Move to Amend Still On The Move To Amend

Move to Amend is a grassroots organization that is sweeping the nation with a groundswell of support whose intent is to get Congress to pass a law overturning Citizens United by labeling people as people and corporations and corporations.

Locally, the have succeeded in getting enough petitions signed to have it on the ballots in Wauwatosa, Shorewood and Whitefish Bay.

On Wednesday, October 9th, they will be submitting their petitions for Scott Walker's base of Waukesha:

Also on Wednesday, there will be a meeting in Fond du Lac at the Fond du Lac Public Library, 32 Sheboygan Street (map) from 6:00-7:30 pm.

It should be noted that not one of these cities ever tried once to charge Move to Amend to put their referendum on the ballot like Chris Abele did when they tried to do it for Milwaukee County as a whole.

And with the likes of Scott Walker and Chris Abele and now Mary Burke, we need to have Citizens United overturned more than ever.

  1. Thanks for spreading the word! The amendment will also be considered on the Spring ballot in Waterloo and Edgerton.

We are working to get on the ballot in Lake Mills, Delavan, Elkhorn and Lake Geneva and need all the help we can get getting petition signatures.

There is a "Get Money Out" Forum Saturday, Oct. 12th at the public library (225 N. Oneida) in Appleton starting at Noon.
