Becky is Shocked(Sometimes)!!!

By Jeff Simpson

While I am no huge fan of Debbie Wasserman Schultz, she made an appearance at the Milwaukee Athletic Club to promote the female lineup of Democratic candidates we have in WI.   She then made a very strong statement:

Democratic National Committee chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz ripped into Republican Gov. Scott Walker's record Wednesday during a round-table discussion on women's issues at the Milwaukee Athletic Club.
The Florida congresswoman said: "Scott Walker has given women the back of his hand. I know that is stark. I know that is direct. But that is reality."
Wasserman Schultz added: "What Republican tea party extremists like Scott Walker are doing is they are grabbing us by the hair and pulling us back. It is not going to happen on our watch."
Lieutenant Governor Rebecca Kleefisch came out of hiding to tell us she was shocked by the language!!

Republican Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch said she was "shocked" that Wasserman Schultz used domestic violence language to discuss political disagreements.
"I think the remarks were absolutely hideous and the motive behind them was despicable," Kleefisch said.
Kleefisch called on Democratic gubernatorial candidate Mary Burke to "denounce these outrageous statements" made by the DNC leader.

Yes domestic violence is no joke, raping young girls is something we can joke about in Wisconsin but Domestic violence is off limits!

Number of Walker/Kleefisch "denouncements" of Roger Rivard -  zero.

Domestic abuse is absolutely 100% no joke and no way I would ever support someone who had been accused and arrested for it before!*

*Unless of course said person is running on the republican ticket for Wisconsin State Senate and has given lots of money to the "friends of Scott Walker campaign".  Then he can't be all bad can he

Number of Walker/Kleefisch "denouncements' of Bill Feehan - Zero

As a matter of fact :

Nevertheless, his early fundraising was strong enough to put him in second place among state legislative candidates through the first half of the year, and he said recent fundraisers — including one last weekend with Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch — pushed his campaign past $100,000, giving him a rare lead over the incumbent.

Again, Domestic Abuse is something that is so serious and hideous it should never ever be talked about.   Sexual Abuse on the other should be covered up and rewarded.  Hey at least the republican leader from Waukesha never hit a woman!*

* I know the republicans eventually removed him from leadership, but yet allowed it to happen over and over until he got caught by an outside source.  They were also so upset and disgusted with his actions they allowed him to keep his job and benefits.  Bill Kramer is still being paid full salary and benefits by the taxpayers of Wisconsin thanks to republican inaction.

Number of Walker/Kleefisch "denouncements" of Bill Kramer - 0

I guess Ms. Kleefisch gets selectively "shocked".

  1. What Debbie said is no where as bad as what Limbaugh says on a good day.

  2. Jeff you are correct on all points. However I think what Debbie Wasserman Schultz is doing goes much deeper. Not what I would have expected from her.

    1. I agree that it was stupid but Burke did not need to touch it. She didnt need to denounce or approve of it. if the press persisted, here is my answer.

I do not approve of the congresswoman's analogy. While Scott Walker has not been a friend to the women of Wisconsin, I would not use any domestic violence analogy to describe his backwards policies.

I also appreciate the Lieutenant Governor's concern, it is unfortunate though that her actions of headlining a Bill Feehan fundraiser do not match her spoken words!

  3. Leave it to a liberal blog to lie about "facts".

    Hint: Google "Walker Rivard Endorsement"

From HuffPo: "Walker first endorsed Kramer’s ouster on Monday, calling his behavior “outrageous,”

Why ruin a good narrative with facts?

    1. well anony, unlike my counterparts on the right, facts matter so here they are :

I googld Rivard/Walker and you are correct, he kind of sorta denounced him

Walker, who hosted a Sept. 17 fundraiser for Rivard, also issued a statement critical of Rivard's comments

"State Representative Rivard's comments were offensive and disrespectful to victims of rape," Walker's statement said. "The voters of the 75th Assembly District will determine whether he has fully accounted for these indefensible comments."

Walker's statement did not explicitly revoke the endorsement, but Walker spokesman Tom Evenson later clarified that the governor was pulling his endorsement.

Not very strongly but kind of, not a single word from Becky though.

If you also remember, the repubs gave rivard a standing ovation on his last day and if I remember right, Scott Suder shed some tears.

#2 yes he did call for him to be removed from his leadership position but it was late to the party on that as were all republicans. He ignored the dems calls to have Kramer removed from office.

      Also deafening silence from Becky!

      Those are the facts!

  4. How is an unnecessary forced vaginal ultrasound not physical violence against women? It is rape, after all. I have no problem with anything DWS said. I would have said something stronger myself.

  5. Herein is where the Democratic party fails--big time: TOO , EFFING PC.

DWS said nothing vulgar. She spoke the unspoken truth.

Rebecca Kleefisch is "shocked". I am "shocked" to know she is even given a voice. Talk about a women kept in the "kitchen". Sheesh.

Burke's silence will bite her in the butt. There has been a tea party war on women, and minorities, for years... step up or step out.

    1. Agree 100%. You keep smacking the bully in the mouth, you don't bow to them when they whine about when they get a rare taste of their own medicine.

What DWS said is child's play compared to the garbage that WisGOP spokespeople give on AM radio on a regular basis, and (mo)Ron Johnson's cover-ups of sex abuse and harrassment is far more obscene than what was said at that Dem fundraiser.

And by the way, Walker gets no props for backing away from people after they become toxic- he was more than happy to stand with them until it was not PC to do so, despite the fact that he knew these guys were bad news all along.

      I'm sick of it.

  6. Burke is doing great letting Walker hang himself, all she has to do is stay out of the way as those clowns flail around in full panic mode.

  7. My reply to Ms Kleefisch is that the truth hurts 'dontit?'
The great Email dump showed how much the GOP laughed at her and insulted her behind her back.
When she spoke at a local Tea (anarchist) Party event here about her cancer ordeal she was followed by RoJo and some other TeaPub who both told us that we needed more carcinogens in our food, water ,and air and should defund the EPA, .FDA and CDC.
/she may not have gotten the back of the hand but she did get the middle finger.
PS. It would have been nice if after she commented on the great medical treatment that she recieved she could have thanked the taxpayers who provided it. But since it was an anti-tax rally in a beautiful tax supported park one wouldn't have expected that.

  8. The State of Wisconsin has no mechanism to remove elected state officials from office other than by a recall vote of the electorate. No Republican, therefore, has "allowed" Bill Kramer to "keep his job." In fact, Republican leadership begged him to quit.

    1. They only made a show of their faux outrage after his behavior was made public and he was charged. They were perfectly fine with it for the years leading up to it.
