When Is Follow The Constitution Day?

In what would be hilarious if the irony didn't make it so sad, Scott Walker had declared Tuesday to be "Read the Constitution Day."  No, really:
Governor Scott Walker proclaimed today “Read the Constitution Day” on the 226th anniversary of the signing of the United States Constitution.

“Our Founders had the forethought and wisdom to ratify a constitution and it still defends the freedoms of its citizens 226 years after its creation,” Governor Walker said. “The Founders had been through war and risked everything to build a nation where its citizens could find freedom, justice, tranquility, and prosperity. We’re proud to our honor our nation’s founding document and those who fought courageously to create and defend it, including those men and women of the Armed Forces who are defending it today.”
Yes, that really came from the putz who has been having veterans taken as political prisoners, and if they get roughed up by his jackboots...well, he can't help that.

Walker looks at the Constitution and the Bill of Rights the same way he looks at the Ten Commandments - not as things that should be followed but as a personal challenge to see how many he can break.

  1. This is Scott Walker’s favorite Constitutional Amendment to violate. That’s why he pushes Voter ID then charges citizens for the Voter ID, in other words, a Poll Tax.

    AMENDMENT XXIV
The right of citizens of the United States to vote in any primary or other election for President or Vice President, for electors for President or Vice President, or for Senator or Representative in Congress, shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or any State by reason of failure to pay poll tax or other tax.
