni living around the world. UW alumni or faculty have been awarded 17 Nobel Prizes and 26 Pulitzer Prizes. 2. He knows and is proud of it. This little vermin has a modicum of power and he's going to use it to bully anybody and everybody. He has made himself "KING" of the Assembly and wants his subjects to kiss his ring and the rest of us are supposed to kiss his a**! I am sick of this mouth piece calling down the GAB and in essence telling the retired judges that make up the GAB board that they are liars and pawns. This phony little boy needs more than a beer poured on his head to make him see the error of his ways. Racine County should be ashamed to have this fool speak for them.

  3. What about the 10s of thousand of current UW system students and their parents that this bully is minimizing their current education and therefore the ultimate degrees.

At a future job interview: What you have a degree from a University of Wisconsin campus. Your governor and his legislators don't even respect it's worth. Why should we when there are so many other fine choices candidates for the job.

I am eagerly awaiting your post about a more recent topic - say Tammy Baldwin and her corrupt cover up....

  6. Robin Vos just had it wrong. Time after time the state Republicans have embarrassed the people of Wisconsin. My 5 kids went through the UW-Milwaukee system. They are doing very well thanks to the educational system in the state. My husband works out of state just to have a job, now. He had well over 6 years of school and training for his job. I am so thankful that our kids are all grown and through all of their schooling and they all have decent jobs. I just worry about what the system is going to be like when all is said and done. I worry about my grandson who will be starting kindergarten this year and our future grandchildren. We always stressed to our kids that education is very important. My husband and I volunteered many hours in our schools to make sure the kids had a great school experience when growing up and this state is making a travesty out of the whole system. Very disappointing.

  7. At the risk of invoking Godwin's Law too early in this thread, has anyone else noticed Speaker Vos's remarks are beginning to sound similar character to those made by Roland Feisler?

  9. Haha! Homer Stupid just trashed the splash page of this similarly stupid blog with his copy & paste lists.

Well done, Homer! As a writer you're a great shoe salesman.

    1. Why spend time on this blog if it is so stupid? Robin Vos was out of line to say what he said. I can't believe the lack of civility in government today. Instead it is like a lynch mob waiting to pounce on ANY ONE who opposes the regime.
