Solidarity Fish Fry, Week 28: Going Cold Turkey (Fish)

Last week, I had the particularly unpleasant task of informing the gentle eater that
the management at Serb Hall.  Despite the overwhelming support of the union workers, Serb Hall's management has decided to forsake the best interest of their workers and of themselves by declaring negotiations with the union to be at an impasse and refusing to return to the bargaining table.

Sadly, I have no better news to bring to the gentle reader this week.  We have heard from Local 122 and have learned that there has been no progress.

So, just as last week, if they won't return to the bargaining table, we won't be returning to their tables.

It's that simple.

I really do hope that the management grows up soon.  I miss the camaraderie and the solidarity.

But it's really Randy Bryce that I'm worried about.  He's been running around with a 55 gallon drum of tartar sauce, putting it on everything, from fish to chicken, hot dogs to brats, from hamburgers to steak.

We tried to do an intervention, but he just shouted, "Lather it up!" and poured some tartar sauce on a piece of chocolate cake.

Either they have to go back to the negotiations table or Randy will have to go back to the Mrs. Paul's Tartar Sauce Detox and Rehab Center.

In the meantime, we are in search of a new place to hold our gatherings.  If Serb Hall doesn't want to respect the unions, they don't need our union dollars.  If you have any suggestions, leave them in the comments or drop me a line.
