When Mitt rMoney was asked to define middle income he gave the answer you would expect.
But how does he define "middle-income"? The Republican presidential nominee defined it as income of $200,000 to $250,000 a year.
The problem with that is he is incredibly wrong. Most Americans do not see $200,000 in 5 years time. According to the Census Bureau, middle income is just over $50,000/yr.
Mitt should know that number, its about the cost that Mitt had to pay to put a car elevator in one of his many homes,
Speaking of Mitt's homes here is one of them, of course he thinks $250,000/ yr is poor!

Beware of making a "you didn't build that" here. You've left off two very important words... he actually said "$200 to $250K and less"...
ReplyDeleteAnd what is Obama's cutoff for not raising taxes? Umm, that would be $250K.
Let's be better than them, OK?
Mitt through the and less in as an after thought or else he would have prefaced it with less not ended his statement with it.
DeletePresident Obama says UP TO 250k is middle class. Unlike Mitt, Presidet Obama is fully aware that the bottom income line in the US is not 200/k yr!
I stand by this!
Mitt Romney's campaign is holding a contest that will award two winners a day aboard "Hair Force One" with Mitt. That's Ann's playful name for the jet, a nod to her husband's impeccably kept 'do. "
ReplyDeleteHaving to be contained on a plane for hours with those vacuous superficial people would have me tearing my hair!
