"At a certain point, I've just concluded, that for me, personally, it is important for me to go ahead and affirm that I think same-sex couples should be able to get married," President ObamaEven if it is later than it should be, its kind of a BFD!
In case you were wondering, Robin Vos disagrees, he thinks only heterosexuals should be able to get married(numerous times if need be).
He is indeed a tool.
ReplyDeleteInteresting editorial in the LA Times:
ReplyDeleteGov. Scott Walker and the danger of the recall movement
Will the effort in Wisconsin trigger partisan retribution?
Your mileage may vary. Partisan Retribution?
Of course Jonathan Zimmerman who is the writer of the previously mentioned editorial has a record of being wrong before.
DeleteAn editorial he wrote dated August 5 2008 is the source if this excerpt:
"And that brings us back to John McCain. During the 2000 GOP primaries, operatives for George W. Bush whispered that Mr. McCain's notorious temper made him a dangerous choice for president: After all, no one wants a madman with his finger on the nuclear button.
That's absurd. There is no reason to question Mr. McCain's good judgment, which he has honed over many years of public service. But there is every reason to question his behaviour, especially toward subordinates, which speaks badly of his basic values - and of the voters'. If Americans don't want bullies in their schools and workplaces, then they shouldn't vote to put one in the White House."
Mr. McCain's good judgement then picked Sarah Palin as running mate.
