Mitt's Libya Disaster!

Mitt Romney had the worst day politically, a presidential candidate could have.  It all started with a tragedy in Libya where the US Ambassador Chris Stevens was killed by extremist terrorists.

Mitt & Reince could not wait until the bodies were even cold before they were blaming President Obama and even worse accusing him of apologizing to the people who killed them.

In a press conference delivered minutes after Secretary of State Hillary Clinton addressed the attacks, Romney expanded on his initial statement, in which he said the administration’s first response was “to sympathize with those who waged the attacks.

“We join together in the condemnation of attacks on the American embassies and the loss of American life and join in sympathy for these people,”Romney said. “It’s also important for me — just as it was for the White House, last night by the way — to say that the statements were inappropriate, and in my view a disgraceful statement on the part of our administration to apologize for American values.”
Not only did was he despicable in his lies, he appeared (literally) to be taking great glee from this tragedy.  Here is Mitt at his press conference where he blamed President Obama:

To everyone's great relief, the sane wing of the republican party stepped out and let everyone know that what Mitt did today was unforgivable:

Some prominent republicans pulled no punches:

  • I don’t think President Obama sympathizes with those who attacked us. I don’t think any American does.” — Former Bush administration DHS Secretary Tom Ridge

  • “In the wake of this violence, the rush by Republicans — including Mitt Romney, Sarah Palin and scores of other conservative critics — to condemn him for policies they claim helped precipitate the attacks is as tortured in its reasoning as it is unseemly in its timing.” — Mark Salter, former chief of staff and top campaign aide to Sen. John McCain (R-AZ)
  • Then there is this from Kos:

: "Over the decades we have survived the leadership of stupid men, and of criminal men. We have survived carpet-bombings of substanceless rhetoric, we have inched our way forward through blizzards of

of lies, we have pretended to be outraged about sex and pretended to not be outraged at misinformation; we are a hardy lot, apparently. I would hope, though, that we are still not so desperate as to look for leadership from someone who cannot even let a man's blood dry before scrawling his own name in it."

The sad thing is that while Mitt, who is the presidential nominee for one of two major parties in the US and  keeps doubling down on a folded hand of blame Obama, yet children from around the world have a greater understanding than he does.

Looks like the republicans have the wrong nominee, when a 12 year old child understand foreign policy better than the actual candidate!

    2. The best line I heard about this whole thing is from Team Obama: "Romney has the tendency to shoot first and aim later."

    6. So on the anniversary of 9/11 we take no special precautions at our embassy in Egypt and Libya and Rommney's an idiot? So who is president and in charge right now? By the way if you agree with the tweet from the Cairo embassy please beg your followers to stop making hateful remarks about the religious beliefs of Catholics and other members of Christian faith community. Oh that's right we are unlikely to riot, burn down an embassy and kill people, never mind continue with piss Christ and the other wonderful works of art that the left uses to mock us.

      1. Are you referring to the tweet that Obama said was not authorized by the White House and is not the position of the US Government? That tweet?

And, IIRC, McVeigh was a good Christian.

      2. You mock yourself with your foolish comments. Tell me an instance when this country was attacked and within a few hours a presidential candidate attacked the president and not only blamed the president for the attack but say the president sympathized with the attackers. A Romney administration would take us closer to the mindset of the ignorant fools that attacked us on Tuesday.

    7. Who has made hateful remarks about the beliefs of Catholics and other Christians????

If you think Christian Extremists do not kill people you reeally are not much of a student of history are you?

    9. As an advertiser, I'm now starting to get complaints for running ads in the Journal/Sentinel and on WTMJ radio, because of their unbalanced reporting. The fact that this corporation has failed to report on the facts of Romney's dangerous statements, now leads me to agree with my customers. I will be ending my advertisements in these outlets.

Yeah that smart power President Obama was bringing us sure works great!!! So other side, real easy to mock Jesus and Mary, Christians don't cut off your head, burn your embassy, sodomize your ambassador and then kill him. Live dangerously, mock Islam.

So Capper it's good to see that President Obama agrees with Governor Rommeny. The statement from HIS ambassador was beyond belief. so now we apologize for having free speech. I think that's somewhere in our founding documents. Or do we only have free speech except if we mock the religion that enjoys killing.

      1. Trying to move past your spelling and grammatical errors, your lack of logic is baffling.

Christians were never violent? Have you ever heard of the Crusades?

And who is Rommeny? As for Romney, Obama never agreed that he sympathized with the terrorists. Neither have the Muslims who protested in favor of the USA. But don't let facts get in your way. After all, they're not good white folks, right?

Your irrational bigotry is making your arguments look pathetic.

    12. There is a "sane wing" of the republican party?

      When did that happen?

    13. Sane wing of the republican party.

I must have missed it when I blinked.

    14. There's a smart wing of the democrat party? I must of missed that when I blinked. Good retort!

Let's face it you don't care what Obama does you'll support him. I mean Clinton raped women and Kennedy drowned one, big yawn.......

    15. @Anon 9:12pm ... Actually, you make it easier to mock Christianity.

This planet will be better off when all religions are relegated to the dustbin of history.

      ReplyDelete
    16. @Anon 10:14 pm ... You really don't want to go down that path. What Clinton did was regrettable with Lewinsky, but there were two people consenting. The other crap was made up shit and proven false. As for Kennedy, it was a bad decision. But you know what, you weren't there. Easy to have an opinion about something you know nothing about.

Hope someone close to you never gets raped, because it's your side that doesn't give a shit about women. Oh and ... big yawn.

      ReplyDelete
    17. Your right I wasn't there, but my moral and ethical compass isn't so fucked up that I'd leave a woman in the car as it slowly went under water. Hope no one takes a ride with you.

Your other comment is a little obtuse, so the Republican party is for rape??? Hell you'r the party of Clinton. Oh that's right all made up. I thought the Democrats are all about sexual harassment and sexual assault. So a 20 something intern had as much power to resist the amorous advances of the ruler of the most powerful country in the world, right.

So I had to watch the moron Carney go on tv and say all these protests are about a movie no one has seen, not about the United States or it's government. And you say Governor Romney stepped in it.

      ReplyDelete
    18. Didn't say it was right, f*ckshit. As far as the other shit, that's straight from Ann Coulter. Talk about a lack of moral compass you loser.

      ReplyDelete
    19. F*ckshit, wow struck a nerve. What Kennedy did was a "bad decision". No, it was a little more than a "bad decision", but being a liberal means never having to say your sorry. Oh before you go all BDS on me I disagreed plenty with our last president. But he's not the president now, President Obama is. It's his foreign policy, remember what he told us how the Muslims will love us once he's in. So what about Carney, the Mideast is burning - "death to America" but it's not because they hate us, it's because of a movie, yeah that's delusional.

    20. Actually, anonymous troll, you look like a scared little brat. You are throwing stones through all of the panes in your glass house and being smug like you accomplished something. If the Republicans had the high road on respectability and morals, you'd might, just might, have a reason to talk. But when you consider the rampant racism, fascism, and adultery on the right, you'd best clean your own house first.

      ReplyDelete
    21. Well Capper I'm not saying I have the high road on respectability. Republicans have let me down over and over throughout the years. Scott Walkers crooked bunch from the County and those he took to the state are a prime example. The point is you see no wrong in ANYTHING a democrat does. President Obama is just so wonderful and God like in your eyes. I know nothing is his fault it's all the fault of GWB. So just make him omnipotent dictator and he can throw all us evil Republican's in the gulag. You know that's what you really want.
