Businesses Are Not Open For Walker

From Politiscoop:
The outdoor outfitter Gander Mountain has abruptly cancelled two Pro-Walker scheduled events for Tuesday and Wednesday this week. The events’ focus was to train pro-walker supporters in the art of deception and propaganda in order to build support for Governor Scott Walker. This was the NRA’s attempt to prevent Walker from being just the third US governor in history to be recalled from office.

When Politiscoop contacted Gander Mountain in both Eau Claire and Wausau, Wisconsin, managers were quick to inform us that the company was unaware of what the focus of the meetings were when they were scheduled by the NRA. It wasn't until citizens opposing Scott Walker inundated the company with phone calls and emails, demanding they cancel the event. The managers went on to say that the company has no political view on the Scott Walker recall election and that all customers are important.

While it appears that private businesses are choosing to pledge their allegiance to their customers rather than Scott Walker, the NRA has decided that Scott Walker’s name is so toxic that in order to schedule events for him, they leave pertinent information out when scheduling their militant meetings. It is also a telling sign Scott Walker’s support is waning immensely, as you can see the attendee’s list dropped from 200 to “Maybe 50”. Along with Walker’s policies, his divide and conquer strategy is beginning to falter.
I can't say that I blame them for their actions. What sporting good store in their right mind would want to be associated with this:

Wrong Way Walker

  1. I will now make it a point to shop at Gander Mountain instead of Mouldy's for the rest of my life.

  2. "Another thing I'm hearing is that some of the teachers and the union people are calling local businesses asking them where they stand on this proposal and threatening to boycott those businesses," says State Senator Moulton, (R) 23rd District. "I think that is uncalled for. I think that is despicable."

  3. I thought you six-shootin' free range suburban cowboys made all your stuff out on the ranch, anyway? (or your women folk did it for you?)

I'm surprised an independent, totally self-supporting person would ever have even shopped at that place anyway....

  4. Last year, right after Walker "dropped the bomb", Gander Mountain in Wausau hosted an event with Scott Walker as the speaker. At that time, I phoned and talked with the Store Manager, who was aware of the event and Scott Walker's participation. I told the Manager I was a long-time customer, but would never patronize the store again if Walker showed up. Walker did. I will NEVER shop at Gander Mountain again. Period. Support of RW radical extremists is not in keeping with our family's values, and, that support last year of Walker has had consequences...the lost of my business, permanently.

  5. Anyone catch the NRA ad claiming hunters might lose their rifles if Walker is voted out?

The NRA must be scarred, and it further shows me that the NRA is nothing more than another lobby group that wants politicians in its pockets. Here comes the old "they gonna take yer guns away..." if you don't vote their way routine
