Canada Schools Scott Walker on US History

By Jeff Simpson

By now, everyone knows, that Scott Walker took time away from drinking to go on national television and advocate building a wall along not only the Southern Border, but the northern border also.

Yes he truly wants to wall off Canada.

Walker's sinking poll ratings, show that Americans are used to Mr. Walker showing his ignorance and have become good at laughing at him but not taking him seriously.  Unfortunately our ally and neighbor, has to take such silliness seriously, so they issued a report schooling Scott Walker on US History:

Walker said on Sunday that a border wall between Canada and the U.S. was a "legitimate issue for us to look at." Critics quickly pointed to his comments as another example of conservatives spouting extreme rhetoric on immigration. His spokeswoman has since clarified that he wasnot "advocating" for such a wall.
The Huffington Post asked the Canadian Embassy in Washington to weigh in on Walker's original comments. Spokeswoman Christine Constantin responded with a long statement about the safety of that shared border.
The first point: "It is a fact that no terrorists have been successful in attacking the United States coming through the Canadian border. All of the terrorists responsible for 9/11 were in the United States with visas issued by the U.S. government."
It is funny to me that any talk of increasing tariffs on imports(the way other countries impose tariffs on our goods), or ending loopholes that allow tax breaks for outsourcing American jobs is protectionism, but building a wall across the border is a "legitimate idea".

Also at some point, you would think Scott Walker would get sick of embarrassing himself but not sure that is possible for him.   Shame is definitely not one of his virtues.

Are we really going to elect Scott Walker for President and send the message - Mr. President build that wall?

I think its best for all of us, if Mr. Walker just travels around eating ribs and lets the debate of the issues for the educated adults in the room.

  1. Actually I think it would be better for all of us if Walker would put on a paper hat and go back to McDonalds and flip hamburgers.
