Ron Johnson Bemoans The Constitution

US Senator Ron Johnson (R-Wisconsin) appeared on CNN's State of the Union gabfest on Sunday. He repeated the right wing fear campaign about ISIS and how they are an immediate threat to the United States. As proof, he cited the incident in Texas provoked by the attention-seeking Pam Geller. RoJo then the Scott Walker talking point of needing to go to war in the Middle East again, just to show them who's boss (or the real terrorists).

Then RoJo committed a gaffe by revealing a Republican talking point that they usually keep among themselves:

Johnson admitted, though, that tracking ISIS sympathizers in the United States is a particular challenge, since the group has communicated with potential recruits over social media and because law enforcement officers can't track every possible suspect.

"The problem is, what do you do with the not-guilty-yet?" Johnson said. "We do have laws, we have a Constitution, and it's extremely difficult for law enforcement officials when you might have tens of thousands of sympathizers -- how do you track them all?"

Just days after the US Court of Appeals ruled that the NSA went too far in their data collection, RoJo is complaining that they can't go further in tracking people.

But remember, folks, he is of the party that wants "smaller government."

I, for one, can not wait for Russ Feingold, the only senator to vote against the Patriot Act, to formally announce his campaign to get his seat back.
