Good morning. Good morning. In less than an hour, voters from here in Milwaukee will join other voters from all around the state, and you will be launching the largest electoral battle in the history of Wisconsin. Wisconsin, that name should have new meaning for all of us today. We can't be consumed by our petty differences anymore. We will be united in our common interest Perhaps it's fate that today's not the Fourth of July, even though you will once again be fighting for our freedom. Not just from tyranny, oppression or persecution, but from annihilation of all we hold dear. We're fighting for our right to live, to exist, and should we win the day, the Fifth of June will no longer be known as Liberation Day in Seychelles, but as Independence Day in Wisconsin, when Wisconsinites declared in one voice, "We will not go quietly into the night! We will not vanish without a fight! We're going to live on, we're going to survive.Today, we will will celebrate our Independence Day!"
Now, get out there and vote the weasels out! Make sure your neighbors go! Make sure your family votes! Make sure that everyone you know or speak to has voted today!
All of Wisconsin, the nation and the world is watching us today. Let's get it done and do it in a convincing manner!

Bill Paxton, and his lack of any emotion, would be proud
ReplyDeleteFor what it's worth. My wife works with low income families in Madison and her job takes her into hundreds of homes every year. For the last week she has been canvassing these households after work and her impression is that these folks will not only vote but are absolutely giddy about it. These are the missing 2010 voters. She is taking the afternoon off to drive some of the elderly and disabled to the polls herself.
ReplyDeleteI believe the turnout in Madison will be record setting. The likely voter profile that pollsters have been using will be blown up.
On a side note, some Republican went through a low income neighborhood yesterday telling people that they would have to buy a photo I.D. to vote.
The police are now looking for him. Why do Republicans assume that they can fool people with this B.S., is it because thet're racist?
Racist? you didn't mention what race the people were. I guess maybe by saying they were low income you were referring that they weren't white. Who's racist now?
DeleteHe/she didn't have to mention it because he/she already knew what race the people were. Also, too, let's pretend that we don't know that non-whites are disproportionately represented among the poor. Nothing to see here, folks, carry on.
DeleteI agree with Capper! Vote those weasels out! My hopes are with Wisconsin today.
